- This is a very friendly Badger that visits my house every night for about 2 years. He is just so cute and tame. Badgers are so fasinating to watch I never grow tired watching them. I leave out peanuts and he arrives without fail. Here he is eating a Banana. Contrary to popular belief Badgers are not aggressive creatures, but actually very social. They wont attack you unless threatened. I often comb his back and neck him with an old brush glued to the end of a short pole whilst he feeds. He has never so much as raised a paw against me. He often arrives with another Badger, i have seen a maximum of 4 together.
He eats nuts, kiwis, apples, dried fruit, grapes, bread, cheese, and really loves fresh Coconut!! - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

You've done an amazing job building it's trust! I have only ever seen one in the flesh twice and both times it was total surprise myself and the badger, both times the badger turned tail and ran...
Hopefully you get regular visits and maybe one day the family will appear as has been the case with a fox on my property, maintained regular visits, appeared with its partner quite often and one summer evening we were greeted by the mating pair complete with several grown cubs and this went on for the duration of the summer...
Now sadly we don't see hardly an individual fox never mind a family but this footage has reminded me of how amazing wild animals can be when they come to trust a kind hearted person like yourself...

SYS, There are very few people who have actually seen a live badger here in England, but you can go on a commercial badger watch if you want to see one but even then not guaranteed.
Ido have these lovely creatures visit my garden and have even hand fed them and, Cody, I still have all my fingers as well as my dick. They will always run, if they can, rather than attack.
Chris Stephens I was feeding em in Scotland recently, they aren't fussy at all, fed em sausages, bread and even donner meat. They are really noisy eaters.
Absolutely noisy, you can hear them munching peanuts down the garden.. , When it's dark that's how you know they are about so it is worth waiting for them to come to the terrace for hand feeding training.
Chris Stephens I was feeding them in the dark, and it struck me how their ears look like eyes. Wonder if that's some sort of defence mechanism.
I think their claws and teeth are good enough for defence, but they do prefer to run off when they perceive a threat..When I say run, perhaps waddle or shimmy would be more accurate

I have been quite close to badgers in the past. I found if you don't bother them they are generally quite placid but am aware of occasional attacks. Lovely creatures

The Badger should really fear humans in the wild. It's cute but in the long run it's a really bad idea to feed them.
The badgers in my garden eat absolutely anything i put out for them they love mashed potatoes but ive never tried them with bananas

So did I, I tried it once but they have no concept of a friendly gesture and think you are attacking them, although I have hopes with one that is visiting me regularly. She almost touched my nose with hers the other day, so a stroke might be possible soon. Not trying to make you jealous you understand, just saying its not easy.

Inclined to agree. I do want to point out a key difference. Foxes cannot be tamed unless bred, but badgers actually can be tamed.

The camera with this footage was found outside a badger sett with bite marks all over it. No trace of the owner has been found.

Not necessarily, they just learn to trust if you have the patience to try, and you have what they want.
they can be bred to be tamed, otherwise no. Google "Domesticated silver fox" and look for the wikpedia link. This experiment shows exactly how we could actually domesticate most wild species.

I know this is an old comment, but European Badgers are not aggressive at all. North American and Honey Badgers will rip your face to shreds.

Badger's are aggressive animals by nature. "Tame", I don't think so. Don't kid yourself, he's coming for food. I've experienced Badger's in the wild. People see this and then one day they might encounter a Badger in the wild and think, "how cute, I'm going to go pet him". Right...
