For those considering the drl kit for nc…don’t hesitate. I just did it and am tickled with it! Not only the results, but the guys at FM are just the best! There was a time when customer service was actually a thing. At that time, Flyin Miata would have stood out as one of the best. Now that it’s a joke for the most part, Flyin Miata is truly in a class of their own!
I ordered almost one of everything off MX5Things today! I have had my Miata a week and needed it all.
Definitely recommend the roof controller (mine's on a PRHT) the 'drop on unlock' auto function is great. Shame they don't have control of the windows to raise them after use but that's a Mazda issue really. Like the look of the indicator smart flasher tap to turn, may be getting one of them. Really don't like those brake light flashers, luckily they've not caught on in the UK (yet), the timed/G sensitive versions are probably not too bad though.
Regarding the DRLs being bulbs, not LEDs, on the ND, that is only for the Sport trim. Club and GT trim levels have LEDs.
This just means that those interested in the DRL harness with a Sport could change the bulbs to LEDs and then add the harness.
Hey Travis! Might want to remove the "Banks Products at FM" banner from the beginning of the video. I purchased my 2019 30AE at the Chicago Auto Show. While I was waiting for it to arrive I made the mistake of looking at the MX5 Things website. Pretty must ordered one of everything. All excellent products and was not disappointed by any of them. Don't forget to pick up a set of sequential turn signals!

Is there any chance of that smart flasher or one like it coming for the NA/NB? Also would the splice in version of the brake light flasher work with the NB?
Also, I want to do the DRL mod you guys sell for the NB, but Im not sure about how the wiring goes. Would it be possible to get a video install guide?
The universal brake light flasher should work with the NB. For wiring guides or video suggestions, email our customer support team directly. Thanks!
what kind of add-on day time running lights would u recommend for an nb that did not come with any "driving lights" in the bumper? (in other words, itll haveta go in the grill opening) thank u
We haven't experimented with add on lights for the ND, but Carbon Miata does make a grill with added lights.

the thing about the strobing brake lights is that no matter how infrequently it happens, it's still hella annoying lol
maybe the accelerometer version is the best approach tbh but most folks are just out there strobing like crazy, makin everyone else sad
If it's annoying, then you've noticed them. Which is the point, to make the small cars more noticeable for safety's sake :)
As an F1 fan, I approve of a strobbing Dole light. But only in the rain or when I’m recharging my battery so I can mitigate someone’s DRS later.

We looked into it and the hinge design isn't favorable so, it might take a while before we can nail down a solution.

Totally unrelated question, why are you wearing two rode mics?
We shoot with a redundant camera and mic setup to make sure we don't have any technical glitches. Since the video is shot live, reshoots aren't really possible.
@@FlyinMiataVideo Has the built in recorder on the mic failed?
That was my only redundancy on these units.
I’m mostly just curious if I shouldn’t trust the built in recorder.
@@JimsEquipmentShed We feed the audio from the second mic to the second camera so we don't have to resync it later. It's all to make production easier and faster, which allows us to make more videos!

I really love the rode mics. The internal recorder has been useful for times when I was just using it as a stand alone for ambient B roll inserts.
and if you have an NB....get off my lawn lol
NC and ND Miatas use CAN control for a lot of the aux systems, making them easy to program and modify with these add-ons. Unfortunately, it's not quite as simple for NA/NB cars.
