Hi Kalin! I appreciate your effort on this piece - it is not entirely true to the original though - the triplet parts you begin at 0:34 should actually start with the C (the highest notes come on the 3rd beat of the triplet to give an off-beat kind of feel). Of course, the way you play it doesn't actually sound too different, but it stood out to me as I've been listening to the album a lot and I just thought you'd like to know! Thanks for sharing! :)
Hey Mark, thanks for sharing this information. I have learned Petricor by ear and I guess this is how the mistake occurred. I should be more careful :)
Hello. I am a beginner and would like to learn this song. I need the sheet music because even watching the tutorial is too fast for me. What is a safe source to buy and download? Is there a place where 5his sheet is free? If not, I'll pay. Just wanted some advice. I love all Einaudi songs.
Hi Kalin, I love your videos man. In fact, you inspired me to go ahead and get a piano and practice myself. Is there any piano recommendations for a very beginner like myself? My budget will be around 250 euros. Thanks in advance
Hey Markus. Very nice words, thanks :) About the piano - it depends on what you want to achieve - you only want to play for yourself or you want to record as well? Your budged is on the low side for 88 weighted keys. When i was buying piano, mine was low too. What you can do is save a bit more money or just you leasing and pay it within 1 or 2 years - i did that, but i got a nice piano, which suited my needs. I had many pianos for 5 years - i started with 500 euro crappy piano, which i didn`t know what i was looking for and i bought something bad.. compared to what i had before. Check the sound here from my first piano - ua-cam.com/video/vQG-xh_GlZQ/v-deo.html Then i moved to a more advanced one - Yamaha Arius YPD 181 - ua-cam.com/video/A46pgusYwJg/v-deo.html You can clearly see the difference of the sound.. the quality and technology. I think the price was around 1200 euro. Then moved to another piano, not because of the quality but because of the recording capacity and easiness - Roland FA08. Petricor is recorded with FA 08. Price here was 1500 euro. And nowadays i have Roland HP505 RW, this is around 1700 euro. ua-cam.com/video/3P0u4etwlC8/v-deo.html Listen, buying a piano is like a car. If you invest now with low budged, you may regret, and you may lose your passion for hobby. Better invest more but buy something good and worth it. Just to give you an example - when i bought my last piano i negotiated that my warranty is 10 years! I found a nice thread for cheap pianos, which my be usefull for you www.429records.com/best-cheap-keyboard-pianos/ Also a good advise is to look for second hand digital pianos. Sometimes, you may find a good spot. I hope this helps. P.S. If you are trying to choose from couple of pianos or found something 2nd option write me more, maybe i can help you :) Regards.
I can't thank you enough for the time you have taken to write such a good advice and response!! Since I am a very beginner I would just be interested in enjoying and playing for myself. If the bug continues and I want to take it to the next level, I will then move to better pianos like you did yourself. I totally agree about what you said of better investing in a good keyboard that keeps my piano interest alive rather than in a cheap one, hence why I am willing to pay up to 750 euros for my first keyboard. Having reviewed the website you shared with me I came to the conclusion that the YAMAHA P45 is the most sutible for my situation. Not just because its price-quality ratio but also because I have seen many videos of many different people playing this keyboard in particular. Also, this site gives it a 4,5/5 score, which I guess is good. So it can't be that bad, right? I was also thinking about the KAWAI ES100, never heard of this make before, but the conclusion of the site says that it's the best one for beginners. I Also had a look to the YAMAHA P-115 and I wouldn't mind spending a little bit extra if it's really worth it. I definitely need your help on this. As I said, i am more than willing to buy any keyboard from the website you shared with me. So it's your call really, I trust you! Lol Thanks again , and sorry for this massive comment :S
Well from what i`ve seen - the Kawa ES100 does not have built in speakers, but maybe have better sound than Yamaha P45. But i`ve cheked P-115 and it is far the best from the 3. It has built in speakers, and it is and a nice sound. So you have to invest in chair, stand and headphones. It is good if there is a bundle somewhere :)
@@KalinVidinski could you pls help me out as well. What do you think about a Roland FP-30? Will it be a good option for playing classical/contemporary or any sort of music? My budget is also limited, but I at least want a digital piano with a good action/sound, having some degree of portability, and something over which I can expect to build a proper piano technique to be able to play more advanced music in the near future. Of course I am not very concerned about additional features that arranger digital pianos have, as my priority is to improve my playing as a pianist. Do you think FP-30 would be a good choice for this? Thanks.
Hi Kalin! I love your work and its you who inspired me and got me interested in Einaudi. on my channel I did a cover of Petricor, and I would love it if you could check it out and tell me how to improve! I love your work, keep making videos because you're amazing ;) Thank you !!!
I think that you play really well, but you got wrong the tempo... actually, ypu are not playmg the chords in the right time, you should play them 2 beats after
