Just been out driving for the first time today, learning in Class 2. 4 hours. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Passed my reversing today and Cpc mod 4. Day driving next week, then test. Thanks for the info. Good to know this stuff.

When I passed my class 1 back in 1989 I went from a training vehicle (Leyland) with a six speed manual box (synchromesh) to a Seddon Atkinson, 6 speed, double splitter crash gear box on my first job after passing. No sat nav, just A-Zs in those days. I about shat myself that first day and an experience like that can soon sap your confidence. I couldn't get back in my car quick enough and from that moment on drove only class 2.

I been doing this few months now. Only 2 days per week an incidentally live it can't to go full-time. Rule of thumb I've been told by other drivers on multidrop is take 15 mins in your first 6 hours then 15 mins every 3 hours because on multidrop you often not gonna hit 4.5 hours driving time even in a full day work. What confuses me a little is say I've been following the rule of thumb then hit 4.5 hours. Do I then need a full 45 mins break ? This what i been doing just to be safe. That is on top of the 15 mins I had in my 6 hours.
