Hi just watched a couple of your videos from when you first started. I passed my class 2 three weeks ago just signed up with driver hire as I am struggling to find work as a new driver. I’m worried about the tacho machine. Did the first company help you out with that or did you just learn your self? Great channel by the way. Noticed you ain’t uploaded for a while. Hope alls ok
Hey Steve thanks for the comment dude and glad you like the videos. Most companies won't go out of their way to teach you about the tacho, but if you ask they will likely give you a crash course. If you have any questions about it I'd be happy to answer them. I've not uploaded any videos is mostly due to time and also because most of my runs are pretty much the same. Doesn't make very good content if it's mostly all the same. Thoughts?
If your job is handball, don't worry, it gets easier. Used to handball 7.5 tonnes of bagged flour a day and after a while your body gets used to it. If I were you, I'd stick at it if it's handball. It keeps you fit!! Me and a drivers mate used to deliver 15 tonnes a day and walk about 4/5 miles a day just at work. Great for fitness! I prefer that to sat on me arse all day!
Yeah I gotta be careful though as me back aint as strong as it could be. Tbh I did a job the day before with the same company and it just wasn't for me. I don't mind hard graft, I used to work in a warehouse and I'd also walk like 5 miles a day lol
Depends, are you wanting to do both? Most training providers will get you in a class 2 for the first couple of days anyway to get used tonthe weight and size.
Hi Chris aye the tacho is pretty simple once you wrap your head tound it. It begins to get a bit complicated once you start reducing rest, paying back the rest and all that.
Being a coal man was a piece of piss , put you back into it, get the bags up on your shoulder’s not down in the middle of your back and you will be fine.

Do you get covered in coal dust? I wouldn’t mind the lifting but not keen on having coal dust all over me or breathing it in, cheers
When I worked there i did lol

Sounds like a nightmare haha

Did you pick using the tacho up quick enough? Mod 4 is easy and most of the stuff on it is similar to show me tell me in practical test.

Hi mate am hoping to start class 2 work very soon and was wondering what kind of nav you are using?
Hey mate I use a samsung 7" tablet with CoPilot on it. Not 100% reliable but always gets me pretty close!
Good luck job hunting
