Clay went to NY to compete in the Quikie Pro trials . Clay isn't that fond of big city's, and avoided driving into the city to be filmed walking around little Italy like his sponsors were trying to force him to do. The food and waves in Long Beach were all Clay needed to feel right at home. The water was even trunkable, well for Clay at least due as Aspergers gives him a larger tolerance to pain and extreme temperatures. Clay and I met some really great people on this trip. A big shout out to Mother Mary and Ohana, (Ballsacks mum) for taking care of us as if we were her own. Also a big thank you to Anthony Salerno for the sharing his local knowledge and helping us find uncrowded perfect surf and the best damn underground Deli's and returaunts in Long Beach. Anthony was living in his hurricane flooded house and taking care of his family while still finding time to take us in like family. Much Mahalos

What I love about Clay's surfing is that he takes waves that many surfers wouldn't even paddle into then makes your jaw drop.

first of all this is in september (around the 15th) and the water doesn't get cold until later in the month.....i surfed long beach around the same time and it was easily boardies....the ocean takes more than twice as long to get cold or inversely, heat up.

Sir Claymore Mine Fragging Divine talent over the ocean with an aura flame. It is as if his board and body are the brush and the wave is the canvas. The creativity comes in bursts of spray where he throws chunks of ocean into the backdrop, disappears and then out of nowhere paints himself back into an impossible place on a wave. Marzo for President.

I was speaking from the heart in response to something I heard his Mother say about him and his relationship with the ocean versus his struggles with the People like me that you hate and He has trouble socializing with. I am an ex-surfer, who has basically died out of water. I find my hope in watching others surf, in the far off hope I will get back out there. I may have been one of the bums in front of your house, even, at some point, but I wouldn't have been yelling, but smelling of shit.
