Morning Bible Devotion: Psalm 119

Pastor Tim of Grace and Truth Church reads a chapter of scripture from the Bible to seek Jesus in the known and to see Him reveal the unknown. We see the cultural, historical and faith perspectives of the passages and how the Word of GOD is as vibrant and relevant today as when lived so long ago.
Psalm 119 (Qoph): Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm (twice the length of the next longest Psalm) and the longest chapter in the bible. It is composed of 22 sections with each section speaking eight verses. They are composed acrostically, meaning following the Hebrew alphabet. These 22 sections are in no particular order but can be considered as pearls on a necklace. Each is integral to the necklace but a beautiful component by themselves. This entire Psalm is about the Word of GOD and how important scripture is.
Qoph: Verses 145 - 152 is the 19th section of Psalm 119. This section of Psalm 119 is a plea to GOD to hear, to answer, and to save. Why? So that the psalmist may obey all of GOD’s commands and Word. Pretty radical.
