      Yoga Nidra has multiple benefits. Its original purpose was for chitta shuddhi - cleansing the mind. However nowadays it is used to deal with the stresses and strains of daily life or to just give ourselves a break. My teacher says it is almost like a panacea - a cure for many issues
      - The key reason that most people use it for is relaxation of body and mind.
      - It is very popularly used to help one fall asleep.
      - It helps us improve focus and concentration and stay on a task - a process of training the mind to prepare for meditation.
      - it can be used for healing
      - Helps improve creativity (you may know that out of the box ideas sometimes come to us when we are completely relaxed, just before waking up in the morning)
      - It has been researched extensively and YN has been shown to increase alpha waves in the brain which is a more relaxed state
      - Feel grounded
      - Relieving stress and anxiety
      - Recovering from psychosomatic issues like unexplained pains and aches
      - letting go of stored/hidden subconscious memories and images
      - Strengthen our commitment to our goals
      and so many more..

      This audio is a sequence of many techniques, it starts with a full body relaxation (using instant relaxation technique) and moves on to sound awareness - this helps us to start the process of internalising - it is a detached focussing process, no emotions and story telling, which further relaxes us. It is a way to train the mind to stay on task
      Then we move on to rotation of awareness where each and every part of the body is consciously relaxed - this helps us increase our own awareness of the body and also starts the process of self healing where required.
      Lastly we do breath awareness in this audio. This is again a step that helps to train the mind. if we get distracted we come back to the breath.
      Yoga Nidra also has a few more steps which you can learn directly from a teacher or step by step on the Eka Meditation app - but our content is ONLY in Hindi and English right now.

Once you register for the app, you can talk to the teachers through the app for further guidance.
