Nothing like '50 Shades of Silver'! You know those 'exploded' drawings of things? I bet this entire vehicle has been, at one point, completely apart. I just can't imagine the absolute intimate knowledge you have of all the workings of Kona.
I was surprised episode 51 came out so fast. I really enjoyed it. Kona is really taking shape. Now let’s bring on 52

The more I admire this restoration, the more I am convinced that this Bus should NEVER be put on the road.
Imagine what happens if, launched at 40 mph, it hits a mosquito? What a waste, these hundreds of hours of work for nothing? The place of this Bus is in a bubble of nitrogen, mounted on wedges, and sheltered from light...
Vw bus/bug, truly the era we need to bring back. Such beautiful and detailed cars

I very much miss my vw samba 67 de luxe all original.. it is with him that I have understood that the world was in color.. your sponsor PPG has a very good epoxy primer D8595 for the parts exposed to the seaside it is a good protection of the metal.. but hard to sand.. big thank you for sharing it is another small piece of life in color

I used to be a car hauler and delivered some split window buses to a guy in Huntington Beach. He has a lot of em. Then one Fourth of July I watched the parade on tv from there and saw his buses in the parade. It was quite entertaining

There’s enough bondo on the body to build a small shed
Claudio, Am I wrong or must they be installed other way around? Because of the mouning points of the axels. I love all the hard work you put in this bus for them. All the time you spent together, I think it almost most feel like a second family. I watch your show every day, Missed a couple of shows but here I am at nr 51. I can Imagin how much you want KONA to be painted. But your waitning will be rewarded😁. You are the two most wonderfull people I have seen on the internet for a long time. No NOT because your hearing problem but just because of your warm heart. And your beautifull lady is the sunshine in your house. I know sometimes it must be hear to spent 24 hours a day together, with mabey some differences, But you manage to bring the best of you to the surves. Sorry, some words are not correct speled, I know, but I am Dutch and I still yry and learn. You know that Bergsma is a DUTCH name from the NETHERlANDS? blows my mind how much better this bus will be than when it was new. I'm pretty sure the factory didn't put a fraction of the time into fit/finish. These videos are addicting. I can't fathom how many hours ($$$) have gone into this build.

Wonderful to watch you at work. So much love for every detail! When the 'guys' built the original of this car back then at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, they took - I guess - a tenth of the time as you now for this restoration. Keep it up!!! And greetings from Germany, I am older than the car 🙂
