I have a Kenwood TS130S I bought off ebay 2 years ago everything was so packed in there i couldn't even begin to troubleshoot it. I just need to get in there and take the boards out and inspect them but I do have a display just no sound. Thanks for sharing your trouble shooting tips and I subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for sharing. The printed circuit board is from the fragile phenolic. After the repair I would have recapped the print also. There are recap kits offered at eBay. (The TS-130S is from 1982/1983). By the way, replacing the VFO lamp (12 V./50mA) by a LED results in less frequency drift.

Thank you, if there is anything i can help you with please let me know. :-)
I do have one. It is like new. Works very nicely and is a wonder with not programming jamming steps. Does what it is supposed to do in a simple way
Very simple rig. I like it! :-)
I liked your video. Thanks for sharing. I Love my 130SE.
They ARE great radios. i sure enjoy mine. :-)
Very nice radio. Makes me want to tackle my RS Pro-2004 scanner with its powering itself off problem. Seemingly 5 billion solder joints, etc.
No time like the present! ;-)
Hi I just got a TS-130S it powers up but I hear only a loud tone like a calibrator but calibrator is off. Help?
Faulty switch perhaps?
The Dr Of Electronics did it again another successful operation
