Thanks 👍
I purchased a steam cleaner on Amazon and a food grade Degreaser. It works very well. Unplug the unit
All this and finish with a magic eraser! It will be showroom clean! 😂
Ty for explaining everything thoroughly. It definitely helps a lot. Keep up the awesome work 👍
Thanks much!
Thank you very much for the videos. I appreciate your hard work. I just purchased the Ninja and really looking forward to trying some of your recipes.👍
Thank you!!
Great video CJ thanks for the info have a great rest of your week 👍
Cheers brother
I can't believe it snowed, how awesome! Also, love Dawn powerwash, it really helps.
Definitely! Thanks Lisa!
Thanks loved the tutorial also like you say its an outdoor grill made me feel so much better about it not being shine clean inside
Thank you!
Merci pour vos très bons conseils👍
Appreciate this and all the other tips
Thank you
Thanks CJ. Just got my Ninja grill and started using it, so these tips are really useful. Your pool looks amazing by the way. Not something we could have in chilly England 😂
Lol! Thank you! Cheers
It makes sense that just keeping the major buildup at bay is the important thing. Less time cleaning and more time grilling👍😊
Yes ma’am! Thanks Bobbi! ❤️
I used lemon juice to clean the grill , I get the grill a little warm first
Great idea. Thanks!
Sounds like a great idea. Will try this out.
Love my scrub daddy sponges and they have something new scrub daddy on a handle that are able to fit into small spaces, will post a picture when mine arrive
I saw it! Thanks much!
Creosol buildup where I put the pellets recommendations for removing buildup
Gonna clean mine today bought everything you had in the video so hopefully i can take some of the build up off
Right on
What is the interior made of? Is it aluminum? Just wondering if you can use Easy Off Fume Free on it - NOT if it's aluminum accordingly to Easy Off. Love my Ninja and your Tips CJ. Thank you!
REALLY DAMN GOOD EXPLANATION!!! I SO APPRECIATE YOU!!! THANKS
Thank you
Just made my first burger on my new ninja woodfire grill. Really impressed 😊
Right on!
Do you have to use a new aluminum oil pan liner every time you use the grill?
Love your videos CJ. What do you use to clean the griddle? Mine has some gunk stuck on making food stick and I don’t want to scrub it too hard.
I used the scrub daddy sponge on it.
Salute bro 💯
🥃🥃🥃
I am afraid to spray solvent on the heating coils and fan- what if it’s flammable?
After 5 high heat uses I noticed silver spots inside of the lid where the black high heat paint coating was wearing off. But at the 11:14 mark of your video I noticed the inside of your lid is almost completely silver. I now know it’s ok and what to expect going forward.
Looks like a job for the Drill Brush!
Love watching your vids and learned alot of new cooks from it. What is the first brush you used? My woodfire grill apparently didn't come with that, or it was somewhere in the box and I just missed it. I am never sure what I can use to scrub mine that won't ruin it. I mean for the cooking plate surface.
Hey thanks! That black brush came from my indoor Foodi grill. I should have mentioned that.
I don’t have that brush either.
Thanks CJ. Do you find the lid to the wood pellet smoker pellet tray sometimes glues itself to the machine.. any info very appreciated
Yeah it has before. I think the pellets I used had some weird glue in it or something.
Does your wood fire grill get grease all over the place? Mine does. It’s like the grease doesn’t go into the grease pan, it goes everywhere else though
Is that plate sensor button not an electrical part? I would think it is and feel like it would be best not to get that too wet down in there where the actual switch is located.
Thanks for all your videos, you convinced me to purchase this product.
I wonder if you can tell me if you use a brush on the grates or just cloth?
Thanks for any info.
I use a sponge when I clean it. A plaste bristle brush would work too. Nothing too abrasive.
@@CookingWithCJ Thanks I purchased one for the foodie. I think it will do the trick.
Thanks again for your help with the Woodfire grill.
Hello I'm new in your channel, awesome by the way, question? How often do you clean your Ninja Grill smoker?
Hey thanks. I clean the grill plate and the grease catch every time. The inside of the lid, not that often. It’s and outdoor grill that’s gonna get dirty. So you don’t have to stress on the cleaning as much as with the indoor grills.
I appreciate your time and the information given to your fans God bless
Do you guys over the pond get a brush with your WFG. Never got one with mine in the UK
No, I got mine from my indoor gril.
Hey CJ. Great video. After I cleaned with degrease should I run empty to avoid risk of next cool tasting funny??
It couldn’t hurt. Just depends on how well you wipe it out.
I've had mine for a week now and I've noticed that the plastic where the pellets go in has started to melt, is this a thing with them ?? Thanks.. love the videos BTW very helpful 👌🏼
Thanks! I’ve seen it happen with a couple other people too. I’m not sure why, maybe the pellet hopper just got too hot. I’d reach out to ninja and see what they say.
Thank you Cj!
This was so helpful!
My only question is that we just got our grill and we preheated it to try it. We didn’t end up cooking in it after that ..long story..lol. However after the preheat cooled down we went out to see what it looked like on the inside and it looked like it was used for food..much like your cleaning video. It it is brand new and we only tried the pre heat setting ! Should it have looked like that ?
The grime is black and greasy.
Thank you!! Might be the pellet residue or smoke. It’s gonna get dirty like any other bbq. Maybe give it another go and cook something in it. See if it affects anything.
I just cleaned the pellet box which was full of carbon. Soak in Hoppes #9 gun cleaner for 6 hours. scrape with old 1/4" chisel. 99% came off. Recover #9 for future use after filtering with coffee filter. Or us use it on your weapon.
Prevention is aluminum foil lining 3 sides of pellet box which will last 2/3 smokes.
Thanks for sharing!
1:04. Would it have cleaned up in the dishwasher?
Why does smoke mode leave a weird smoke taste on my meats, something is wrong with this thing.I wonder if costco version is defective.
I picked up a silicone insert for my grill drip tray so I don’t have to use the foil insert. Makes sense to me.
Thanks CJ. I am getting a real sticky goopy build up around the pellet box and it just doesn't want to respond to my wire brush or general vinegar and water...also not to a good grill cleaner. I use both Ninja pellets and Weber pellets. The pellet box lid at times just doesn't want to open and I'm afraid I'll break it off forcing it to open to clean it even a little. Any suggestions?
Try bar keepers friend. Soak it in that. Might cut through the sticky stuff.
@@CookingWithCJ I found the culprit to be Lumber Jack/Weber pellets, it seems. I had switched to Weber Apple pellets a month ago and I guess they have more resin, pitch and tar. After cleaning the grill I've used it a few times with absolutely no sticky, goopy residue build up using Ninja/Bear Mountain pellets..
Having the same issue
Merci 🎉
Thank you!!
CJ, get some GP66 from QVC or HSN- that stuff cleans my pellet grill really fast and easier then what your degreaser seems to do on this video.
Agreed, I hav3 GP66 stock piled in my garage!
Was scared degreaser would eat the finish. Thanks sir
Thanks!
Do you do clean the inside hood w degreaser after every cook ?
No I don’t. It’s an outdoor grill, so I don’t stress as much about cleaning as I would the indoor grill.
Great video. Question where did you get the grill grate brush? You said it came with it and my wood fire grill didn't.
That brush comes with some of Ninja's Indoor Grills like the FG551 and the DG551. I guess that was what CJ was referring to.
@@Albertojedi thanks 👍
@@johntoth3881 You are welcome, Sir👍👍
Yeah sorry, it came with my other Foodi grills. Should have specified that.
@@CookingWithCJ no problem thanks
Mr clean magic erasers work very well, just wipe it down after each use, clean n go. For more grease cleaning, use Easy Off degreaser
Thanks for sharing your tip.
Love snow! Hate heat.
Can this ninja be used inside if not using the smoker, grill/air fryer? Thanks
Ninja says it’s an outdoor grill so mine stays outside.
@@CookingWithCJ I bought it anyway, ty
I have a question CJ when I dehydrate like beef jerky do I put it in the basket or write down on the grill?
I’d just throw it on the grill grate
It seems like the fan needs cleaning because if it builds up too much on it then it would affect the fan turning and possibly get stuck.
To get into all the Nooks, and hard to access parts, you could use a Dremel and add on cleaner heads.
Should be sparkling if you want it to be!
Brush included? I bought the pro version and got gypped!! Mine didn’t come with a brush.
Honestly after I shot the video, I relived that the brush came from the indoor foodi grill. Sorry about that.
Hello CJ you did a really good job cleaning the grill it take a lot to clean I love the grill but I don't think I want to buy one it's the cleaning the grill is not for me lol🤣 but good job have a wonderful a beautiful in a God blessed day tell the wifey hello I hope all is well with her knee and I hope it's getting better in the name of Jesus Amen 🙏❤️❤️❤️🤗👍
Thank you! ❤️ Hope you have a great weekend! 🙏🏻
@@CookingWithCJ thank you you too you're so welcome 🤗
C j I use oven cleaner it comes out like new
Right on
How did you wipe it off after cleaning😮
Warm wet wash cloth.
Is it OK to use Powerwash for the inside? I'd rather not purchase a special grill degreaser.
Yeah I like the power wash.
Was deadass gonna look up how to clean it yeaterdaay after my Pork chops were squirting everywhere
Lol! At least they’re juicy
What about a steam clean
I prefer to warm the grill on bake for 30 minutes, and after wiping down with lemon juice and water in a spray bottle. No oven cleaner.
I keep aluminum foil paper in the grease try
When my grill plate gets a little sticky, I let my Pitties give it a cold water wash first.
Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for watching
It's an outside BBQ, so it's quite BS to clean it like that; beside that, it's still going to look ugly (ONLY the top part inside); I'm cleaning mine after every use and it's just fine but not much you can do!
Thanks for watching
👀👀❤️
Hey Miss Lisa! ❤️
Help! I just did my second grilling for a long time and the creosote that formed during to the smoke has the door to the pellet box stuck. I don't want to break it...any thought on how to unstick it?
You could try to wet it down with a wet clothe to get it unstuck. It happened to me and I used a little strength to get it open and didn't break.
Would heating up the Grill on the bake or air fryer function work...maybe a hairdryer on the joint? I live in Minnesota and we left the grill out after the cook in temps around 30 degrees...I think that "tar " froze. We have it inside the house and it will not budge. I used the Kona pellets because it sounded like they would not produce as much Creosote...do you have a favorite low-creasote brand of pellet?
BTW...our roast turned out perfectly...maybe a bit dry, but very flavorful Thanks in advance!
@@dianelord6916 give it a try, it’s not that cold where I live, so I’m not sure how that would work.
Ok I don’t think I got the brush… or I may have thrown it away with the box😅
Darn lol
Lol, sorry about that
If you want it clean, use oven cleaner.
A Money saver and cleaning saver!
For Flat Top Grilling, don't buy the Ninja Flat Tray. Its a waste of money!
Get an Oven Liner or Silcone Bake sheet for about €3, and then makes mega Flat Top Burgers. If super adventurous you could try and make Pancakes!!
For cleanup; its a wipe and go, 5 Seconds, then reuse, you should get 3 or 400 Re-uses.
It’s too hard to clean I want a bbq the easiest too clean
i can Tell ya, take the good Old WD40, to take a good cleaning :D
Right on! Thanks for the tip
Why would anyone let it get that filthy before cleaning?
I was going to buy one of these things as a back up but too much cleaning. No thank you.
