He’s a credit to the sport, very humble and a very likeable guy. His judgement of distance between him and his opponents is the best in boxing his footwork going in and out is very quick. He doesn’t get hit much takes a lot of punches on his gloves. He knows Alvarez will go to his body and will be prepared, he needs to go to Alvarez’s body as well give him a taste of his own medicine. He’s an excellent boxer and has great stamina, he will beat Alvarez clearly BUT unfortunately there is no chance he gets the winning decision. The fight has already been decided Alvarez is the money man, if he loses everyone involved with him loses there is big money at stake.

If Bivol is as proficient on back foot as front he’s got this and maybe easier than anyone thinks, big fan of Canelo but his methodical style he used vs Saunders plant and an old kovalev will not work vs a hungry dynamic box/fighter like bivol, and should he try the more proactive gameplan he’ll get lit up.
Yes his head movement is very good but this the fastest he’s faced.

Based off numbers Bivol is the best pure boxer in the sport. Second best defense , second best jab best hit/not get hit ratio in the sport.

Im glad someone else is finally saying this, too many people are over looking Bivol in the fight this could easily go sideways for canelo and his fan boys, I love watching canelo fight but he is not the perfect fighter people make him out to be, he struggled against kovalev and he struggled against plant and fair enough he knocked them both out late but i dont see Bivol fading and I dont see canelo dominating at any point Bivol is too smart and too slick and hes at this level for a reason. People also dont realise Bivol has seriously heavy hands and I dont rate canelos power as much as everyone else does all that loading up and screaming out of him, Bivol will see it a mile away, he was much more effective at lower weight classes when he was using his explosiveness and his accuracy whereas now hes trying to power through everyones guard and has struggled in doing so. Its his accuracy which gets him kos

I really like Bivol in this fight. That hard jab will get it done no matter how well Canelo can counter or attack the body. That jab makes other fighters think too much, and even Canelo will become aware of the jab. A bigger guy with a strong jab = tough night out for any fighter.
The thing is Canelo isn’t just any fighter. Gonna be an interesting match for sure.
I think you are on to something real here. Simple is best and the jab is the bread and butter punch. A good jab is a fighter's greatest asset. Bivol's sense of distance and fleet footwork compliment his jab wonderfully. Many big fights have been won just off a well timed, well placed repeated jab jab jab. It wears em down and disorients them in the long haul and even the great Canelo may not be immune.
