Solo Winter Hammock Camping

- Up here in Eastern Ontario we have had a pretty mild winter so far. It is now January and most of the snow has melted. With no new snow on the way, I decided to get out and do a little winter camping anyways. It was great to get out into the great outdoors again but I did miss the fluffy white stuff. I travelled to an area that I scouted out in the fall but I had a difficult time picking a good spot to camp. Fortunately I was able to find a spot where I could hang my hammock to do some winter hammock camping.
Thanks for watching, I always appreciate it.

I had cabin fever for a bit as I waited patiently for all the fluffy white snow to fall but I finally decided to get out anyways! No Snow No Problem!

Is he in his 50s? Wow that's awesome.
Ha that made me laugh. I'll be 50 in three months. I keep forgetting how old I'm getting but my kids like to remind me. Thanks for the kind words.
Close!
Thanks for taking us along.

Great to see you back out there. Sorry for the no snow I do love seeing all that beautiful powder. Your stove looked good and glad you were able to stay warm in the hammock. Thanks Dave.
Thanks Kelly. It was good to get out. I could not wait to camp again. We actually have snow now! The stove worked really well in those conditions.

I'm about your same age and like solo camping. Your videos are really well done. Keep up the good work.
I (a 50-something winter hammock camping aficionado who also adds too much water to his oatmeal 😂) absolutely loved this video! Great stuff!
Keep up the good work.
Great to see you back again. Happy new year from the UK 😊
Thank you and happy new year to you.
Ha I love it. Winter camping without the snow! Sorry to hear you guys don't have any snow yet but good for you for getting out anyways.
Thanks. It was a good trip. I wish we had snow. We did get some snow but I wasn't able to get out! Sadly the snow is now pretty much gone!
Nice! He’s back. This winter no snow in Edmonton and it’s January. Boo
Wow, no snow in Edmonton! What is going on! I love Edmonton by the way!
Great camp-out...nice video! I'm itching to get out there and do a little cold weather camping myself. Thanks for sharing your adventure! 😊

Cool video
Awesome to see you back my man! Great video as always. Sorry about the lack of snow, what is up with that. Have you thought of upgrading your hammock setup?
Thank you Shane. We have snow now, so I am planning my next trip. I really do need to upgrade my setup. It's been working for me but I want to try something with a more flat setup. Thanks for watching.
Great video. You had a good trip. I'm liking that stove. what brand is it? See you on your next adventure, Have a great week!
Thanks Dennis. I believe the stove is from RedCamp. It's from Amazon. I tried to find a similar one locally but no luck.
Great trip David!! I've always wanted to try a hammock, I guess a mild winter is a perfect time to do it since I don't have one with a built in bug net!
What kind of underquilt were you using? looks relatively compact. Also is some of that footage from the dji pocket 3?? 😍(Great compositions)
Thanks Derek, I didn't think I would like hammock camping but I actually enjoy it. The underquilt that I have is a cheap one from Amazon. It has worked really well.
Thanks for the "Stupid video", It was awesome!!
Thanks I try to stay consistent in the "Stupid Video" department!
