I really like what you're doing. We need to spread the word about exchanges. Only the problem is in my country specifically on forums it's hard to talk to people about exchanges since people are so focussed on traditional bookmakers. Almost nobody seems to be interested in exchanges. It's so frustrating because they get mad when they're restricted or have bad value. It's not as popular as in the UK. I always explain the benefits of exchanges compared to bookmakers.
Thanks. I think its important to share the ins and outs of how betting odds work for the broader audience. So many don't even realise, yet have a wager every week. Makes no sense whatsoever... lets get the word for exchanges out!
My dad was an old school penciled you know he recorded and worked out the odds but also had to adjust odds in relation to bets. What you to amaze me is when there was a rush of punters 20+ people all wanting to bet at the same time and he would accurately work it all out including recording the bets. Try it in real time I believe 9 out of 10 people would get it wrong . It really is an amazing skill. I can do it with adequate time but in practice there is no way. Hence I had a lot of respect for my dad!!!
Good video Caan. I use a 2 horse race analogy instead of football win/draw/win. If 2 identical horses run a race, they have the same chance of winning, same as a coin toss, so each should be even money or 1/1 or 2.0 However the bookies will price them both at 5/6 or 10/11. In both cases you can't make a profit, you put 100 on each and get back either 183 or 191 regardless of who wins, the remaining 17 or 9 quid missing is the bookies profit margin on the race. The most recent 2 horse race in the UK had a 1/25 favourite at SP, do you think the other one was 25/1 for a 100% book?? B0llox it was, it was only 14/1, works out at 2.7% in the bookies favour. If I could make 2.7% on a coin toss every time regardless of result, I'd swap 8 fingers for coin flicking thumbs!
Thank you for sharing this info dude, I am looking to start my career in sports betting and I will be using your all strategies. let's see what happens!
Can someone explain what he is trying to say from 3:08 till the end. Until 3:08 I catch and understand all but after I lost him. Can't understand what he is trying to say. Thanks.
I'm with you on this one... he lost me completely after 3.08 and the cash out or whatever and downhill till the end. And no one replied your comment to explain more...
you lost me at the 4:00 mark. why would the true price change for the same overall bet? how'd you calculate the 14.29# profit, then change it to 3.75 with a 6.67# cash out offer? any clarification would be great. thanks!
Because bookies dont offer cash out at "true market value" they are adding their margin to the odds twice. The true price never changed, just the offered price.
Sure. Stake = 100 Total return = 400 because 100 * 4.0 = 400 Cashout price = 3.5 400 / 3.5 = 114.29 114.29 minus your original stake of 100 leaves you 14.29.
Caan what is your opinion on betting on football matches that AREN'T covered by any betting exchanges, only by a bookmaker? For example, sometimes I see matches that are offered by the Betfair sportsbook but NOT by their exchange. Should these matches be avoided?
Bookie chooses their price, controlling the margin. The exchange price is set by supply and demand between the general public. The end result being, nearly every time you will get a bigger price on an exchange.
can someone explain to me the difference between payout and cashout and the double commission applied, I am not sure I get why the double commission is happening...
Cashout is the feature used when you sell your bet back to the provider. With a bookie they will slap another ridiculous margin on it, with an exchange you pay the market value. So with a bookie its effectively double commission, once on the way in, once on the way out. Exchange, you pay on your net win only and get market value both times, not a price they made up.
Every video, Alex. Do you not have anything better to do? You're a super-fan, so thanks for that! Done more than my bit already thanks. Hope you do the same, instead of consistently leaving derogatory comments.
Am in Malawi.. betfair is not available for us, only the bookmakers the likes of bet 365 BETWAY premier bet and worldstar betting Malawi. I prefer betting the over 1.5 goals market during live games for consistent winning. I agree the cash out system is just wack man..

Yes that works too! haha, wouldnt we all, its a huge margin when you look at the amount of events its scaled on.
I didn’t understand
Love your videos mate
Cheers. We do try, wether its explaining how betting odds work or exposing how tipsters work. Its all useful to the public.
The 100% is not the overound. Its the bit that's over the 100% that is the overound
There's always one isn't there...
Freaking love this, why go into something if you have no idea about it?!
Thank you for sharing this info dude, I am looking to start my career in sports betting and I will be using your all strategies. let's see what happens!

Ditto for me. He might as well been speaking another language
Well explained.Thank you
You are welcome.
3:48 shouldn't the 2% be £9?

@@CaanBerryProTrader can you explain how you got the 14.29#?
Sure. Stake = 100
Total return = 400 because 100 * 4.0 = 400
Cashout price = 3.5
400 / 3.5 = 114.29
114.29 minus your original stake of 100 leaves you 14.29.

Great video mate! Very interested in trading, and so many good videos on your channel :)
Thanks, we do try.
I thought this was a video explaining betting odds not an advertisement for a betting platform...
It is, there's no advert mate, just maths.
THANK YOU!
No problem, my pleasure.
Hi, need some help, where can I line shop to get the best odds for international bookies.
What’s the difference between a bookie price and a exchange price?
Bookie chooses their price, controlling the margin. The exchange price is set by supply and demand between the general public. The end result being, nearly every time you will get a bigger price on an exchange.
Caan Berry Pro Trader Thank you man! Love your videos, keep it up!
How then can we win a sure multibet
Thanks Cann, your the man !! Hope your well buddy, stay safe
Thanks 👍 I'm all good.
how did you come up with cash-out price? between 4.0 and 3.5 ? how do you figure that out?
decimal odds include the stake

I am grateful, before I arrived here I was like Jon Snow.
Waiting for winter? haha
Hi I have a question... let’s say I put £10 that Spurs is going to win against Burnley and they do, how much will I get back?
That would depend on the price at the time.
oh so this video is an ad
I still don't understand it. It's not clear and slow
Is 5/4 greater than 2.0
Yes. 2.0 is equal to 1 / 1
Its between 5-10%
?
No, read this: caanberry.com/new-betfair-rewards/
is it about prediction or maths guys help me
Maths, always.
Still don’t get it
How is 4/5 55%… that’d be 80%
Jason Statham explains
Haha or Jonny Sins as others have said.
Well that's a waste of time just pushing an app.
7 isn’t 2% of 450 lol it’s 9
It's 2% of WINNINGS (350). 450 minus initial stake of 100 is 350, of which 2% is 7. lol
I dont understand
Im not sure I can simplify it much more. Maybe rewatch?
Chelsea to win 4.5 😂😂😂😂
