For people like these reactors I’m assuming know nothing about “Journey to the west” Classic Chinese story, it looks like a phenomenal game but if you have no knowledge prior I would suggest reading up on it and then play the game but most people won’t do that and it’s a little irritating people talking when they don’t know anything about that subject.

@@areaofeffect100 Because He Plays An Important Role to Chinese mythology. He may be evil, But he at least had a purpose. Even if it meant he's evil. Everything And Everyone Has A Role. But overall, the Monkey King's previously destructive energies are turned to good in protecting his new master on his pilgrimage. He makes mistakes along the way. With firm but sympathetic guidance, however, he is good in the end - supremely so, to the point of achieving Buddhahood. Pls do research sometimes ok? Good.
Also for the one who made this comment, After the monk impresses the gods with his lecture on the Lotus Sutra, Monkey is given a golden monk's staff (among other items) as a magical weapon against the evils they will face on their journey to India. ... A weapon that predates the Compliant Rod from the Ming version is mentioned in passing early on in the tale.
So yeah the staff didn't come from his fur, It was given to him.
