Alex, just because it has a designer brand name does not mean it is attractive or worth what they want to charge for it. Give up the Chanel, it is fug. Just because you think it is a designer, does not mean it is. Pick things because they make you feel good, look great, and are made well, not for name.

I'm not ~*fashion*~, so there are admittedly things I don't understand, but it's just confusing when the only defense in keeping something is "it's designer". It doesn't make sense to me, especially if it's not a signature style or something
@Forgetmenot yes shes said she does struggle styling clothes in the past. i really think she should try the 'finding her color pallette' thing and hopefully that will help her make those decisions easier than buying for the sake of the brand or getting a 'good deal' at the thrift store on stuff she wont ever wear.
here's the thing about buying something for the resale value: you have to ACTUALLY RESELL IT to get that value back. It's one thing if there's a genuine piece or two you love to wear, but for the rest, you need to pass it along to receive the experience you wanted from it in the first place.

I think it might be a really good idea to start dividing up your clothes into "what you're keeping cuz it's fashion that you like to collect (eg things youve worn to fashion week/support a designer)" and "this is my actual wardrobe (the day to day pieces)". As a fashion lover myself, there are so many gorgeous pieces in here that I can understand you want to keep and admire but dont get much wear out of. From what im seeing over the past few videos you come across as a passionate fashion collector. You could even set up a space to showcase some of your favourite things from the collection category? Could be really cool!!
I agree. Just dedicate more storage to clothes at this point, especially since it doesn't seem like the motivation to let go of clothes is financial.
There are so many things that Alex doesn't want to part with, despite it being in the let go pile throughout the episodes, and at this point I genuinely believe has personal reasons to keep it and they're valid to Alex.
A lot of the items are very unique and would be so fun to wear in a fashion-forward place and time (the heart jacket and heart pants). A lot of the items they are considering to remove are also good quality or some of Alex's favorite labels too - to them it's just a black dress, but to Alex it's from House of CB, a brand she did a UA-cam video on and she loved the dresses so much, I was convinced I needed to get stuff from there. All of the designer ones are also sentimental - a proof for Alex that she has come so far. If I remember correctly, she was very emotional and happy about getting Chanel earrings and a Chanel top in one of her videos. Just keep the Chanel dress until she's really ready.
Totally relate to Grace putting the clothes on as she goes, exactly how my clearouts go 😂 expect Grace is more ruthless than me 🙈💕
There should be a finale where pastel styles all of the outfits on the chopping block and the. The friends can yay or nay them. A few of these seem like they are weird but would look amazing styled!

Why is the designer the first justification of why something should be kept. A designer name does not equate to stylish or good.
I don't get why all of the friends dislike the fancy lilac dress so much I love that one. I have so much more issues with generic black dress but keeping it because Brand.

The theme of every episode of these, just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it’s worth keeping, wearing or purchasing

honestly i don't understand why people buy clothes then never wear them, if my friends were putting things i don't wear up each time i think that's a sign to get rid of it rather then keeping it because you can always add a piece you'll actually wear instead of it rotting away in your closet.
This is just a suggestion, but after this series if you want to continue to purge more of your closet you should do things by category. For example look and compare all your dresses, all your tops, or all your coats etc. I feel like it's a lot easier to compare by category, because you can look and see if you have too many of a certain style of dress. Like how it was mentioned somewhere in this video that you don't need another black dresses and you can only choose to stay with only a few of the ones you know you would wear. When you're looking at everything all jumbled together it's a bit harder to know what exactly you should keep or get rid of (at least imo). I myself have been trying to slowly get rid of things that ik I haven't worn, don't need, doesn't fit me anymore, or I just have a version of it that I like better and wear more. I have a hard time getting rid of things as well tho, so finding different ways to convince myself to get rid of something I don't need makes the process easier lol.

Girl just because it's designer doesn't mean it's worth keeping or even looks good LOL some of those designer pieces look like I could pick them up from Jay Jays. I would love to see you do a try on of the clothes that got picked out that you want to keep, to make a case for keeping it and see if you yourself want to actually wear it.
Get rid of the chanel piece, sell it, and use the money to buy a chanel piece you'll wear.
And the chanel tshirt. Get a more wearable one.
I actually really love the melodramatic dress, but you do have to question when and where you'd wear it and if you'd actually get use out of it. If its just gonna hang in your wardrobe then someone else should be able to love it as much as you have

Probably because of the brand deal with Hello Fresh, as a content creator you sign x amount of videos and schedule them, also the brand deal is with specific accounts, not the person (because analytics and audiences) so I doubt that they could move the brand deals to PPSQ

Yeah, I would have honestly gotten rid of most of the pulled stuff, but I really only like neutrals and classic pieces, not so much into trendy and colorful. 🤷🏻♀️

Hi Alex, I know getting rid of expensive clothes is hard but you might sell them so you can have more money that can go towards your down payment on the new house! Or you can give yourself a very good reason to sell those clothes to buy yourself something nice. Maybe the RAV4 that Dan and you always dreamed of? I'm sure all those designer clothes could cover a fair amount of that price :)

something that really helps me declutter is going to a few online stores until i find something that i absolutely love and then comparing to the pieces im thinking to get rid of and if i would swich the new one for the ones i have then i get rid of it, now i dont buy the item i love but is just a way to realize that there are items i like more so maybe i shouldnt hold on to those pieces , hope it helps, anyway, love your videos and the friendships you have 💕
