Deke Dickerson, you sir are an amazing waking, talking Encylopedia of American Music. Hearing the stories from Jerry Case is fantastic. Thank you, Deke for all that you do. I am a 76-year-old retired bass player. I worked from 1961 to 2022.
I enjoyed that very much ! Thank you Deke for bringing Jerry to our attention. Between you and Chris Scruggs, I've learned so much about great musicians of my younger years, and never knew who they were. Country & Country Western
Met you at Willie’s Guitar in St. Paul in August a few years ago. I didn’t know your credentials but on YT I’ve learned a lot. You are an awesome musician and like Marty Stuart, you are documenting great musicians.
Wow, amazing he backed Joe Carson and knew the Wynn Stewart band... and backed Willie Nelson back in the day!? So cool... and I didn't even get to the Bob Wills days. Now I'm listening to you and Jerry slay on one of my Western swing favorites -- "Roly Poly!" Thank you, Deke!
Deke, what about Johnny Bond? What can you tell us about him thats not in an internet search. Possible subject for your type of content? Sincerely, A Johnny Bond fan
My old stomping grounds coming up in the business living in and around Lawton Okla, and Wichita Falls Texas. Sam Gibbs was my first booking agent. He booked me all over the midwest in the 70's. Great times both rough and ready!
The funny thing about guys like you is when you make mean-spirited comments about something as joyous as this video, all you do is expose how small you are and how jealous you are of people living their best life. Everybody sees it. So sorry buddy, I've got a fun life to live....smell you later
I doubt very much that you remember me when your overblown personality was blowing thru town. That's OK. God bless And by the way you have always been crabby! Lighten up!@@DekeDickerson
@@richardaengberg I put together this video to honor my friend Jerry, and you shit all over it. "God Bless" you too. I don't come to your job and tip over the Slurpee machine.
