A place I have never heard of before but you picked a great day for it mind. No don't know Kevin Stark but once I get caught up, I will have a butchers. Plenty of mud and peat about but some great views as well. Cheers Alan
Great video , nice rock formations , I know what you mean about finding a path after wandering round the peat moors off the main track , I often wonder what Ive got myself into 😆 as it can so easily become a maze of unfriendly difficult terrain , and then the relief when you reach a proper track again , best wishes pal 🙂🙂.
That pathway into the little gully was interesting. It's the start of another Grand Canyon. Give it a few thousand years and maybe😁 Beautiful walk out there today😁 Keep going while the weather is good🌞
What an absolute gem of a walk!! All boxes ticked on that one. Even an added adventure of off-pathing! Loved it, and I certainly enjoyed it! Have a good week ahead! 😊
What incredible opening shots, lovely fresh late summer, early autumn views. Hello from two miles in! Ah lovely intact sheep fold, id like to think that could be used again. Sheep Fold number 1 done. Cracking picnic spot. So much free space in South Yorkshire! Nice exposed trig with intact flush bracket. Wonderful rock formations, amazing you had them to yourself. Nice bit of crevice bobbing. Well done on getting Noel’s song choice in! Number 62 is a beauty. Cracking views getting back too, Steven was enjoying it! 😂
Thanks folks..a cracking day for sure, really enjoyed it..Noels wife has picked the song for tomorrows walk...i have no idea how to get Brim full of Asher into a video, but i am sure there is a way...cheers folks.
Diddling away my friend thank you very much 😊 They slides at the start were stunning 😍 The weather was just about perfect I'd say if a little windy up top! What a wonderful way to spend my Sunday afternoon ❤
Great video of your adventures. Only been to Crow Stones Edge from the Upper Derwent Valley. The rocks are much more impressive than I expected and the views, as you said, are tremendous. Thanks for the video and see you next tile.
We like a good bog bash steve. I have to say I enjoyed that gruff as you called it. It felt like the wildest part of the walk. And hey not far beyond that was a dipper. Awesome views along the way. A thumbs up to the self - I like it. All the best. Mark
cracking hike mate great weather made that moor crossing a bit better lol i think i,ll have to start going to some of these rock formations . one more ticked off 👍👍👍
Got another one done ste nice ups and downs in the ditches on the way back just to keep you on your toes cracking little bridge crossing there these hikes always look so remote and peaceful mate brilliant for solo walking hood show around marra
I’d get distracted and forget to do an intro too with those beautiful shots at the start! What a great start 😁😁 it’s fun to take different routes up. What a lovely day for it fantastic views and all to yourself too. The Peak District always seems to have the best rock formations 😊 great hike
I’ve finished watching. I really enjoyed that. Great weather in the morning yesterday. I was talking back to you when you said Harden Clough - telling you “no that’s far cat Clough” 😂 😂 I love walking along the Little Don and I love Crow Stone Edge but I hate the outer edge path. It doesn’t matter how dry it’s been it’s always a bog fest. One time I got fed up with trying to go around each bog every few meters and just decided to tentatively walk through the bogs (it had been relatively dry). It went well to start with so I got bolder. Next thing I knew I was in a bog up to my waist! One of the scariest experiences I’ve had out walking! No one around and nothing for me to grab hold off. Obviously I managed to get out but it shook me up a bit. Anyway great walk / video. And thanks again for the shout out 😀👍
Wow...up to the waist, that's scary when on your own...don't know how i got Harden clough mixed up with Far Cat clough, i suppose it was going up instead of down..oh well, never mind.
Those rock formations were well worth the hike up there, Stephen. I'd love to get up there with the camera. Great stuff. Looking forward to seeing what song you crowbar in next time 😂.
I haven’t finished watching but had to pause to comment! I couldn’t believe it when you mentioned me. Thanks so much for the shout out. Very appreciated . Anyway I’ll unpause and continue watching 😀😀😀🙏🙏🙏
Nice start to your film. Always nice to find places not often populated in Peaks. Great moorlands and landscape. You picked a lovely day for your walk and filming and photography Steve. Hope enjoyed that coffee.
This walk was interesting Steven..the rocks are just amazing.. l bet Caren was glad she didn’t join you on this one …especially with those dips ..but the scenery is just stunning …really enjoyed yet another peak 75..can’t wait till the next one…oh by the way I thought you were going to give us a song 😂cheers guys as usual 😊
Brilliant! That's the area which was just too far for me the last time I was on top around there. Margery Hill was my target but I did manage to include Outer Edge trig. I didn't think of using the Cat Clough routes - they seem ideal. The map doesn't show much of a path up from the lower woodland, along the Little Don, to where you stopped at the sheep fold but I assume there was a path of sorts. Dammed hard work through the rough ground at the top for sure. And well done with he 1k+ subs, not sure I commented before about that significant achievement :) Cheers, Warren
Hi Warren...yeah the Cat clough route was so easy, also quite a good path alongside the little Don...i will not make the mistake of crossing that moorland again, it was like a rollercoaster, some of those Groughs can be quite deep...cheers mate.
Great vid steven Outer edge multiple times, you must be bonkers, danny and myself did it in @r$e end of winter, and vowed never again 😂, it was just a massive swamp, rock formations are awesome though
Crow stone edge is Amazing...It makes me laugh cos we have a short road in Buxton called Crowstones, at the top its spelt Crowstones but at the bottom its called Crowestones with an extra E...useless piece of information...I bet there are hundreds of Sheep dip pen fold's in the Peak District and what a great idea to go out and discover and rediscover them...Might be a retirement project for me thanks Steven...mind you I am still intending to discover some more unfound stone circles which was a project I started in the 80's and raising a large family and working long hours stopped that...Um Bop...got to say I have not heard that one...really annoying me theses songs...got listening intently to what your saying and thought you were going to say I just don't know what to do with myself by Dusty when you got stuck in those troughs...Another Peak 75 sorted...13 to go and hope they are lucky for you...Great vid...Cheers Les.🙂👍
Thanks Les...yeah i guess there must be hundreds of sheepfolds in the PD...i reckon every valley must have a couple..can't believe you have never heard of Mmm Bop..i am sure if you heard it you would know it...yeah only 13 to go, might get them finished this year after all..cheers Steven
@@atrampinthehills.841 Good Luck Steven... hopefully before the bad weather kicks in cos it will be very boggy if you have more Dark Peak on your list👍

Cheers pal...pretty much a perfect day

Hello John, lovely to hear from you...yeah some of those moors can be a nightmare to cross...oh well , you live and learn
