I have binders full of these, plus multiple sets....but the PSA grading fees make getting them graded very risky. If it doesnt get a 10...youre likely losing money.
I love this set of cards it was one of the Staples of my childhood collecting I remember buying pack after pack after pack of this!! I didn't keep many of my childhood cards thanks to a mother that is a clean freak but I did find two boxes at a flea market still in the original packaging I bought them for $50 someday I might open them just as a trip down memory lane. I do love these videos and I'm always a fan of you're up to date pricing have a great weekend
Ouch! "A rare Ewing card because he was not getting dunked on by Jordan!" LOL. What did you say at 3:48? Larry Bird and a PSA 9 of this D. Reynolds? What? LOL. Very cool Bulls team card! Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend!
Hahaha. It was to hard to not reference Ewing not getting dunked on lol I just responded to David with T&D sports cards: D. Reynolds is a reference to the show it's always sunny in Philadelphia. They always make fun of her calling her birdman and that she's built like Larry Bird. I first referenced the joke in the 1990 Fleer basketball set but since no one got the reference I'm giving up 😂😂😂
I was always on the fence about this set. I couldn’t really make up my mind on loving it or thinking it was kind of gaudy. It definitely screams early 90s!!! Nonetheless, I have loads of these plus a couple of unopened boxes. Poor Patrick!!! Always looking up at MJ. Ok, so was that a little nugget or hidden prize you threw in with D. Reynolds??? 🤣. I really enjoy your videos, Steve. Thank you for sharing 😁

@@tenclubcards sorry, I must’ve missed it during your Fleer video. That was a pretty funny show, i only saw a few episodes though. I hope at least one person comment picks up on it 😆
I just cracked open and tire box with the original wrapping on it. Man, a lot of the cards had chipping on them! Got the bulls checklist. Two base Jordans, Gary, Payton and a bunch of other ones. But man it's going to be hard to get PSA 10s out of the next one I'm opening
I've had a pack fir about 10 years now.. got it from a teacher back in 6th grade. Should I open the pack and look at the cards or keep the package unopened?
Very nice. I have a few boxes I need to rip on channel sometime in the future. I'll keep you in mind if I pull either of those. Thanks for watching and hope you had a great weekend man!
I agree. I like the set but 1991 was my favorite for SkyBox. The white backgrounds and borders look much better from that set. Thanks for watching Alex!
As far as rating, I'm guessing you're referring to grading? If so, there is a handful of companies with PSA, Beckett and SGC being the 3 big companies that have been around for decades. To answer your 2nd question: If ungraded, I recommend a flea market or facebook market place. None of these cards hold much value ungraded, so you won't have much online like eBay. Hope this helps and thank you for stopping by Copper!
Can you imagine being the guy that paid the highest price for all of these cards back in February and now they are worth significantly less?? I'm really happy to say that I've never bought anything in the hype zone and paid way too much money for it..
@@tenclubcards it's exactly why I don't buy the hype, although, I really do think that there's a conspiracy here and when the Michael Jordan sold for $738,000 a piece, that was the new floor... It's the string pullers that decided they didn't want to spend that much money on cards that dropped the value on everything really quickly, but everything up and now they're either sitting on it or selling it at top dollar. I told you that was going to happen when it first started happening and now it's starting to happen.. but I'm a "crazy conspiracy theorist", right??
This was my first and biggest year collecting basketball cards. I used almost every dollar I could get to buy another pack, and (in Michigan) rode my bike around town collecting pop cans for their 10 cent deposits to buy more. I probably collected about 75% of this series on my own, but then at the end of the year bought a pre-packaged complete box set of the whole series too. I still have that boxed complete set, with every card untouched. Crazy that some could be worth money. I thought they were all basically worthless, unlike some really old baseball cards.
Jesus, I had all of those cards back in the day. I have no idea what happened to them. At that time, I thought they looked kind of cheap and we’re going to be worthless.
So basically, if you get a PSA 10 on these from raw cards, you can make some money $$$. Otherwise if you aren't guaranteed a 10, then not worth grading.
😂 Man, your the first person to actually get this reference (Or at least comment) I even switch Dee's picture out on Larry Bird's card on the 1990 Fleer basketball set video and I don't think anyone got it. That makes my day bahahaha 👍
@@eddiez1247 I appreciate all the feedback! That's definitely a few sets I need to cover in the future. I need to start research for videos for late November/ early December soon. These cards are awesome man
I have the entire album with all those cards, the teams and the coaches and the drafts. What could they be worth?

I have a couple questions 1. I have a Jordan where do I go to get a rating? 2. Where do you go to sell these cards?

So how much money could I get if I had a whole box of 1990 1991 season series 2 Skybox the whole box 36 packs 15 cards per pack unopened box
I just bought one at a flea market for $10 unopened but I think they are worth around $50.

I recently moved and when I was packing up I found 2 more unopened boxes that I forgot I had 😂 I appreciate the offer, Derek
I have them ungraded and another whole box of skybox cards to open.
