Im always admiring renovating people for their determination. If i would be doing - i would for sure quit in the middle.Simply because for a long time it felt like the chaos will never end😅😅
Love the skylight, always prefer natural light where possible. And a big yes to the big tile. Love all the LED lights so there aren't any dark spots. Great addition video.
Laying floor tiles with all the furniture in the way is no easy task, hats off too you ! One day though you will regret fitting all those spot lights .
This is great. A lot of time and hard work was put into this project. Very beautiful end result, congrats! I hope you are making good use of your new kitchen lol
Hi I’m looking to get a extension kitchen renovation can you please recommend the builders who did your fantastic job and please do a video of your kitchen tour would love to watch
I bet there's a race for the TV remove control to switch the volume up when any of the appliances are on, or when someone switches the kettle on. Open plan living is a popular choice, but doesn't work for me as I find it noisy and echo's like an airport lounge. But we're all different eh? that's what makes the world go round. Nice build though, and good kitchen lay out.
The island as a dining table feels mean compared to the size of the kitchen. There are some beautiful large dining tables that would do that space more justice. If you want a kitchen island as more workspace it has to be built with that function in mind. That said, it is a lovely kitchen.
Many thanks for the comment. The Island does in fact double up as kitchen workspace when needed. The worktops have been changed since this video. We didn’t want to completely use the whole space as kitchen or lounge but adjust when required. Ie entertaining. But it is working for us.
Ha ha many thanks for the comment. The lights are LED and dimmable. They are on individual circuits and also controlled by home automation so it is very rare for all of the lights to be on together at any one time.
excellent build & kitchen, we are planning such a build this year, how long was it until you got to a water tight stage of the build, i guess the RSJ's were used because of the width..
This was a project I carried out my self so it took slightly longer than a normal build. I think it was about 2 or 3 weeks before being watertight but we had other delays in hand to deal with too like we found a gas main running through the house that needed to be diverted around the outside and we had to replace the main sewer pipes that we hadn’t accounted for. Good luck with the build I’m sure you will be pleased.
We did so much like putting in underfloor heating and plenty of extras. It was also during lockdown so we had time on our hands. At the time it was about 35k
Great video! I enjoyed watching. We are embarking on something similar later this year. Approx how big was the old space and how far did you extend out? Best
Hi Thanks for the question. The original space was 4m x 5.5m and we extended it another 4.5m x 5.5m. Good luck with your project its well worth it. And out of all the things we have done, the underfloor heating is a god send. Well worth the money.
its just unbelievable how much work there is with a job like this
It was a long project. Many thanks
Damn ! That was no “extension” , that was full blown archeological exploration. THE most thorough job I’ve seen on here over the years. Enjoy.
Many thanks for your comment.
I am not a professional, but this was well made👍👍👍
I enjoyed this, thanks for taking the time to record it, cheers.
Many thanks.

It was pain staking but worth it in the end
I love the lights underneath the cabinets. This whole kitchen is beautiful.
Many thanks
Makes me wanna steal meat in the pot in this beautiful kitchen !!!
Agreed. stealing the backlight idea
U can buy the LED strip lights on eBay to go under your cabinets all u need is somewhere to plug it on
Agreed but these are led dimmable neon strips.
Fantastic vid and workmanship guys 👍
Always amazes me that the more you put in a room the bigger it looks.
Many thanks for your comment
Love the skylight, always prefer natural light where possible. And a big yes to the big tile. Love all the LED lights so there aren't any dark spots. Great addition video.
Many thanks for your comment
That's incredible. Looks wonderful. You guys worked your butts off and the end result, AMAZING!!!!!
Many thanks
Congratulations, you have created a magnificent kitchen.
Many thanks
Great kitchen extension well done guys! From Austin, TX.
Many Thanks
Laying floor tiles with all the furniture in the way is no easy task, hats off too you ! One day though you will regret fitting all those spot lights .
During lockdown too. Lights are dimmable and in different sections so no regrets so far. Also connected via home automation.
Thats personal, but I understand, I would have done it with 25 % of the lights used here
Beautiful, amazing, fantastic, A dream, you are so clever, you all deserve a medal of Achievement 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Many thanks

Can I ask what was the company name or contact, who completed this great job. Thank you
Well, they replied to someone two months after your comment, so I would assume no.
I'm super interested to know was well..
I clearly missed the question come through sorry. It was a DIY job with a help from some friends.
What do you think about the new kitchen of your house do you like it or not
Yes absolutely. We have been in it a couple of years now and it works well for us.
Fantastic the money the time the money the time I know this project was tedious and have to have patience and money and time and money 🙏
It was tedious and stressful, but well worth it after.. I was able to do things the way we wanted them too.. Many thanks for the comment.
Good job
Many thanks
That one recessed light that is out of line with the rest of the row (10.31) would drive me insane!!!
It isn’t out of line camera angle I think but designed to follow the floor around the island breakfast bar. I see your point though.
Very nice
Many thanks
Beautiful room. Well done for recording it all.
Many thanks

It isn’t took bad to be fair but I understand what you mean. Great comment many thanks.
Nice touch ...!
Many thanks
Congratulations on an amazing job and an amazing video, mind me asking how long and how much
And how much value added to the property after?
£40,000 £50,000, 6 weeks maybe, it's great work. Defo not cowboy
Thanks Tom, price is about right but as I did a lot of it myself it took a little longer than 6 weeks.......
@@robsands111 12 weeks maybe then?
Nice job. 👍🏻
Many thanks

Lovely extension. Great work!

Dam!!! Even fixed the washer while your at it!!😄
Well spotted. Thanks for the comment..👍
Did the family need to move out of the house during the remodel?
Is it worth the cost vs selling and buying a bigger home... WOW GREAT JOB!!
Thanks for the comment. This is a true question. In this instance it was. The house required serious renovation to bring it into the 21st century.
Beautiful thank you for sharing
Many thanks
Красава!💪
Amazing job what is the size of extension thanks
Thank you size was approximately 5.5x 4.5 metres.
magnifique....
Many thanks
Beautiful work well done 👍
Many thanks
The fact that they lived in that during the construction must have been trying on the contractor. Good work’
Good call but It is my house and was a nightmare to live in during the project.
Does it come with a supply of sun cream and a pair of shades I do hope they are LED lights nice job anyway
Ha ha many thanks for the comment. The lights are LED and dimmable. They are on individual circuits and also controlled by home automation so it is very rare for all of the lights to be on together at any one time.
Awesome Transformation 👍🏽 What was the total cost of this refurb and do you work in east London ? @robsands
How much did it cost you? It looks amazing
About 35k. Many thanks.
@@robsands111 hey Rob can you share your architect and builder? We are looking to get something like this done. What size was this extension?
Many thanks for the comment. We did the majority ourselves.
Size was 4.5 x 5.5
This is amazing!!
Hoping to get something similar this year.
Many thanks and good luck.

It's not even my house but I'm worried about the electricity bill 🤣
Anyway, it looks amazing
Many thanks. All of the lights are LED and never all on at the same time. So far the bills have been low..
Great
Thanks
Looks like a great job accept for at the end it looks like the lights weren't lined up properly? Or is it just my wonky eyes?
Thanks for you comment. Possibly the camera angle. The lights are lined up properly
Que trabalheira!
Thanks

And the RSJs were due to the span and the middle supporting wall we removed. Also the smaller RSJs were supporting a bay window above.
Uau ! Parabéns ficou lindo , amei as cores
Obrigado
Thinking about doing this same thing. Roughly how much did it cost pls
We did so much like putting in underfloor heating and plenty of extras. It was also during lockdown so we had time on our hands. At the time it was about 35k

amazing door didn't
get damaged
Thanks Ray. We were concerned too but we kept the protective wrap on them until the end. Fortunately no damage.
This is what I want to do to my kitchen, extend it out to my patio. How much did it cost you?
Thanks for watching. Rough cost was about 35k.
