For the first time in ten years I feel like painting again. I must say that your videos have been the inspiration. Just ordered a container of cold wax and am rummaging around the house for my dusty paint supplies.
    Thank You.

First, I love hearing puppy feet in the background! Your videos remind me that it's not necessary to labour for days over a painting...agonizing does not help the process of intuition! Thank you for another set of fantastic inspiration, Lisa

Micki, my puppies are my studio mates, they are always around!! Sometimes our paintings just come together quickly! I love it when that happens! Thank you so much for watching!!

Do you use brushes to blend at selected times? Would it be possible for you to demonstrate 'brushing' during another video - perhaps along side of your finger blending and paper tapping. OMG, as I look at you finishing this work, I am in awe at the way you have pulled this landscape together. Brilliant. Many, many thanks for sharing your work with us Lisa.

I use brushes very little with my oil/coldwax work. I mainly use the squeegee/scraper, palette knife, brayer, texture making tools, silicone tools and my fingers. I will demo using a paint brush in an upcoming video demo. In my acrylic/mixed media work I do use brushes! Thanks for watching my videos!!

I love watching your process, altho I would like to hear when you’re using paint and when it’s cold wax. It all seems to be paint?
I have to say I kinda cringe when you use your fingers because of your skin absorbing those chemicals 🙀

Thank you so much for watching my video! I mix a 50/50 ratio of cold wax to paint on my palette, so every color I use has already been mixed with the wax when I begin painting. This helps to not forget to add the wax! My video "Abstract Cold Wax & Oil Studio Visit-3 of 3" ,ua-cam.com/video/mUCO8yTdjZ8/v-deo.html shows my palette and how I mix the wax with the paint. I used to use gloves but I paint so much with my hands and fingers that I don't use them much now, however, you are right to be concerned, I do tell all my students, you are responsible for your own health and safety, so we all must think about that and make those decisions about the safety of our art products. I do wipe/clean my hands very often, as I am painting. Thanks so much for your thoughts and concern.

@@LisaBBoardwine I have my concerns also. I have been using acrylics and mixed media for 25 years and just starting using Cold Wax and oil about 2 years ago. I have a number of artist friends that have started to have signed of ParKinson Disease. I wonder if it is not protecting themselves from the paints. I hate using gloves but have told myself I need to.

Candice Christie Candice Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate your comments and thoughts! As for the gloves, please use your own judgement in whether or not to wear gloves when painting. We all have to take the health precautions we feel are necessary for ourselves. It is up to you individually as to taking care of your health. I am constantly wiping and cleaning my hands as I am painting. You may not see that on camera but it is happening off camera. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness and concern.

Yes, wearing gloves is a pain, but not living to see your grandchildren grow up is a bigger pain. Never to late to change. I enjoy your painting and wish you well.
