- Today we talk about story telling with minis and dioramas, show the demise of poor poor Rufus, and find out the real story was the friends we made along the way.

Awesome diorama with a great story. Lovely paint job! Thanks so much for the shoutout!
Much appreciated Boylei! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Boylei for this new subscription!
Poor poor Rufus. Fantastic
Knarb, fastest mouse in the West.
He never said a chance... Poor lil fella
Well done, dear. I was never really surprised when my writing students excelled beyond their usual grade level when allowed to choose a vignette or photo of some action taking place upon which to write. Dioramas can feed the mind.
Story. Yes, you nailed it. Trying to engage people's imagination so that they fill in the blanks is so on the money. I love that picture of you beardless! I also took some glamour shots at Wal-Mart. Best use of $17.99 ever. Excellent build and video Nick!
Thanks T-Nu! Nothing like Walmarts I tell ya, where else can you get a portrait taken, teeth cleaning, new glasses, and a cart full of hot dogs at the same place?
@@CCMinis When mentioning all of the fun things that Wal-Mart has to offer we overlooked: A fun game of fisticuffs with a total stranger over a handicapped parking space, food poisonig by those radioactive hotdogs in that sticky/stinky "restaurant" , and assaulted in the restroom. Also, don't forget everyday low prices!
Beautiful colours Nick! Love this pocket sized diorama.
Thanks Terran!
Thank you for sharing this! The part about storytelling with Miniatures really resonated with me because of my creative style. I create miniatures based on the imaginary stories in my head. LOLOLOOLOL!! This was Great!
Nick you're a treat. I love your pacing and imagination and story telling. Glad to have you in my channels.
Thanks MrMule, you made my night =]
Now I think I can add to my arsenal. Bases for minis are next on my list of things to work on. Thanks, Nick!
Wow what an incredible idea! I love the paint job and the trick woth the texture paint! You're absolutely right about the importance of telling a story with miniatures and dioramas. It add so much.
I've always gone for "a moment in time" in my pieces and you captured this moment beautifully, well done!
Thanks Geordie! Much appreciated =]
Tiny-ramas is a great idea... I may give it ago. Also 8 hours is 4 times the amount of sleep I get.
Watch out, if you have another kid it'll be 8 times the amount of sleep you get
I do believe I have a new favorite painting/crafting channel!
Aw thank you, that means a lot to me. So glad you are enjoying the videos
@@CCMinis You're very welcome kind sir!! I'm just getting into Age of Sigmar, and have a Seraphon dino army that I'm dying to paint using the vaporwave techniques you've shown in videos!
Your a chill dude. I like it. Just watching and looking for some ideas. Good work man.
Boylei says called it good
The lighting on that!
Not only with filming, but the paint job is great!
I work outside, and am often in the sun. Just out of instinct I started to squint my eyes. I can't wait to try it.
Thanks Bubba
@@CCMinis hell man, thank you for the content.
That's the reason why I like photography so much. It captures a single timeframe of a moment and leaves the past and future of that very moment open to the viewers' imagination. Very nice job!
Speaking of photography, I like how you used that zoom lens as a lazy susan for the diorama haha.
Thanks for noticing! I want to start including them as lazy susans / props more often =]
You're so right that the initial dio would have told the story, but the paint scheme really sells it. Nice, simple dio that tells a bigger story
Thanks Geppetto!
First time on your channel. Great production value, cool pacing and setup. You get my subscription :)
Oh, and your little diorama is great neat.
Thanks, welcome!
Very nice. Like the lights n shadows a lot.
this isnt talking down on the rest of the vids, but man, this is by far your best build. the shadows effect turned out so good!
Thanks Cream Ale! Really proud of this one
Aiiieeee! Mais I'm from Lafourche! Found you through the Boylei hobby time comment.
Great video! The colors and sunset effect are perfect.
Thanks BP!
Awesome stuff, perfect vibe for a slow start weekend
Thanks James! Enjoy your weekend =]
@@CCMinis you too mate
that paint scheme looks amazing!
Man your videos are so entertaining. Thank you for your work!
Nice one man! Looks great!
Thanks Danque, YOU look great
this really awsome, I got inspired because I know I can do that. You look like another youtuber by the way-marsh makes comics. He even talks calm and collected like you😂
This is a really cool little project
Fantastic little diorama, love the scale! 🔥
Thanks Alex!
Love it!
Amazing content
Also, if you don't need the 18650's anymore...😉
Neat
I have Black 1.0, too. It's dark enough. :) Poor Rufus! I love the story this told. How many other hands attached to bodies are under that sand? By the way, you make a nice fig leaf. Very enjoyable video!
At least 4, and thank you =]
I apologise if you've answered this before. What is the sponge doohickey on your brush, and why do you use it? Curious if it could help me get more control or less painful hand cramps.
Those are foam pencil grips. They help with carpal tunnel. When I first started using them my hands cramped a bit more, but now they cramp less - ymmv
