what a wonderful video. thank you for taking the time to put this online. Cash is one of my heroes and you have some design elements pictured in here that I want to use on my own home Im building in Indiana
I was lucky to visit the House of Cash with my parents in the 1970s when I was just a kid. One thing that I remember is how beautiful the place was and how the woman at the desk welcomed me. She gave me a personal tour and she was Johnny's mother. I still have the picture I took with her .It is a shame the House of Cash is no more as Johnny and June are legends. The funny part is everyone thought I was one of the Cash kids and started asking me for autographs as Johnny's Mom was so nice to me.
MaryWr1124 - What a great story, thank you for stopping by and sharing. I know that must be a very special picture to you. My daughter wrote Johnny a note after we returned to NC and low and behold he wrote her "in his had writing" a note back and signed it. I have the note in my special papers today. God Bless.
Thankyou for sharing such nice photos. I'd like to make a Johnny Cash-related trip to Tennessee and Arkansas, too bad the House of Cash isn't there anymore.

Drove by this building every day. Also past Johnny's house down from ours That southerners Stone fence was always in my memory of that house way afer we moved away.
Thanks Caseyangus for your comment. I had Johnny's music in the background but youtube said someone complained so I had to use some of their music. What a shame.
ancientastronomer - thanks for your comment. Yes, I'm very glad that we made that trip and got see the House of Cash as well as Johnny's house. He and June are surely missed.
The House of Cash was the recording studio at that time. Cash lived on Ole Hickory Lake about 2 miles from the studio. He also had offices in the House of Cash.
Were those tomato plants staked up next to the driveway at 2:11? If so I guess that's why there was a guard shack. To keep folks from stealing their tomatoes!
Many thanks for these pictures! It's a shame the house burnt down. I particularly love the round part of the house that can be seen above the boat and the red car (is that a Jeep DJ or something the like?). Can you tell what song this is that's playing? I actually quite like it.

Thanks for posting Bob. Its a shame the house has been destroyed. At one time Roy Orbison was one of his neighbors.
From those of us who never got to visit the House Of Cash, thank you so much for posting this!

Didn't they live there anymore at that time?

What ever happened to the House of Cash? Why isn't it there anymore? Thank you for sharing these photos.
It closed down and eventually the building was sold. Now another company owns the building and is operating from it.
