No, not once did he even offend Serbs here. My man showed the 30 Serbs who died in the war but didn’t mention the 15.000 Albanian civilians who died…. He also only shows Serbian churches, of which there are barely any on Kosovo. Didn’t show a single Albanian monument, only Turkish ones.

@@lypcizhenaf8988 the video disagrees with your comment, since we can plainly see Rugova, Mother Theresa's cathedral, Rugova again, the National Library, Newborn and Missing monuments, there's even the snapshot of Skenderbeg (although I think that's in Tirana, idk), the monument to Bill Clinton, a statue of a fallen soldier from 1999 war I think (can't read the caption), Isa Balatini and another statue in Mitrovica, Bayram-pasha mosque, the League of Prizren house. I think I covered them all, but I may have missed some. From a Serb, I guess that's plenty. Would you perhaps contribute by stating which monuments were omitted? I've never been to Kosovo and don't really know the local history.

So if anything we were all equally bad and saying that one side was worse then the other is as dumb as thinking that the earth is flat
P.S there were more then 200 serbian churches before all the shit in Kosovo since you obviously think that there were none and around 170 were destroyed in the 90s, 30 in 2004 and an unknown number in 2008

Spent almost 5 years in Kosovo, between 2000 and 2007, mostly in Mitrovica area. I enjoyed every minute, and made many friends, both South and North of Ibar.

I dated a Serbian girl who was a first generation immigrant her dad fought in the Yugo war and was a nut job but we had a lot of fun especially when he found out I had a hard on for Com block rifle garbage. Really awesome family, unfortunately she didn’t want kids so I moved on. It was hilarious though listening to her dad explaining Balkan politics and the fact that all his daughters had a naming pattern. Ariana, Juliana, Liliana, and Ivana.

We all know that Kosovo is a core and valuable part of the Republic of Sierra Leone
When I look at it, Kosovo looks almost identical to every average polish place except for the cult places [we have more gothic churches]. I am also confident to say that it looks like every other average east european country, with small touches like different flags and temples, like I mentioned earlier. It's kind of scarry - you wake up from coma in one of those countries and you have no idea which one it is unless you recognize the language or find a flag 😳But it's also cute in some ways - no metter where you wake up, you will feel at least a little at home.

Ah, I see you've visited the lost Swedish province of Kosofsö. Captured by Charles the 12th in 1714 when escaping the Ottoman empire.
I went to Kosovo in 2021 and it was sort of a fever dream for sure. I took a bus from Shkodër to Prizren, Kosovo and when we got to the Albania-Kosovo border there were cars stuck in traffic for more than a few kilometers😂
People started getting out of the bus and smoking cigarettes, and after about 2-3 hours of sitting on this bus, not moving, we finally started moving toward the border.
Then the driver told me to get out and take my passport, and trust him that my backpack will make it onto another bus😂 he leads me to another bus and after another 30-45 minutes of waiting, this bus starts moving and some Kosovo guards come on and get us all through.
Then in like 15 minutes we were rolling away from the border at midnight in Kosovo... During a strict 9pm COVID-19 curfew that Kosovo had at the time. So, the bus dropped my ass off in some random parking lot in Prizren at midnight, past curfew... But hey I got my backpack alright! Anyway, I got to my hostel thanks to a taxi but that was my intro to Kosovo.
I ended up spending time in Pristina, Peja, and Prizren. I also went to a bear sanctuary in the middle of no where outside Pristina. That was interesting because it was quite literally in the middle of nowhere. It was a very interesting time though, I would love to go back someday.

I did a double take when you spoke about Mitrovitza and had to skip back and confirm that you'd said that there were Saxons there. I knew that the German speakers of Transylvania in Romania are called ''Siebenbuerger Sachsen'' but had no idea that some had settled as far down as Kosovo too! I'm writing from the what used to be the Southern Saxon Kingdom in what is now England, Sussex. The Welsh and Scottish still call the English Saxons to this day (Saesnag in Welsch, Sassenach in Gaelic).

Its so dissapointing seeing all the monestaries being damaged, desecrated and destroyed because of war, ideology, regimes etc. Wish such a beautiful place wasn't a hotbed for conflict.

Plus many Catholic Albanian churches were destroyed by Serbs during the war. I don't approve of destroying Orthodox Churches. But Serbs destroyed Catholic Churches and mosques in the thousands in Bosna, Croatia and Kosovo. They are the biggest culprits, but this is ignored.

From a walking-view city perspective (I visited Kosovo for 3 days in 2023), I think it was pretty developed for Balkan standards. Pristina looked way more developed and Westernized than Belgrade, Bosnia, Montenegro, Bulgaria or North Macedonia. Prizren looked more similar to Albania, but still more developed. The people in general were also very nice, compared to people from other countries in the Balkans. Also, it is the most nationalistic place I’ve ever been. All the souvenirs revolved around this Macedonia-Albanian army group, and all been super friends with Albania and the EU/NATO. Almost anything historic or regarding the actual beauty of the buildings and sites. The highways and roads were also really well paved. All of this stricked me, as I expected the place to be less developed than Serbia and most of the Balkan countries.

As a christian im a bit confused by the dysbalance of basic respekt here. But as an absolut history freak i must say that i might faint if i ever get to see thouse amazing historikal mosques in person.

I was in Mitrovica this summer, my friend was getting married there. The biggest difference between Albanian area and Serb area was that the Albanian side seemed very lively and had so many young people. While the Serb side seemed empty and mainly full of old people. Kosovo has by far the youngest average age in Europe and it showed.
