My commentary as a Slovak: - "Everyone copes and pleads how they are ACTUALLY Central Europe." - Now if you excuse me I need to go find some aloe vera lotion for that burn. - Don't know about the mullet, but socks in sandals are considered a Czech classic. - The line about widespread samohonka gave me flashbacks to the summers at my granparents' in a rural area in Western Slovakia. Like at many a party, you had someone stopping by and proudly showing up their homemade jablkovica. Though to be fair, Slovaks love beer too - stereotypical village grandpas sitting in a pub can drink either beer or hard liquor, or both. - Re: Ukrainian women being extraordinarily beautiful. Funnily enough, in Slovakia, we claim that us Slovak women are the most beautiful in the world... Well, "us", I personally don't think so, and I don't say that just because I am an ugly Slovak woman. - OMG you completely forgot Slovakia... The fact that Belarus is not mentioned in this video is so funny and ironic because our main stereotype is probably that this country is not-existing for people outside ex-ussr and every time you need to tell where are u from you need to find some ways to describe it like "it's a country between poland and russia"
And then need 5 more minutes to find a map to convince people it's not a part of Russia, at least not yet. And even then I had people not believe me that we exist, like we're some kind of fairies or some shit.
@@NukeWalker true, this shit happened to me last year while I was in Turkey for a few days. On the other hand, while visiting EU I had no such problems, let's skip Lithuania and Poland, germans, austrians and slovaks are all had no problem with understanding where I was from and almost all of them were aware of "cockroach" situation so they were friendly and supportive (that was kinda unexpected because of belarusian and russian propaganda were telling about hostility of europeans towards simple dudes from Belarus). But that was 2023, in 2016 or even 2013 they 100% wouldn't know what the hell Belarus is.

As a basque person, I can't help but respect the energy Hungarians invest into not talking an Indo-European language 😂😂😂
Edit: look at the comments if you want to see the most hilarious misinformation about PIE not being real. Trust me, it's wild. There's some guy screaming at the void that PIE is a hoax and going "DEBATE ME! DEBATE ME!". Hope they open a book some day, for their sake
Hungarians speak a east asian language cousin to mongol-turkic. That evolved and took european loan words with time
Basque are simply iberian that never sucessfuly assimilated to latin culture
Indo-european theory is a big lie. It is based that since a language in india have so many common words with latin&germanic&greek. That they have must of have common origin
Forgeting latin/german/greek was language of science in persia&india. + greek settlement there during alexander the great
@@mathewvanostin7118 Imagine trying to argue that Indoeuropean is a lie to a linguist
@@tadesubaru1383 yes because that theory came from viral university reasearcher who assumed that assumed because he found common words between europe&india. That we have same origin
Since they are not historians and geopoliticians. They dont know latin, greek, german were language of science in persia and india
That theory was also pushed a lot to cure racism agenda
@@mathewvanostin7118 Absolutely nothing you've said is correct. It's amazing, really
@@tadesubaru1383 everything i said is correct because i am history nerd and polygot
It doesnt mean that because 2 languages has similarities that they are automaticaly same origin

@@rightwingreactionary It is literally between Czechia and Hungary which were discussed in this video. If those countries are Eastern Europe so is Slovakia.
С каких пор Португалия является восточноевропейской страной, лол?
@@MegaSlavX Так типа мем есть, что Португалия это в реальности восточная Европа, по крайней мере по всем экономическим и демографическим показателям.
