"where the northern lights burst out in colours and the magic nights surpass all others" 🎶 Thanks for showing us everyone's favourite hometown! Definitely on my list to visit one day💕
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you for this video. I fell in love with the Eurovision song contest movie and it made me fall in love with Iceland and Husavik. I will visit one day and see the whales! "Where the whales can live cause they're gentle people!" LOVE!!!
The eurovision movie brought me here. Thank youu!! Husavik is such a beautiful place, I want to go there sometime. Are the places in the movie real? like where the eleves and everything? lol
It's a gorgeous town. Well Husavik is real of course and the landscapes but I guess Hollywood usually tries to add some spice with their cgi magic. I don't know if the elf house was made specifically for the movie. I think we Icelanders don't really believe in elves but we are fond of the stories about them and we don't want to forget them. There are hundreds of hills and rocks and cliffs in Iceland that people say are elven towns or habitats.
There is really only one thing that relaxes me at the end of the day; it's watching these wonderful videos. Thank you for giving us such beautiful and enjoyable content ❤️🇮🇸
@IcelandHotSpots It's all natural ! These are compliments that come straight from the heart! It’s a real pleasure to be able to be in the front row and be able to see such great content. For a little while now, i haven't stop buying Icelandic items as : Skyr, Lopapeysa's ( this is my 2nd) one ☝️ skjöldur & one from "the hand knitting association of Iceland 🇮🇸" and of course; books to learn Icelandic, Icelandic lessons) and it is largely thanks to you.
Estuve muy cerca de ir a Islandia a trabajar el verano pasado, pero al final no pude ir por el Coronavirus... me habría encantado. Espero conseguir una nueva oportunidad pronto porque me encantaría vivir una experiencia allí...
Thank you for this beautiful video and also for what camera, gimbal, and boots you used! (I was honestly wondering about those things while watching this.) My dream is to travel to Iceland one day. Subscribed!
Would love to go one day! Can I ask how you heat the whole town in winter? Is it just natural gas or are there underground Geothermal water springs that are used?

@@IcelandHotSpots Hi, thank you for your answer. To be honest, I did not understand what I was reading in the PDF; probably my bad. We went whale watching in Husavik on the Skjálfandi Bay last month and we went a little bit north from there, so the tour took more than 4 hours instead of 3 and we were wondering how deep the water is where we watched the whales. Any ideas on that? Thanks.
I feel a little ashamed of the fact that it took a Will Ferrell movie to show me this gem. But me and my girlfriend will definitely be visiting here post-covid.

Well most of us like it but not everyone. In Húsavík I went to a restaurant and had great fish but they offered burgers, pizzas, sodas and the usual as well.

Im from iceland my grandma lives in the old red house near the pond that was my uncle in the blue clothes
Really? Haha very interesting. Takk fyrir!
Is this really Iceland? How the trees have grown!
Yes just when I think about my own town the trees have grown tall and the outside area has been actively reforested.
Would love to go one day! Can I ask how you heat the whole town in winter? Is it just natural gas or are there underground Geothermal water springs that are used?
It is using geothermal heat for the most part. I hope you can visit one day :)
@@IcelandHotSpots Wow cool
Good
Thanks
Show more of the restos and pubs!
I'm far away from Húsavík now but good suggestion for next time

For et vakkert sted. Kan man snakke norsk eller dansk?
Jeg ville ikke stole på det. Alle lærer dansk. Ingen snakker dansk. Ha ha. De fleste snakker engelsk.

Everybody(native) in Iceland likes fish? What kind foods do they offer you in restaurant?
Well most of us like it but not everyone. In Húsavík I went to a restaurant and had great fish but they offered burgers, pizzas, sodas and the usual as well.
Who's here after watching lars and singrit?
