saw you made some water crossings in those shoes, did they drain well? how long did they take to dry? compared to your old brooks cascadias
What are your thoughts on this shoe? Compared to the Brooks Cascadia 16s
@@Bb97jdiyc479 "Working out better than the brooks so far. Quick laces are nice. Dried quickly after crossing rivers. Need a few more hundred miles before I see where they come apart. Expect a review after Switzerland ✌🏻" - That's his words from facebook group.
@@Confileus thanks, Filip!

Think about this folks. EVERY scene requires setting up a camera... taking a walk... stopping and returning to pick up the camera, then repeating the walk. OVER and over again, to create this video. Deep respect for the effort taken to provide this experience to all of us. Thank you Kraig.
I've been thinking this too, imagining him coming back every time. This is where a re-homing drone would be handy :D
Why not just carry a camera?
Especially for the scene at 9:18 literally in a freezing cold river.
NAHHHH KRAIG HAS GOTTEN SMART HE USES DRONES A LOT FOR HIS SHOTS SO LESS WALKING BAXK AND FORTH TO PICK UP HIS CAMERA DRONES CAN BE SET UP TO HOVER ABOUT 3 FEET OR SOOOO CAPTURING SHOTS YOU WANT

I did this hike July 2021. It's a wonderful hike. I hitchhiked back to Reykjavik at the end. It was a 97 mile hitch. I got a ride the entire way by Donny Dust who starred in season 6 of Alone. He was in Iceland filming a survival series.
nice surprise to meet him
You think I should plan on hitchhiking in August or schedule a bus ride😬👀
I know you have way too many subscribers and probably get way too many comments to acknowledge mine but I wanted to let you know was a disabled person with cancer I get to live life vicariously through you.
Maybe you think just people who like to hike and see the world watch you but it's actually people like me who can't.
I can never say thank you enough for taking me to these beautiful places I can almost smell the air and feel the wind on my face.
🤜🤛
I don't know if it's something you would ever do but one thing I've always wanted to do and I cannot is hike the White mountains of New Hampshire.
That's something I would love to see you do.
The Kancamagus highway is beautiful and there are certainly breathtaking locations in this country.
Give it some thought and thank you
I've hiked this route about 15 times, the first time in late August 1979. The reason I remember the date is that a fatal accident occurred after we started out hike in the river that you crossed on those two spindly pedestrian bridges - a group of 4x4s had attempted to drive across it a hundred yards or so upstream of the bridge but had been swept away by the current. We got to that hut the evening after and met some people who had been attempting to recover wreckage from the river.
I did this last year. Absolutely gorgeous. I thought it was crazy how you literally see zero trees until you get to the end.

Inspired by you to not just sit at home and get out there, I just did a 2 days hike in Norway, hiked Trolltunga, set camp after the first 25km and walked back the next morning. Now convinced to do this stuff more often!
Amazing
The guide section at the end was really interesting. I hike a lot too and I really value information like that from other hikers.
Nostalgia... still my favorite place to date. Iceland is amazing.
Thanks for all the beautiful shots and the setups, with all the extra steps
Fascinating hike through the unique Iceland scenery - thank you, Kraig.
I did the Laugavegur hike alone back in 1989, from Landmannalaugar to Skogar. Back then, there was almost NO tourism in Iceland, and apart from the huts at Thorsmork, I only met one other hiker on the entire trip. It was an incredible experience, and I'd like to do it again someday, but with all the attention it's getting, it's probably quite different.
Good stuff. Always appreciate the effort when so much time is put into a specific shot, specifically the drones, and then only 2-3 seconds of it actually make the final cut.
Thank you so much for your UA-cam channel for bringing me adventures and journeys. Every time I see these places Feels like I'm searching for something of a journey.
Beautiful shots! Captivating and haunting. Iceland just has this other worldly look. Beautiful!
I'll be going here in a couple weeks, just want to say, this has hyped me up so much,
Thanks Kraig!
This is exactly what I needed after a long day at stressful work. It is inspirational and motivating to get out of comfort and make something out of the life we were gifted to have. Thank you so much for sharing and wishing you only the best.
Me encantan tus videos ❤🤗🥰. La calidad de las imágenes, la música. Hemosos🙌
Great footage and detail. Thanks.
Thank you for such an amazing video. It's new to me to enjoy the peculiar terrain in Iceland. Wow.
One of the best you’ve done dude! I went to Iceland in 2018 and it’s remarkable how foreign the terrain is. Can’t wait to go back.
Amazing hike and stunning views. Such a beautiful country with such rough landscapes but so beautiful. Loved it. Love and be safe!😘🤗🌼ve
Thank you for the beautiful and peaceful video! Iceland is so majestic!!
spectacular. So many different landscapes. Thanks so much, Kraig.
It’s amazing to see beautiful drone shots of this trail. Thank you for that.
I did the trail in 2019 and I am going back to Iceland again in 10 days for this trail. One of my favorites for sure.
I haven't had a lot of time recently so now I'm just binge watching your last ~5-6 months of videos and I gotta say I don't think there was ever a channel that made me relax and appreciate nature as much as yours.
Fantastic as always! Pure talent, thank you Kraig!
Your recaps are priceless .
Thanks
Wow, what an incredible place! Thanks for sharing.
marvelous landscape and scenery. Thanks Kraig. Nice to see that you're still doing the guide at the end of every hike.
Really awesome! I have a question: when you cross the river no water enters the shoes? If the water got into the shoes did your foot not rub . Thank you.
Surreal landscape. Can't wait to visit Mordor next July. Work of art. Thank you!
Bravo! excellent épisode. Travail remarquable.
those drone shots are amazing and the white snow up against the brown and green mountains is incredibly beautiful
I paused your video, because I can’t wait to say I love your drone shots. They are so beautiful.
This hike is on our bucket list 😍 So beautiful. You were SO lucky with the weather!
thanks, Kraig for the amazing videos, always!
Everything about these videos is just perfect
These landscapes of Iceland are incomparable. Really beautiful.
Amazing film Kraig.

Respect taking the time with camera. I finished just couple days ago. It was amazing hike!
Amazing Adam. My partner and I went to Iceland because we where in awe from your first video there. Ended up making a little travel video inspired by your style. Absolutely amazing scenery we would love to go again. Thanks for taking me back.

I'm going to Iceland this fall with two of my friends. We'll be renting a car and driving around the entire outside rim of the country in 14 days. I can't wait! Your Hornstrandir video is one I always come back to because I love it so much. Thanks for the inspiring content Kraig!
Incredible drone Intro Kraig, I am not gonna watch further, as I am gonna do a public viewing event in the garden with your new piece today. Some cold drinks, BBQ, Friends, and a new Kraig Adams Masterpiece. So looking forward to it. Merci man
This is a real great video. I found the end chat explaining the route very useful indeed. Thanks
GORGEOUS! Loving the music.. its 1/2 the reason I tune in! Thank you for taking me places I could never hike due to health issues.. what a BLESSING to be able to follow your hearts desire.. peace
Yeah honestly I'm out of shape but just find these videos therapeutic 😂
amazing !!! places, shots, job... great movie, thanks
Such a pleasant meander. Really love the mood created in this. Thanks! : )
Great video, i loved all. Thanks to show more of this beatiful country
Iceland is increible, fantastic landscapes. Good Video.
Thank you, this is exactly like I experienced my hike, the same way, one year ago. Thanks.
I did a 12 mile out-and-back last month starting at Skogafoss. It was one of the best hikes of my life. I counted over 10 waterfalls just in those miles of hiking.
Amazing scenery, man. Thank you!
At least one trail I did before you ! Did Hellismannaleid and Laugavegur last summer : Rjupnavellir to Thorsmörk, a wonderful hike, but had to cancel continuing with Fimmvörðuháls due to weather condition and stop in Thorsmörk.
Fimmvörðuháls from Thorsmörk to Skogar can be one of the most dangerous trail in Iceland when conditions are not good like you had, and is surely the one with the most rescuing operations. So for people wanting to do it : always check wheather conditions with the campsite warden in Thorsmork before leaving and don't trust what you see : we were under a very nice sun in Thorsmörk thinking we could do it but learned from the warden that it was only storm at the top and suggesting us not to do it... Avoid also leaving from Skogar without live weather information on the top, there is no warden to ask...
When I stay in Thorsmörk one more night inside of hiking to Skogar, people hiking the same way did like me and no one left... The day after, we learned from the warden than people who started the day beafore from Skogar (the easy side...) without good advices/informations were stuck in Baldvinsskáli hut with no possibility of leaving, moments of storm and a visibility of less than 50 meters outside... Who knows what could have happened if we didn't ask the warden or follow his advice, and left...
Hiking trails in Iceland is unique but just need good organisation and the right gear, never underestimate trails in Iceland even in summer (especially Fimmvörðuháls) and remember that you can find the trail is an easy and wonderful hike in good condition but a less lucky guy on the same way 3 days after you with bad conditions will perhaps find the same hike awful and dangerous...
And thank you for having helped me with your videos to do the last step to start on the trails for more than one day, showing it was possible ;) I made Torres del Paine in March, and am planning hiking in Grand Teton in August !
A classic Kraig Adams hiking video. Awesome footage and wonderful music which fits perfect for Iceland. 👍👍👋👋
Iceland is such an amazing island.
Beautiful and nicely done (as usual).
Amazing landscape, very beautiful film scenes! I want to pack my backpack right now.
i did this hike with three friends of mine when i was 15. we loved the landscape which is why we hiked into the night two times and it was amazing - no people, everything is silent and calm and since it doesnt really get dark in summer we had nothing to worry about.
So wonderful!!! Oh and those shoes!
That shot at 16:31 is just gorgeous, reminds me of Wanderer above the Sea of Fog.
OMG! Amazing drone shots, man! Great video =]
My wife and I visited Iceland this past March and we did the Vatnajökull Glacier and Ice cave hike which has been the most beautiful hike of my life. Absolutely breathtaking. Hoping to go back in the summer and do this amazing hike and possibly head out to the Westfjords. We drove around the country counterclockwise and plan to drive clockwise the next time around.
Your videos are therapy for my soul ❤️

Drone shots are next level. Well done. Cant wait for Switzerland
Literally going there in 5 days and doing the exact same trip, thanks for the little guide.
Hiked this during a study abroad I did in Iceland. Stunning
This trail is on my to-do list and I found your video so informative with beautiful optics. Thank you for making and posting. It's a very professional video and did I say beautiful? Good travels to you.
Excellent video. Have been to Iceland. Beautiful country. Stayed in the Reykjavik area. Felt very safe.
Hope to get back there again someday. Enjoy Switzerland. 🇨🇭

We just did this hike two weeks ago. Love to see this video again and relive those experiences
Your editing is amazing. Congratulations.
Amazing hike 🤩 keep up the good work. Subbed and waiting for your next adventure 👌
We are packing for this hike right now.... Amazing video.
Another amazing video kraig, a have this trail on my list to do
Did this Hike solo last year . Need good rain gear and good tent . U can’t charge your power banks while on trail . U can charge in thorsmörk tho . Love this hike
Watching this brought back nice memories - i did the exact same itinerary a few years ago and spent some more days in Landmann and Thorsmork for day hiking
At 07:40 you walked through the river, but would have had to do it again to come back for the camera, that’s commitment 👏🏻😂
Amazing video, thanks Kraig
I literally now walking back in Reykjavík, after completing Hellismanaleid and Laugavegur yesterday (110 km combined). Such a coincidence! A big fan of yours.
I lived in Iceland for 3 years, left just last month. Made friends for life, had another kid, toured the gorgeous landscapes. Watching this now is giving me the blues, but I know I'll be back. I assume you've been smitten too Kraig, seeing as you came back for more. Much love
I was there part of a tour group last year. Going back in september to hike this trail. But i know i’ll be back next year to hike it alone like this guy. I just love the nature over there
Wow....again ! Thank you for sharing !
can always rely on Kraig Adams solo hikes to quieten the mind and feel at peace - the perfect way to end the day halfway through quarantine in Hong Kong
Beautiful scenery
Love the video ❤️ keep them coming!

Been waiting for this. I saw you at Skógar lining up to get into the bus. Well done!

Incredible, stark, raw nature, shows us how small we are.
Harden Hoek - “hey Kraig check out this river cr-“
Kraig Adams - “I’ll show you a river crossing!”
😀 been enjoying both of your videos lately, cheers for the relaxing views and inspiration.
Did this exact hike last year. Its awesome
I started this youtube channel just by watching your videos Kraig ❤️. I know it's an uphill for a new channel like me but I'll be consistent and make sure to improve myself with every video I make. Thank you Kraig ❤️
Same here even i started my youtube journey motivated by kg adams
Same here! He's such an inspiration.
@@JonathanLundmark I agree :)
@@Trekker_KD good to hear Kedar. Keep grinding.
same
Very cool, Kraig. I'm envious of the cool temps there in Iceland as I swelter in Reno. Our recent backpacking trip to Yosemite was almost as scenic as Iceland :)
I love scenes like these. Deathstranding was inspired by Iceland, and seeing you hike this is so awesome!
Death Stranding actaully used photogrammetry (i probably spelt that wrong) in Iceland for the game!
Wow did not know that. Awesome
Kraig, my name is Edimilson Lopes, i'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, you're simply the best, thank you !!!
Kraig always produce amazing hiking videos. Keep it up lad
Just stunning 🇮🇸❄️❤️
Nice Thank you for sharing
Great video. ❤❤
What an awesome adventure. Your film making skills are superb!
ua-cam.com/video/dBSySFAqyXU/v-deo.html
I like the footstep sound. It's like ASMR
crazy how you pack all that stuff in this small backpack. Was nice to see some Iceland shots which brought up some memories from 2017 when I did this hike.
Another awesome hiking video Kraig and very happy to meet you on the trail a couple of times (22:06 in video).
You have been an inspiration for my own hiking videos and I will soon upload my version of the same trails where you are actually part of 2 shots yourself :)
Impressive editing speed by the way seeing as we hiked the trails last week.
Take care, stay safe in Switzerland and I hope we cross paths again!
Nice. I'll look forward to watching that myself once you upload. Small world, and yet it seems so big when we're out there, exploring it.
@@RenegadeShepTheSpacer Nice! I just uploaded my version of the Fimmvorduhals and will upload the Laugavagur trail separately. When meeting Kraig on the trail, the world indeed seemed small for a moment!
the best... omg such beautiful place
