@@tomtdubz okay so that went like a complete shit show haha the template I had didn't line up one bit and ended up drilling the holes twice haha should have listened to the guy above who said don't drill holes hahaha anybody know a welder??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 used Sikaflex (tiger seal type stuff) instead lol

Useful but invest in some cone drill bits for drilling sheet metal and center pop mark the desired hold first.
Decent step drills are a must 👌🏻
Useful video! How easily can you remove the spoiler? I am buying a van this week with a spoiler but want to remove it to fit a bike carrier. AS far as i can tell bike carriers need to fix to the top edge of the barn door which is no longer accessible with a spoiler fitted. would really appreciate your thoughts.
It’s quite easy to remove.. but of pull/shove.. but could take a while to clean up the glue.. depending on which one was used…
Any need for the rubber gasket on there? Fitting mine this weekend and as you point out its less flush with the gasket on. Decided to just go with puraflex40 on mine, no drilling
Don’t think there’s any need, gunna take mine off and re fit matte black soon, got a bit of time on my hands at the mo...
@@tomtdubz cool, yeah just removed one of the gaskets and the fit was a lot better. Not sure of their purpose unless its to stop water getting to the holes and I'm not drilling so will leave them off. Cheers
See the glue left over from your old rear spoiler what way did you go about cleaning it up for the new one? Thanks
Stanly blade… little bit of thinners, an then panel wipe.. the scotch pad the paint to rough it up slightly if your not using the fixings.
Where did you buy the spoiler from? Hoping to get one similar with the fittings and not just bonded!

Thanks for watching. This spoiler kit comes with the screws I just chose to use an adhesive as I didn’t want to drill through the van…

Please don’t drill holes in your van, just use adhesive. You will get future leaks.

T Dubz not everyone can do it right, adhesive is much more fool proof
ambitionsskyyyy this is true, I had one fitted just with adhesive and a nice person decided to remove it... hence screwing this one into place too 👌🏻👊🏻

Where did you purchase this spoiler from? Did it come in white already?
Got it from travelinlite, get most bits from there.. didn’t come painted I gave it a quick spray 👌🏻
