My favorite song right now is at 14:31. It kinda gives the vibe that the good ol days are over or near the end, and you just gotta keep walking on while reminiscing and remembering what once was.
RIP Splash Mountain literally one of the best rides in existence. I cannot believe they are gonna take it down over some stupid controversy that absolutely makes no sense to begin with.
It's a beautiful ride. One of, if not the best ride Disney has ever created. The attention to detail, the atmosphere, the characters, the music, the vibrant, warm colours, it all just comes together wonderfully. It's peak Imagineering and easily the greatest water ride in the world. They will regret throwing this masterpiece away. In the wise words of Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog: "You got what you wanted, you lost what you had."
@@TheFoxFromSplashMountain And to quote Scar..... "long live the king." Mainly because the blind willingness to defend a movie that even Walt himself had pulled during the civil rights era's ride that had more boats sinking than James Cameron's dreams.
@@caden_1916 I don't think you understand the context. Song of the South is the name of the movie it's based on. It's the title of the movie. And they are removing it, so you proved your own point.
9:10 the first everybody’s got a laughing place was always a joy to listen to while going through the queue in splash. I’ll always miss this ride when going to Disneyland and you never know. It could be a possibility that if tianas bayou adventure bombs real hard, this could make a return.
@@brersam9473 never said that. I fucking hate what they are doing to splash. I was saying that it would be nice if princess and the frog was so bad that they had to change it back to splash mountain
When I wanna cry I come here to listen and shed some tears, ever since this ride closed I haven’t felt the same going to Disneyland, it just feels sad now
I never truly appreciated the queue music in Disneyland rides till I started playing music myself. Like, I love the Bass clarinet-flute melody at 9:57, and the English horn solo at 22:11. They sound so fun and joyful.
Just hear after disney annouced the closing date for the version at disneyland. I rode that version like a few weeks ago and im already nostalgic for it. I honestly prefer disneylands soundtrack over disney world/tokyo disneyland's even though its exclusive there. I am really gonna miss it
I love this! Thanks so much for posting! I’m gonna miss this ride so much :( I wish Disney would release all of their cue / attraction tracks. So good! Especially Splash’s!
You know I find it extremely funny that Disney is still changing this after millions of people claimed they hated it. The theme it is now isn't racist! Let alone the film isn't even racist! Its just history!!!
@@sccrapped37 Songs from the South is a very watered-down film, from the time of the Civil War, the owners were much more violent in the plantations. There we have an old lady rather attentive to uncle remus, and at the end, a poignant scene where the little boy, who is dying, asks in his last breath for a story about uncle remus... it's really very moving because even if his father abandoned him, he found refusal with the stories of mister rabbit
I know it is much deeper than this but what does this ride have against people of color like it makes me so upset I know there's higher standards with everything these recent years, but it just sucks that along with it one of the most beloved rides in the world has to go
@redzrobinz3135 No he didn't. I think a lot of the critiques within the video were petty and invalid under a little more research. I do believe that the minstrel songs were inexcusable to be apart of the attraction, but in that I believe they should have been removed, not the whole ride
I am sincerely going to miss hearing this being played when going to Disney, it was certainly the biggest highlight of my trips…
Same. I'm heartbroken.
My poor laughing place. I’ll never forget you. 😢
The music naturally pulled you towards the ride, it was really like a laughing place
‘All I Want’ is a treasured song at the park to me. I’m gonna miss it tremendously…😭😭😭
Same
Same I came to this video just for that part. Very nostalgic for some reason

I like hearing let the rain pour down. Its relaxing when I’m sad
The truly good things can’t really stay forever 😞
19:25 this is what I always hear and this is why I’m here.
Me too!!!
It’s a good one!!
It's my favourite and its why I am here on this video too
I heard it in line yesterday and came looking for it! It’s almost haunting.
@@rrccola yep, it comes from song of the south. In the movie that Song is meant to be sad in the scene it was in
This is the music that always looped in my head on the drive home from Disneyland as lil kid. RIP Splash
I am going to miss this so much! I'll never forget it and nothing will replace it!
Are you LDS? So am I 🙌
Haters get evil thrills from destroying things that are joyous
The Best ride hands down and they took it away from us ….

If the song was racist, why not just remove the song instead of the ride. Its pretty stupid.

This aged well. Tiana's Bayou adventures reception so far is that comparable to Marmite. Some love it, some despise it.

😭 i *THINK* that sums up how we're feeling on Tuesday May 30th, 2023
Weird knowing this doesn’t play anymore…
10:39 'Carriage Ride' is fantastic. You can't help listening to this with a big smile.
It is! Hearing it as a brit in the queue when I was a child reminded me of the opening scene with aunt Tempy (we had the movie over here)
TYSM! I have been looking for “Sooner or later” for a long time 17:20
19:29 is the best one so nostolgic
Don’t have a good day,
Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah day!
❤
This version of “Uncle Remus Said” sounds like it would be played in Main Street USA
I agree! But i dont think they will because this movie is considered “racist”. Even though it’s really not.
I love how all of these are from Song of the south. Even “carriage ride” is in there. That was a short song in the film

Get over it lol
13:04 you can still hear this at the ferry boat and the monorail station near Disney World’s magic kingdom

Less gooooo
So don't retheme Splash
