  • Phillipe is interested in how architecture can provide a glimpse into how people live all around the world. He travels to some of the most unique spots and culture on the planet to see what they have to offer. Starting off in Bolivia’s Chipaya territory, he visits the indigenous community that survives off the shores of an old salt lake, thanks to a remarkable water management and architecture system that is adapted to the arid climate before making his way to Chile’s Chiloé Archipelago, and Lake Titicaca and Iquitos in Peru. He then heads to some of the more popular spots in the south, from the favelas in Rio, to Havana and finally Louisiana in the United States.
    00:00:00- 00:26:23 Chipaya, Bolivia
    00:26:24-00:52:33 Chiloé, Chile
    00:52:34- 1:18:44 Lake Titicaca, Peru
    1:18:45- 1:44:54 Iquitos, Peru
    1:44:55- 2:10:43 Rio, Brazil
    2:10:44- 2:36:30 Havana, Cuba
    2:26:31- 3:02:34 Louisiana, USA

I'm glad to see the solidarity in the form of "minga" . In the Northeastern Aurès region of Algeria we called Twiza , people help each other in times of needs : harvest crops, build or repair a house, fix , a road, .... This tradition keeps the community a solid unit, whose members look after each other.

This is the beauty of life....simplicity , freedom, connection with nature and community , finding the happiness in small things....
As I am becoming older , I realize the value and importance of happiness in totally different way ......perhaps in some other life.
Thank you for such beautiful documentary !!!!!Looking forward to see them all!!!! My best wishes.❤

I lived in a typical brick ranch house in the US but now live in a modern concrete home in Mexico. I look forward to the day when I own a little piece of land here in Mexico and can build my own home using natural materials in the campo. My plan is to be an adobe/cob house that's totally self sufficient and off grid

For the FAVELAS .... they don't own the land... She has money to renovate her house. So it is a free for all, second they don't pay for electricity and cable. Providencia has a dark side , they did not wanted to show that side. They have the best view in the Favelas.
