- HOW MUCH DOES BOOST AND POWER CHANGE WHEN YOU CHANGE DISPLACEMENT? IS THE HIG-RPM 4.8l BETTER FOR VORTECH BOOST THAT THE 6.0L? LET'S TALK TECH AND MAKE SURE TO VISIT RICHARDHOLDENERPERFORMANCE.COM FOR GREAT DEALS ON LS PERFORMANCE.
You da man Richard!!! thanks for all the testing you do!!! Love seeing the lq4 6.0 truck Norris stuff
Three months ago, my buddy had a new high country with a 6.2. The engine blew, the dealer told him there were no engines national wide to replace it. He did get it replaced three weeks later.
That’s true that pressure is commonly misunderstood for flow but in reality it’s the resistance to flow that causes pressure. We have to tell our customers when we clean water plant intakes we use “velocity” to push the clogs out not pressure.
5.3 is definitely the most common Richard I’ll go to my local junk yard and do a tally lol. Especially my personal junk yard it’s only 5.3s lol
Amen 🙏 Mot0r stuff. A...2...BE EXCITED . PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Thank you YES PLEASE DO IT
have you ever done a test of 2 different displacements with the same top end? like the SAME cam/heads/intake on a 4.8 and a 6.0. would they make close to the same peak power, but at very different rpm?
see the stock 4.8L vs 5.3L-same heads, cam and intake (the smaller motor makes less power everywhere
Hey rich! I have a 5.3 lm7 I am putting a turbo kit on. Aiming for 1000-1200hp. I have the 706 heads that came with the motor but compression will be at 10.8:1 with the summit pistons i unfortunately chose instead of flat tops. I have a set of 241 heads here i can use with ls9 gaskets to drop to 9.9:1 compression. Planning on flex tune as e85 at the pump is kind of rare here. Do you think i should run lower compression ratio for safety when on premium unleaded? How much smaller tuning window is it at 11:1 compression on pump fuel? Probably won't be doing a lot of street Miles, maybe a few cruises a year plus off street racing on e85
you need a different (flat top or dish piston) a dome is a bad idea for flame travel and compression.
I have a 4.8 in my truck gonna pull it and put iny 03 cts , what do you suggest for a somewhat mild romper?
AT LEAST CAM AND SPRINGS-GO TO RICHARDHOLDENERPERFORMANCE.COM AND GET A LOW BUCK TRUCK CAM (YOU WILL NEED INJECTORS TOO)
Richard do you know any honest engine builder. On the east coast or in Charlotte N.C. or do build engine for people
4.3 with a turbo? Twin turbo? Have you tested any?
yes-those vids are up
Anyone can build a boosted engine and make power.
Not everyone can build a NA engine and make really good power. Especially small cubic inch engines
and every built na motor loses to a boosted motor
the 3rd gen coyote is proof......well, in regards to your statement of the godzilla in relatives....that their is in fact replacement for displacement .
RPM is the replacement for displacement 😅
Gotta hand it to Ford that lil SOB RIPS !!! I would think that would make the chevy boys get busy . Nope they look for bigger not efficency of their design . That bothers me a great deal . Ford deffinately figured something out thats Very Important !!! I realize that 4 cams overhead phaseable are a Big Deal . But dam guys we Cant let that coyote run away with the whole dam show . Obviously when a 355 can make a 1, 000 hp na for nascar and has for 20 years theres a Ton we Dont Know .
A 5.5 liter coyote has more potential than a 5 liter coyote. So, no.
@@DastardlyDeedsDoneDirtCheap thats not a qualified answer, just say 6.2 at that point, the fawking thing is physically larger then the 7.3 in some dimensions...the cam phasing is a large part of it....imagine an 8 liter coyote. make the block the length of the 7.3....and there ya go.
@bobbywalter5320 yikes. The point is there is no replacement for displacement.
