They;re still rather mundane, I'm afraid. Bit Dark Angels wiped me out last week, so I am going for some bite size snacks while I recover. See if that is ok with the brotherhood. We don;t need a banquet every time, eh? Doing the waaarg shouting was hilarious. I had to enlist Baldermort jnr to get it done. No idea what the neighbours will think, but I;m usually quite sedate. :) All I can say is that I am desperately trying to make up for a total lack of experience with buckets of exuberance. I hope its hitting the spot. Thanks for listening, brother. :)
@@Baldermort true, the waarg was a bit off, bit I was really happy about the addition of the chainsaw and the powerglove effects. Also actually learned something as I didn't know that the crimson fist were the original poster boy of rouge traders.
@@Baldermort I like the idea of having live voice acting, but I feel like something like a waaarg should be taken from an actual video game waaarg like in space marine, ultrasmurf edition. But that is just my opinion. I'm kinda a bit split with the waaarg. I like the idea of the live voice acting, but the exicution was kinda off.
I’ve seen a tweet from actor Danny Treju (Machete, Desperado, From Dusk Til Dawn) with his head pasted over Pedro Kantor’s saying much he’d like to play him. Now that would be cool.
As a gentle listener relatively new to the hobby and who enjoys your videos on regular painting days. Hearing the history is very cool, and as a dedicated ork player it's good to hear da Boyz have been KRUMP'EN since day one.
Brother, the Orks (previously Krork) have been krumpin for millions of years before we humans were even standing upright! GO watch my 'Secret history of the Orks.' Its a bit rough - as it was earlier in my stint, but its one of my favourites. You may well love it. (Crosses fingers) Thanks for watching, brother. :)
Thanks, boss. :) Still trying hard to get more work done. Not easy. I feel I;m just being repetitive. Fraud theory I guess. But I do enjoy it, so no harm done. :)
Well, we may as well enjoy ourselves a little with these videos I think now. There's so much stern and serious stuff out there, lets just have some fun! :) I just couldn't help myself. I was looking for art and found that gorgeous picture. I sincerely hope he doesn't mind. But what a beauty he produced. :) Thanks for listening, brother Joel. Always. :)
Hi AMW. Yes! I will definitely be doing the Deathwatch, but I am trying to get a couple of snacks out first. If its not with you by mid Feb, kick me. But DW are coming as soon as I feel I have the skills for that one. Thanks for listening, brother. :)
This video is what pushed me to start a crimson fists army of my own. Love the storytelling and feel of the videos. Thank you for always putting out fun, enjoyable content!
Jake Veith thank you for your generosity of spirit, brother. It means the world. I was going to get some more in before tackling the Imp Fists. Don’t want to over bake the cake all in one. But they WILL be coming. I assure you. Thank you for your patience in this regard. But they deserve a feast, no a snack. ;).
The TRUE Blue boys of the Imperium! With the Beast returning, it would be fun to entertain the thought of the Black Templars bringing the Crimson Fists on board to hunt down Ghaz. Wishful thinking... Thanks for the vid and work brother!
Rogorn Dal now that’s an amazing idea. Amazing. Imagine the clash of cultures, making the joint hereditary a point of drama. And the dufferences in styles and approaches due to their differing histories. Ok. No sleep for baldermort. Too juicy. :).
Thank you, brother. It was supposed to be nasty. :) I have considered it. The brotherhood have mentioned it a fair few times. I am exploring that now. I doubt anything will come of it, but I AM looking into it. Thank you for your thoughts, your comments and, most of all, for listening. :)
Sweet I am loving all these Imperial Fist videos, I re-listened to the Black Templars one while airbrushing my terrain for my warhamer games. I am hoping one day to build an awesome Imperial Fist army once I get down the tactics of Space Marines and improve my painting skills!
DO IT! Imperial Fists - of any stripe - are just amazing. I wish you well and hope you get that army up and running. I only play narrative, but I love my Crimson Fists. Just pure marine goodness. :) Thanks for listening, brother. :)
@@Baldermort Happy to listen to these great videos. I was actually testing out some color schemes this week on a test model for a Imperial Fist successor chapter. The plan is my red/white/silver successor, a third company with Tor, and Black Templar.
Well, respecting their power and their threat. Lol. I had to cut it down a lot or it would have turned into an introduction thrice the size of the lore. Which simply won't do. :( Sorry. Thanks for listening, brother. :)
Aserbic thanks, brother Aserbic. I hope the travelling has been ok. I also hope you mean just sunlight not another type of darkness. I in now it all too well, if you do. Hence the escapism. Thank you for taking the time out to comment when I know you have so much on your plate. Be well, brother.
I’ve always had a love for the sons of dorn and I firmly believe that the crimson fists are the most compassionate of his sons. Also their color scheme is the best of any other chapter, enough said.
A nice one. The day I had seen all your old videos was the aadest day of last year... You don't have any plans of releasing an audio book? Your writing is good, your storytelling awe inspiring and your voice....
Well, I try to put out as much as I can. Sorry. :( Erm, that could take some doing. I don;t have any writing experience. I've had about 12 books roaming around my head for about 2 decades but never had the gumption or time to get any onto a page. I will have to clone myself or get a tardis to get that done. LOL. Thank you for the encouragement, brother. Gracious and generous. Thank you. :)
@@Baldermort You really should consider writing, bro. I love listening to the intro stories you provide, especially the one for the commissars..."I am ASHAMED!"
Anxious Samurai thanks brother. But I think this is good ‘training’ eh? Three stories a week and instant feedback. Ok, it’s nerve wracking, but intensely motivating. :).
@@Baldermort That's true. I'm sure upkeep on your channel is more than enough work. But I love reading 40k lore and your stories sound like they were written by professionals like Abnett or Dembski-Bowden. If you're ever motivated to write a book, just remember you've definitely got the talent. Also, have you ever tried getting into Audio book narration? Keep up the great work!
The Chapter that got me into the game and the one I still love the most. I still treasure my old Rogue Trader book. If you don't like them now, read Rynn's World.
Bwahaha... Yes Brother Baldemort, I looked at it. Thank the Emporer you are not chaos tainted as your very voice would cause the fall to heresy. Beautiful model, that paint job is absolutely astonishing. As always thank you for your love and passion, as well as being willing to share it with us your gentle listeners. Have a beautiful day brother.
Happy to see love for the Crimson Fists! I only recently started my journey into 40k in the past couple years, but my first chapter has been the Crimson Fists. While recently switching to the Blood Angels, I always love the best Blue Marines and my tide of blue among my red and gold
5:30 They likely didn't have this in mind, but to the American eye, the blue uniforms, the heraldry, the cluster -- it can only be Custer's Last Stand in space. That resonates rather differently, which may indeed represent the subtle difference in the lore's affects on Mericans.
Which one? Alas, I am a butterfly. I don;t codex or hotness chase, but I tend to paint half an army, play it a lot and then move back to another one and paint that a bit. So they are all half painted - apart from some of my HQs which Mrs B Paints divinely - not that my damn picture proves this. Sigh. I am a dolt. :) Batrep might come one day when we can survive the crippling hit to the algorithms. UA-cam is a harsh mistress these days. Thanks for listening, brother. :) q
Dear baldemort. I once again find myself utterly and might I add, happily lost. whilst wholeheartedly, lost within your interpretation of our great hobby. PLEASE. Please carry on escaping us mere listeners. Kudos and much love and respect
Lord Baldermort, you have now given us most entertaining and informative videos on the two most widely known 2nd Founding successor chapters of the Imperial Fists: the Black Templars which embody Rogal Dorn's unwavering faith in the Imperium and the Crimson Fists which embody the spirit of Rogal Dorn's heroism. I ask that you look into my favorite and most beloved chapter, another 2nd Founding Imperial Fist successor, the embodiment of Rogal Dorn's resolute stoicism, the Excoriators. I ask only that you look into the Excoriators to decide if they are worthy of being the subject of one of your vaunted videos. You might be surprised as the Excoriators embody the true characteristics of Rogal Dorn...to dig in, to embrace pain as an inevitability and to find solice in it, to wear down a foe through attrition, to not be afraid to let the scars of war shape you...to win at any and all costs. I love your videos as I love my Excoriators. Thank you for you dedication, time, and hard work.
If looking for the most lore involving the Excoriators, look to the Black Library novel, Legion of the Damned. You can also look to any lore about those 20 chapters chosen to be the eternal guardians of the Eye of Terror, the Astartes Praeses as the Excoriators are considered the defacto leadership of the twenty. The tales of the rise, fall, and resurrection of Zachariah Kersh, Chapter Master of the Excoriators, is nothing short of being reminiscent of the epics and legends of our own ancient history. His life's story finds place among those of the likes of Achilles, Theseus, Odysseus, and Perseus that of being more than a mere man, but finding a way to prevail when all hope is lost giving his brethren a much needed path to follow. But, I digress. I ask only that you read the lore concerning the Excoriators as you have time. Again, thank you.
Thank you for the steer, brother. I have many primary factions yet to do, but if I have not come back to you by March - hit me up again. They do sound amazing and my knowledge of them is rather thin. So do remind me? Sorry it cannot be immediate. I think I may get lynched by the Tau and the Ad Mech if I do not do something for them soon. :) Thanks for listening, brother. :)
Space marines have and likely will be one of my favourite factions in the settings, but even I'm so new that I did not know the Crimson Fists were the first chapter of Space Marines ever depicted. Great video. In honour of this I think I will make an NPC or two from this Chapter for my upcoming Deathwatch campaign. Cheers!
Hey, I was wondering if we will get another video about the Tau Empire, I really liked the introduction, expecially that speech at the end, it really grabbed my heart. So I thought when you will make video about Commander Shadowsun, or whole Fire Caste in general, it would be cool.
Well, brother, I can answer that very simply - as Brother Zhou has also stated the same. Soon we have the Psychic Awakening. I will get my opportunity to wipe that tiny entry off the map. I don;t like it really. I was not very experienced and did not do the Tau justice. :( We will be hitting the Tau Lore as hard as we did Ynarri. Its going to be wall to wall Greater good. But I need to study up a bit more in preparation. But trust me, I sincerely hope it should be worth the wait. : ) Thanks for listening, brother. :)
I still have my first “beakies” I called them the “Tiger’s Fists” bright yellow and orange with black stripes! They were the “special” Crimson Fists chapter. Nothing was the same in my hobby world after that first purchase of Space Marines. Thanks for the nostalgia Baldemort!
11:50 Whenever you release merchandise, you have to sell both t-shirts and cups with this image and the phrase "LOOK AT IT" It will make anyone who's into the joke laugh until they break
"You have done well carrying them this far. It is time for someone to carry you now." Said Chapter Master Pedro Kantor himself as he picked an exhausted mother and her children to carry her to safety. This imagery alone cemented the Crimson Fist as my chosen faction until I die or leave Warhammer 40K
The model at the end looks like Daniel Craig. Great channel by the way, i much prefer the more immersive narration compared to the wiki reading servitors on some other channels.
It does. :) Well, it takes some time to write and put together and I am never sure its any good until it is dropped. Bit worrying. But I don't put out a vid every day. That takes hard work too I guess. Thanks for listening, brother. :)
I did consider doing an accent to make them different, but I thought it would sound derisive. Which is never ever what I want. The Spanish are a passionate and proud people. I would never want to inadvertently insult them. Thanks for listening, brother. :)
Ah rogue trader. I remember my brother buying it back in 1988. Hard to believe it was that long ago, but I remember being fascinated by the book and the whole Warhammer 40K universe. Loved it then, love it still!
What an astonishingly deep and nuanced word. English does seem to miss so much of the human experience due to the repression of displays of emotion. Thank you for introducing me to the concept. My life is genuinely richer for your comment. Thank you brother Yusef, you are truly a man of talent and wisdom. :)
That single piece of artwork from Rogue Trader is the reason I became a miniature player. Now that GW is making Mk6 Beakies again I'm gonna have to make a full Marine Company one of these days.
"-A figure reared up out of the smoke. A giant of a man, clad in battered armor of midnight blue and hammered gold. A winged skull in silver, covered in bright scars from the bite of bullet and blade, was emblazed across his breastplate, and golden laurels of valor where fixed to the warrior's puldrons and greaves. A 5th laurel, wrought in dark grey metal and humming with untapped power, rested upon the brow of the giant's scratched and pitted helm. ragged stubs of parchment fixed to the warrior's armor by huge wax seals fluttered at shoulder and knee, and a tattered crimson tabard hung from his armored waist. The giant's fists where painted the color of blood. And the right one, outsized and crackling with fearsome energies, was raised to strike. Pedro Kantor, chapter master of the Crimson Fist, reached the ork in a single stride and slapped the ork across the face with his power fist. The fits' power field met flesh and bone with a sizzling crack, bursting the greenskin's head apart. "For Dorn and the Emperor!", Kantor roared-" - excerpt from Traitor's Gorge. and my intro to the Crimson Fist
dagonofthedepths magnificent isn’t it? I don’t have a copy at the moment, so that was a real treat. Thank you so much for taking the time out to put that epic here for us all to enjoy. Respect!!! Thank you brother dragon. :)
"We may not be the Black Templars who actually just charge them back.." Hahahaha Pedro Kantor - "Yeah we're Sons of Dorn but we aren't fking crazy or nearly as fanatical as Ole' Siggy's Bois."
Baldermort has the perfect voice for lore videos, like something of an epic bard or storyteller. I believe, and I hope he or anyone else will correct me if I'm wrong, that I first heard him on ShoddyCast's Elder Scrolls lore videos. The first marketed Space Marines, successors to one of my utmost favorites, and yet Games Workshop wants people to praise the blueberries- I mean Smurfs- I mean the Gary Stus- I mean the Ultramarines.
@@Baldermort Right, so that guy just sounded pretty similar. Not the first time this has happened. I sometimes mistake voices as being someone I think it is only to find out it was a different individual.

5:09 they are better looking and more iconic and have a better name than the Imperial Fists or the Ultramarines imo. Though they do have issues with leaning into painting them “codex style” with different helmets for different squad types and all.

Another great video. I loved the addition of sound effects and background noise. Each video you keep getting better.
All I can say is that I am desperately trying to make up for a total lack of experience with buckets of exuberance.
What would improve the Waarg?
Yep. The 13th have been attributed a lot from the CF in my mind. But then, my mind is never that reliable. :)
I'm no veteran of Warhammer but I really love this chapter. The colors the story and there level headed mindset.
I’ve seen a tweet from actor Danny Treju (Machete, Desperado, From Dusk Til Dawn) with his head pasted over Pedro Kantor’s saying much he’d like to play him.
Now that would be cool.
kelman727 yes! I think we discussed this before. It would, indeed, be epic. :).
Newbies arriving all the time and the sheer fact is too awesome to sit on.
kelman727 damn straight brother!!! Say it loud and proud as often as you like. :).
That Rogue Trader got me into the game when I was a child. Thank you for reminding me of those memories, and the great video!
R D thanks RD. rogue trader was a great game. Not the same, but great. Sigh. Good times. :).
Thanks for listening, brother. :).
(Crosses fingers)
Thanks for watching, brother. :)
Great introduction Baldermort, just LOOK AT IT!! lol
Thanks, boss. :) Still trying hard to get more work done. Not easy. I feel I;m just being repetitive. Fraud theory I guess. But I do enjoy it, so no harm done. :)
"look at it!" made me chuckle, I know that feeling. thanks for the laugh Baldermort!
You sir make my work days enjoyable. I thank you gentle sir.
Glad to be of service, brother Monster. :)
LOOK AT IT !!! Lol you are awesome sir. I also wish I could paint half as good as that but sadly I can't. Keep up the good work.
Well, we may as well enjoy ourselves a little with these videos I think now. There's so much stern and serious stuff out there, lets just have some fun! :)
I just couldn't help myself. I was looking for art and found that gorgeous picture. I sincerely hope he doesn't mind. But what a beauty he produced. :)
Thanks for listening, brother Joel. Always. :)
Well done once more! The true sons of Rogal are some of the greatest chapters out there. Will we get one of these on the Deathwatch eventually?
Hi AMW. Yes! I will definitely be doing the Deathwatch, but I am trying to get a couple of snacks out first. If its not with you by mid Feb, kick me. But DW are coming as soon as I feel I have the skills for that one.
Thanks for listening, brother. :)
Awesome. When I seen the "first marines" tag, I had no idea what that was supposed to mean.
michael howell Lol. Just old history. :). But it was fun to do. :).

This video is what pushed me to start a crimson fists army of my own. Love the storytelling and feel of the videos. Thank you for always putting out fun, enjoyable content!
Brother! Once again you nailed it. You're videos are incredible. Keep up the good work! And I look forward to your rendition Imperial Fists lore
Jake Veith thank you for your generosity of spirit, brother. It means the world.
I was going to get some more in before tackling the Imp Fists. Don’t want to over bake the cake all in one. But they WILL be coming. I assure you. Thank you for your patience in this regard. But they deserve a feast, no a snack. ;).
@@Baldermort a feast I eagerly await brother. Every video you post is treat.
Too juicy. :).
@@Baldermort Ha ha yes, very juicy indeed. I figured you would enjoy playing that mental batrep in your mind's eye.
Wow, this is just the perfect voice for lore talking, intonation is on point brother. The emperor protects.
I love hearing your videos. Have you thought of doing voice acting? Your video on word bearers was chilling to me.
Thank you, brother. It was supposed to be nasty. :)
I have considered it. The brotherhood have mentioned it a fair few times. I am exploring that now. I doubt anything will come of it, but I AM looking into it. Thank you for your thoughts, your comments and, most of all, for listening. :)
I would pay money to have you read Lord of the Rings!
@@BohdanKaiba in a theatre, with a live audience, I would give my left arm for that.
Thanks for listening, brother. :)
@@Baldermort Happy to listen to these great videos. I was actually testing out some color schemes this week on a test model for a Imperial Fist successor chapter. The plan is my red/white/silver successor, a third company with Tor, and Black Templar.
Bohdan Bilas phenomenal! Good luck! I hope brushes and paint obey. :).
Nothing like coming back to the older videos. I love them all
I loved the pacing of the introduction story. And hearing a SM respect his adversary was a nice change :)
Well, respecting their power and their threat. Lol. I had to cut it down a lot or it would have turned into an introduction thrice the size of the lore. Which simply won't do. :( Sorry.
Thanks for listening, brother. :)
Great work as always. I have been listening but unable to comment for a while, for days have been dark as of late.
This is amazing. Immediately subbed.
Thanks brother Trippy. :) I hope you enjoy some of our other stuff. :)
Love how you went full fan on this one!! Lovely video as usual!
A nice one.
The day I had seen all your old videos was the aadest day of last year...
You don't have any plans of releasing an audio book? Your writing is good, your storytelling awe inspiring and your voice....
Well, I try to put out as much as I can. Sorry. :(
Erm, that could take some doing.
I just finished watching one of your crimson fists bat rep!
Ouch. Counselling may be in order. :)
Thanks for listening, brother. :)
What a treat!
Just a morsel to tide us over. Thanks for listening, brother Spekd, as always. :)
The narration makes the Crimson fists sound so humble and nice
While recently switching to the Blood Angels, I always love the best Blue Marines and my tide of blue among my red and gold
every word you speak brings me joy keep it up brother
5:30 They likely didn't have this in mind, but to the American eye, the blue uniforms, the heraldry, the cluster -- it can only be Custer's Last Stand in space. That resonates rather differently, which may indeed represent the subtle difference in the lore's affects on Mericans.
Great video, subbed! I'd love to see your army on one of these videos.
Batrep might come one day when we can survive the crippling hit to the algorithms. UA-cam is a harsh mistress these days. Thanks for listening, brother. :)

Dear baldemort. I once again find myself utterly and might I add, happily lost. whilst wholeheartedly, lost within your interpretation of our great hobby. PLEASE. Please carry on escaping us mere listeners. Kudos and much love and respect
A mate of mine showed me this video as research for my crimson fists army, now I'm hooked
The originals. The best. Welcome to warhammer. :)
Even we young guard of the fandom will forever recognize the greatness of the crimson fist.
Thanks for listening, brother. :)
You telling me to look at that mini with such intensity one you a subscriber sir
Cheers!
PRAISE BE ANOTHER VIDEO OD THE SONS OF DORN
LOL. Thanks for listening, brother Chaoticron :)
We will be hitting the Tau Lore as hard as we did Ynarri. Its going to be wall to wall Greater good. But I need to study up a bit more in preparation. But trust me, I sincerely hope it should be worth the wait. : )
Thanks for listening, brother.
Rynn's World is one of the best Black Library novels ever. Really gets into the heart of the Crimson Fists.
Of all the iconic imagery in Warhammer, it is that crimson fist that reminds me the most of when the game first came out, circa '89-'90.... eons ago.
LOOK AT IT! Such glorious work. The Emperor would be proud!
The Crimson Fists, the first ever known Space Marines!
LMAO "Look at it! LOOK AT IT!" You're hella funny.
"You have done well carrying them this far. It is time for someone to carry you now." Said Chapter Master Pedro Kantor himself as he picked an exhausted mother and her children to carry her to safety.
This imagery alone cemented the Crimson Fist as my chosen faction until I die or leave Warhammer 40K
why are you such a good story teller. dude it's not even funny how good you are.

Sweet the space Spaniards.
I did consider doing an accent to make them different, but I thought it would sound derisive. Which is never ever what I want. The Spanish are a passionate and proud people. I would never want to inadvertently insult them.
