In that moment he told me something like "we had to make it in a limited time", so without thinking about it I got really excited and just started playing the mod with my father and we had such a good time. Years later, when we were talking about gaming anecdotes, my father told me that, when he saw that I was very sad because I couldn't make the portal, he actually started investigating and found out what is a mod and how to install them in the game, so he just downloaded it and then lied to me about it so it wouldn´t break my illussion. I still remember this fondly, I think is one of the coolest things my dad has ever made!

This was my gateway to modding. I remember trying this and having it not work at all. So I did more research until I got it working, that opened up a huge rabbit hole… Twighlight forest was the second step but eventually I started getting big modpacks with things like Tekkit and NEI. Minecraft was peak 2011-2013 for sure. “Create” does give me a lot of hope though.
