I do like the way the Vamp looks except a couple things. I probably would have gotten one if they didn’t keep selling out in minutes. Why don’t they have faith in their products? It should have been a regular release, at least enough for like bbts. Vamp was my fav in 82 through the line, and Clutch was my absolute favorite because he had a beard like most of the 70s Joes. I already printed a couple good Vamps and they’re fairly outfitted. Maybe not as clean as Hasbro or the grid stuff. But lots cheaper 😂 works for me though. I do want to get a Vanguard in the future. Just an economic dip at the moment. Sigh. Food costs too much 😢
I’m sure can get find stuff to customize some light up for cheap. Betting others will do it shortly with tutorials. Nothing wrong with a dab of glue for those bullet belts lol. Cheers bro.

Really enjoyed this video and hearing your thoughts. I’m not a fan of the Grid Iron upgrades, the Vamp as is looks great to me. As far as the Vanguard, I love it in desert tan. With the .50 cal turret on top, it looks like a future forward “Humvee-like” gun truck, which fits what I want it for in battling the Swarm. The stealth grey one definitely doesn’t fit with the turret, and your idea for its use as more of a CIA/covert ops truck makes total sense. Look forward to seeing some diorama setups using both trucks! Stay blessed, one ❤️.
I definitely agree, this vehicle falls a little short of the price point. I love the model and the style, but the features are lacking. Definitely should have a pop open hood, a detailed engine compartment and maybe a few more features on the inside. I still like it though and I kind of want one for a custom. Great video. Got one Vamp and my Stinger is coming tomorrow. That Gridiron stuff is awesome. You can really change the whole look of your vehicles. The Vanguard is a nice piece, but @ $200 it should have an opening hood and working headlights.
For sure. Those features would have added more play value. Could set up cool night shot displays, or some one working on the vehicle with those options.
Solid point on the Vanguard roof accessories. It’s a real world armored car. Loose the gun and trick it out! Might be partly the fans fault for calling it a tank and skewing expectations. Honestly if it was a little cheaper, it would make for a good DIY starting point.
I think the turret looks more appropriate on the tan version. Still an armored car but more built for hostile warzones in the desert and fitted with military arms. But this is why I dig the Vanguard. The options are there in a basic set, with more on the way. That solves the issue of the winch, just replace it with any of the new front bumper parts coming out!
Good video as usual. I love Gridiron products, I’ve ordered from them quite a few times so far since I got into the Classified line. I got that rear gunner set and the roll cage and love it, I like how they make the platform and seat look weathered. I plan on getting a couple of sets of those tires you got…I want one set for one of my open Vamps and one set for one of my open Stingers. I like keeping at least one vehicle completely stock and then upgrade the other one.

I have 2 Vamps. Kept one stock and the other one tricked out with the Gridiron accessories. Copped the tan and grey Vanguards. They're cool but I would've rather some lights and sounds for the price. Definitely running low on space for vehicles.

For Valaverse's first vehicle I think the Vanguard is cool. Are there features left to be desired on the Vanguard, of course, but I like what we got for the price. Your table setup is dope bruh. Bit by bit I am slowing building my own table for figures and vehicles. That upgrade to the VAMP is really nice too. Really wish that I had backed the HISS Tank but I got cold feet on it. I plan on getting the Stinger too. I just think its about time that toy companies started putting out 1/12 scale vehicles. Now we don't have to search high and low on the internet for vehicles. Japan has had many vehicles but usually they were either sold out or no longer in production.

Appreciate your view and comments. I ordered from gridironstudios about two years ago for the alley viper load out. Great company, just really not my thing, but I'm glad I picked those vamp accessories. It definitely gives your vehicle a custom quality feel.
Gridiron kits are fancy luxuries. I almost pulled the trigger twice, especially after seeing the wheel replacements. Ultimately, it's either a whole new fig, or one nifty modification. Most kits I can't justify, the price but I can't deny they look cool as hell; even something as "simple" as the rollbar in back. Sad to see the wheel color doesnt match the Vamp, and the tires are harder plastic... seem a bit too wide.
I did a bit of math on them where if you were to get every single upgrade for the Vamp from Gridiron. You’d be looking at spending over $350 on top of the vamp. And that’s not to say you get the turret variants which adds more money.
I'll take vanguard over vamp/stinger if I had to get one. Got stinger 2 days after vanguard..100 percent underwhelmed until I realized they were 2 different vehicles. I got room for both. I won't be payment planning and vamp upgrades. But man grabbing them big wheels. Set-up is straight fire.
You know your 100% right. This looks great as a urban assault vehicle for CIA, SWAT or Night Force because that's what it is. It didn't need machine gun or missiles on top. I think the Vala car needs more paint. There was some chrome at least on the rims that would set it off. Some panel lining or a wash would really set it off.
Same. But it's an easy enough fix especially if you're an action figure collector and have to do this for Marvel Legends, Transformers, etc. Companies need to realize that a great sculpt is pointless if it's not even painted to bring out all those details.
i hope gridiron makes items for the vanguard, i have bought many things from gridiron studios and love it but gets pricey. I want to buy those tires best thing is whatever you bought for the Vamp will work for the Cobra Stinger which I just go in yesterday. Can't wait to open it.

I think that the hood should have been able to open as well, though it's not a deal breaker for me. It's just that seeing how the other parts that come off or move on the Vanguard can be swapped out with other stuff either that came with it or coming up in a future pack, this was a missed opportunity. But again, not a deal breaker for those who are using it as a shelf piece and more often than not, it's going to be in motion and driven with a group of Action Force troops following it.
The roof lights mount directly to the roof rack. They also are intended to hang down. Those two brackets you put the lights on are to mount Grid Irons backpacks to the rear roll bar.
I can’t say it enough, that table is so dope!!! Do you wish we had stuff like this when we were kids? We were too broke to have it but man it would have been so awesome! I remember cutting up cardboard boxes and using any kind of tape I could find to make rooms and anything that worked as a playset. I've watched all of the major reviews and knew full well what I was getting into when I ordered mine, but I had to have one of the muddy versions of the Vanguard
I wish that Billion Dollar Company would do a payment plan for their Haslabs. $50 Bucks a month would be Kool. You figure six months of payment then six months of interest earned. Also too they be leaving a lot of money on the table by wanting monies up front. I'm not for all the accessories but we felt the same about them tires. I have to look into them.
It's ten months' payment and two months interest .Vangaurd was $190, and by the end of the year, $230. Not bad over a years time. It would be good if haslab had that option.
Good review on both. I’m with you on the Vanguard. Got it just for the standard look. I do think if it had of came with the other wheels it would’ve made it pop more. Plan on painting mine black. And that upgrade kit for Gridiron is just 🔥didn’t get a Vamp, but the Stinger is on the way.
I did the same lol. Not sure why they didn't realize this when designing this weapons system. It's nice if it's just there, but you go to try and mess with it or have a figure hold it and it falls apart asap.

Gridiron draws me in just a little more each purchase. I bought the big tires. I had already got some doors from Etsy along with a platform in back to stand a gunner. I’m curious what special mods they offer for Stinger. I want a mean brush guard upgrade, bigger spikes. I’d be curious how they can redesign the back. That back roll cage is sweet. I may pick it up. The jack and spare for those tires looks good. I didn’t like skeleton doors. The open look is okay. I’ve got two VAMPs so one is my upgrade guinea pig. The other I leave as is. It’s fun to upgrade but I’ve put a limit. It can’t cost more than the vehicle. So I’m ok. I have another $40 I can spend on the VAMP. I did the same with Stinger. I have two. One to play around with. The other to stay as is. May start with new tires. I may wait to see what else they come up with.
I think those tires would look good on stinger with brush gaurd, and that's it. That's pretty much what I'm going to do. The stinger looks sick on its own. Can't wait to get one.
I will be getting some Gridiron stuff... when I get my bonus... but that vanguard looks a dud for the price. It just cements my disdain for Vala who I've had an off-putting interaction years ago.

I wish that Billion Dollar Company would do a payment plan for their Haslabs. $50 Bucks a month would be Kool. You figure six months of payment then six months of interest earned. Also too they be leaving a lot of money on the table by wanting monies up front. I'm not for all the accessories but we felt the same about them tires. I have to look into them.
It's ten months' payment and two months interest .Vangaurd was $190, and by the end of the year, $230. Not bad over a years time. It would be good if haslab had that option.

Good review on both. I’m with you on the Vanguard. Got it just for the standard look. I do think if it had of came with the other wheels it would’ve made it pop more. Plan on painting mine black. And that upgrade kit for Gridiron is just 🔥didn’t get a Vamp, but the Stinger is on the way.

I did the same lol. Not sure why they didn't realize this when designing this weapons system. It's nice if it's just there, but you go to try and mess with it or have a figure hold it and it falls apart asap.

Gridiron draws me in just a little more each purchase. I bought the big tires. I had already got some doors from Etsy along with a platform in back to stand a gunner. I’m curious what special mods they offer for Stinger. I want a mean brush guard upgrade, bigger spikes. I’d be curious how they can redesign the back. That back roll cage is sweet. I may pick it up. The jack and spare for those tires looks good. I didn’t like skeleton doors. The open look is okay. I’ve got two VAMPs so one is my upgrade guinea pig. The other I leave as is. It’s fun to upgrade but I’ve put a limit. It can’t cost more than the vehicle. So I’m ok. I have another $40 I can spend on the VAMP. I did the same with Stinger. I have two. One to play around with. The other to stay as is. May start with new tires. I may wait to see what else they come up with.
I think those tires would look good on stinger with brush gaurd, and that's it. That's pretty much what I'm going to do. The stinger looks sick on its own. Can't wait to get one.
