@@teohontech7141 actually I meant from your video I still don't have the mini yet I'm considering to buy one soon. I think I will wait for a few weeks.
It’s actually more obvious in real life than what my video can accurately show
I didn't see it either until I went to someone else's video about the Samsung tablet that had the same thing. Looks kind of like a wavy effect.
For higher prices their quality seems to get worse each year!
Add peanut butter, fold in half and you get that pbj mini sandwich.
btw, it’s overpriced and underwhelming.
Few hundred more and you get 11 Pro.
Glad that I've bought a Samsung tablet (Tab S4) instead of iPad. Still rocks till this day
I have the new Mini and I don’t see that AT ALL! I remember watching videos comparing iPhone 12 Pros to random Android phones with 120 refresh and saying like wtf? My iPhone does not stutter or scroll glitchy like that. Quite a few people pointed out playback at 120 refresh rates is good at capturing 120 and makes 60 look terrible. Mix-matching the video recording, rendering and playback speeds also will affect how the image looks to viewers.
Damn after any 90 120 hz phone any iphone with old technology 60hz display is sluggish jelly slime no wonder why u cant noticed it on mini. U will see it after modern iPhone Pro immediately.
@@serraxer you guys are ridiculous. 120hz isn’t faster, it’s more an optical illusion. Mainly it’s the PROCESSOR that determines how fast and zippy your device will be. The iPhone is faster than anything Android offers. Enjoy your magic trick.
@@sharonb.9128 I dont speak about faster, I am more about fluid transitions without jittering. I have M1 iPad 120hz it is awesome, 60 hz is obsolete junk have no idea how iphone users tolerate it for years by now.
In the android section no one cares. There is a bug. Maybe we fix this in 2023.
There are so many options in the Android world. You don’t have to buy the tablet with problems
@@teohontech7141 Yes you are right. I love the advantages of android. But if there is a tiny bug in the iOS system all Media will talk about. So the bug fixing is much faster. I think next month the iPad Mini scrolling bug is fixed. An another example: "OMG Whatsapp is not running at 120Hz on the iPhone 13 pro." Its not a big deal but everyone talks about and Facebook will fix this small issue soon.
@@Crustenscharbap Apple has said that it's normal LCD behaviour arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/09/2021-ipad-mini-suffers-from-uneven-jelly-scrolling-in-portrait-mode/
I ordered already the 256 5g version. Hopefully this can be fixed 🤪
No, all the top tech reviewers are saying its hardware, therefore cannot be fixed. Until iPad Mini 7 that is. :D
Ipad has now arrived here. Actually, it is not really noticable when you dont know its there. For me personally it is not an issue.
i don't see a single problem there.
i wish i had that device right now LMAO
this is stupid. something to complain about for nothing…
If the effect is not obvious, no one would complain about it. I've used many tablets and this is the most obvious screen tear effect I've ever seen.
@@teohontech7141 Let’s slow it down to 50% which never happens while you’re scrolling.
@@B41L3Y Anyway, bottomline is this: It's more obvious when scrolling at NORMAL speed in real life. When scrolling fast you actually won't see it because the judder from the 60hz refresh rate will distract you.
@@teohontech7141 I suppose. 😎
I just checked my ipad mini 5 (2019). Here the jelly scrolling effect also appears (i checked with slowmo video from Iphone XS).
However, it is only happening when you scroll vertically in landscape orientation.
Apparently, many tablets other tablets have this jelly scroll in some particular direction/orientation (at least on some youtube videos).
I think for the ipad mini 6,apple flipped something „upsidedown“ in the internals of this mini 6. maybe because they think it is more used in Landscape orientation now…?
Such jelly effect (screen tearing) is very common with OLED displays, e.g. Samsung Tab S3, S4, S5e, S6, S7.
And it usually happens in one direction.
@@teohontech7141 from what i have read until now, it affects all capacitive touchscreens to some degree (?) but I could imagine that on OLED screens it is most noticable due to the very fast pixel response time of these displays.
True. But Apple has made millions of tablets without this issue. So this is actually a visible, literally, downgrade.
My surface go doesnt have this issue so is my oled samsung..
I don't care. I don't live in slo-mo.
