@Joe Bloggs I'm confused. Since when could you not say the white race? I have numerous texts books from college, historical audio books from Amazon, and just books on books on white treachery. What other race sail across the planet to slaughter and enslave folks for rare metals? I must state not make their own people lives better, but to arm their people to kill their neighbor. But I'll read that Revelation tonight.
@Joe Bloggs I read from 1:1 to 2:14 and there's a lot there there. Without a historian AND a theologian sorting these passages out for us laymen, folks would be hard pressed to suss out the context of Rev 2:9. For instance, I was listening to lecture on Plato's Republic Ch. 8 and 9 today and the main theme was the oligos (oligarchy) of Athens. To summarize, the chapter was on money worship, the contradiction of money worship, and the eventual predatory degradation into "credit" (debt) Greek city-states - Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna..... . Smyrna is one of these said city-states. MY point is that the lecture shook me - even though our government is based on the Roman Republic, our present (since leaving the gold standard) economy is based on the Greek debt system that preys systemically on the masses, gradually turning a mix of economic classes into the few rich and the many poor - lending money they know that CAN'T be repaid and taking the folk for everything they have when it isn't. In the time of Socrates, people didn't get oligos rich by their labors or by accident. Thus, Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich). This is actually a snigger message to the oligos of Smyrna - they don't work, their money does; because of their reluctance to spend, the city-state productivity and future profits are retarded (tribulations); and enough money is never enough (poverty, (but thou art is rich)). The Synagogue of Satan statement is equal to the Evangelist today who made a pact with Trump, who is by the way the character definition (1 billion+ of debt due in two years with 0$ dollars paid back to the lenders) of the Greek oligos. The Jews of that time forgot their principles for money (at the folk expense) and so has the church in declaring Trump a god send. They both do/did Satan's work. What say you?
@MrGreyjeep More so than fortune I believe people today want fame/notoriety for some reason, or another cause many of them are not even making a lot of money as they are always crying broke.
This moment made me love TLC even more when I was a kid and I still love them because they were honest and they didn't sugarcoat anything about their financial situation.
@Cobb Knobbler it's the ignorance such as you that people need to refrain from cussing that person out. Nothing to do with ghetto and nothing to do with color.

That’s really so sad, kids now don’t understand just how famous these girls were! They were dropping hit after hit in the 90’s, the radio stations would play their music every hour!
Being born in 2000s, makes sense they not know. That be like me understanding the fame of Ritchie Valens with me being born in the '70s, even though yes, I love La Bamba. I can understand, but not as well as those present and alive and not too young of age in the '50s.

Your comment is a year old, so maybe you've had time to Google the definition of "martyr" so you don't sound like such a fuckin' idiot.
To live up to societies definition of "beauty" you have to have plastic and other shit done to your body and wear layers of makeup. It's very sad that people don't acknowledge nor appreciate natural beauty. It's only getting worse and worse, we're starting to see young females as young as 10, wearing all that shit, dressing, and acting grown because they want to be like these clowns in the industry. As the years go on the media brainwashed them and makes them feel obligated to do all that just to be noticed be everyone.
Seriously. A cashier at my grocery store literally wears a full face of UA-cam tutorial makeup on the reg.. Basically she looks like she's in day drag but just on her face. @Brèagha No. Don't blame society. It's statistically proven that women more often avoid conflict than men. Not because of society but because of nature. Plus "sit down, be quiet and smile" mentality is alive but also "men is supposed to provide and I'm a woman so I don't need to do shit" mentality is alive too. What does it prove? Nothing.
They earned my mutual respect when they refused to colaborate with R Kelly in early 90s. When all the MuteR Kelly came up, Chilli said: we mutted him 25 years ago when he married a child.
They had the worst deal in history. Beiber has made 100 million. Tlc made like 60 grand each during 1995-1996 when they sold 11 million copies in Canada and USA alone. They were so huge then.
Tobias Hørsted True. Record companies say things like "We're taking a chance on you. We're spending millions to make you famous. We get the first two albums and you go on to be rich and famous after that. And if you don't like it we got 3 more girls that can do the same thing"... A good manager should know if he's got a talented group and fight for a food deal. Sometimes managers are bought off by record labels though and the artist is truly alone...super shady business.
It was more "Take It Or Leave It", also they were so desperate and trusted Pebbles beyond 100% they didn't think she would betray them. The only Girl Group that came out of their Celebrity financially was Banarama in the UK who kicked the door open for every UK Girl Group that came after them and Girls Aloud who were bought together on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. Hilary Shaw was their Manager and did a great job. In fact Kimberley Walsh of Girls Aloud "Managed" them for Two Years doing it all, The Balancing of the budget, the payments, paying bills on time, and that was saying alot because the other four didn't know anything about Business. They weren't allowed to Write and Produce their own songs because of the Contract, but they made up for it in Commercial Endorsements like Nintendo, Samsung, Silk Shampoo, and Kit Kat Bars. They even had Dolls in their likeness. They did Solo Work as well but Cheryl Ann Tweedy became the most successful. In Girls Aloud she had 21 Top Tens, Four Number Ones, and Six Platinum Albums, as a Solo Artist she had Five Number Ones and Three Number One Albums. Keren Woodward who was once involved with Andrew Ridgeley of Wham said that because she and Sara Dallin wrote alot of their Songs, they get Royalty Checks every couple of months.
Dilara exactly! I wouldn’t of answered his questions. I would of told him to F off!! These girls are so beautiful and talented. This video makes me sad.
Seems confusing to me. You sign with a record label company that has 0 control of your finances. Their parent companies Arista and BMG took all the money and there was nothing Pebbles Record label could do about it. It's like how tech giants such as Amazon and Google buy smaller companies that have good ideas, All the profit those companies generate are now owned by the parent companies. 4

This is what Kanye and michael Jackson and prince was talking about. Levels to the New age slavery ownership. A rising tide raises all ships but the struggles are still the same as above so below. Learn how to be free.
The point was completely missed. Working under ANY circumstance for the benefit of another is slavery. Period. We are still under slavery because we own nothing and control nothing in this set up. The industry was always a slave and master economy. Additionally having to sacrifice the self or member to seal the oath in blood at some point when the master calls.
It’s slavery. Being owned is slavery. Record labels own artists and seek to gain more ownership over time through deals. Why u think prince and Michael kept saying “own your Masters”? Cuz that’s the first L if u don’t. Why u think Sony hated Michael Jackson? Cuz he knew his rights and knew his worth. At one point he owned 80 percent of their catalog which angered them. TLC should have looked at owing their masters and having creative control, before they signed any deal. They like many others probably got caught up looking at the money and not realizing where they messed up. I think that and other things contributed to their struggles and left eyes depression she went thru. To sell ten million and having nothing to show, they got got.

the people that made the money are the ones that took the risk. thats the way it works. high risk high reward. they didn't waste their whole lives just a couple of years. they have valuable name recognition for their next contract. if they didn't sell they wouldn't have been on the hook. with any boy/girl band they sign because anyone can take their place and most never hit. they were luckier than most. if they were good they would have continued past the contract and couldn't have done it on their own.

Pebbles their manager screwed them. They were signed to like 3 companies.
Same thing happened to N-Sync
Well they should have read their contract then
Tobias Hørsted True.

Which is TRUE (a good example would be 5th Harmony, Tinashe, or even Iggy Azalia) Even GUYS have to deal with this too like K-Pop stars but its even worse because they treat men and women in the K-Pop music industry like slaves (modering what they eat, not giving specific money, then being in debt, AND OVERWORKING them) which causes some of them to kill themselves because they couldnt take it anymore
tcfreestyler123x
Yes because they had good people behind them and working with them.
Not every artist has that
Aiden Snow she said 96 but yea
Chris Gonzalez u screaming for no reason. chill and take a seat
That "Helllooooo Lisa" was disrespectful
Once I read this comment, just by chance, that exact part of the video came on!
Factz. Underrated comment
ikr? so condescending, dude ur talking to a million seller artist not a child 😐
It wasn't disrespectful it was rude
same thing.
Respect! That was honest and still classy. Cardi b and nicki minaj need to take notes, thats how you behave in public even when youre angry.
wtf does nicki have to do with this
Aneshia Dixon baby only Cardi participated in that moment
Aneshia Dixon stfu 👀
Jessey Boe exactly I keep seeing ppl bring her up
Aneshia Dixon it was a different time, do you think it was better in the late nineties? I do.

Who was their manager? S/he had the nerve to give dirty looks after robbing them. lol
R & B artist Pebbles
PEBBLES..always hated that bitch
@@SpikyDane No I did some digging. It was chick named Pebbles who used to be a singer back in the day. She became their manager and robbed them clean. This little bit of info from her bio says a lot about the kind of person she is: "Her second marriage was to Oakland contractor George L. Smith from 1985 until 1987. The relationship began as an affair when Smith's wife of twenty years Darlene was battling cancer. While married, Pebbles began having an affair with L.A. Reid, which led to her divorce from Smith."

I believe a show called VH1 said they were only making 40 thousand a year at the time of this interview. While album sales, tours, and merchandise was profiting over 100 million dollars. They saw none of it.
The show was "Behind the Music"; the channel, VH1.
@@andrewbloom7637 Thanks Bloom for the correct information.
They should've NEVER signed those contracts without a lawyer present or a REAL manager looking out for their interest solely
@@stevenotes2929 yes sir, you are so right! They never read the fine print in the contract.
@@stevenotes2929 This was the 90’s and a majority of these black artist couldn’t afford a lawyer. They hear and see big numbers and sign a the dotted line.
This is what Kanye and michael Jackson and prince was talking about. Levels to the New age slavery ownership. A rising tide raises all ships but the struggles are still the same as above so below. Learn how to be free.
This is nothing like slavery. As unfairly as they were treated, I’d bet they’d do it all over again rather than experience American slavery.
@@kewlgurrl Amen,,
True to the bone, aint nothing like that!

@Mikey moo hmm I thought they’re getting way more than that on streets it’s just that Spotify and apple aren’t sending the artist all the money the earn?
Yo they really owned the 90s for real
And super sexxy too! 🤤
My era!
How? They had one hit.
Robert Kraft maybe those were hits where you lived, in europe they were pretty much only known for waterfalls, and maybe that no scrubs song. They certainly didn't 'own the nineties' over here. You made me laugh too with that.
Well you live in Europe you dumb fuck lol.
I will love TLC not only for their talents, music and how super cool they made girls feel in the 90's but also because of this. They had class. They were from the hood streets and you can tell they want to go off and say how they truly feel and whose behind it but they hold back and just say what's necessary.
the girl on the right is like the middle one's anger translator
Obama's speech was awesome
She's called T-Boz.
@Gizzmose2002 it's a joke form key and peele tv show. Look it up! Don't take the internet so serious bro...
How about all of you STFU about Obama on a post about fucking hip hop music dumbasses, you don't see minorities commenting on country music vids about how Trump is a POS & his wife used to be an escort...
The girl on the right?!?! Just don't speak on things that you don't know about
They broke because they didn’t sell their souls.
the people that made the money are the ones that took the risk. thats the way it works. high risk high reward. they didn't waste their whole lives just a couple of years. they have valuable name recognition for their next contract. if they didn't sell they wouldn't have been on the hook. with any boy/girl band they sign because anyone can take their place and most never hit. they were luckier than most. if they were good they would have continued past the contract and couldn't have done it on their own.
Shakeem Guzman it’s pop music those souls were sold before getting in the industry
They broke since they couldn't negotiate contracts or menage their money, just an example of reckless spending and celebrity lifestyle.
Not to mention they werent exactly angels, Left Eye was 1,5mln$ in debt for arson, only out of prison since she was famous, rest of the band was up the ass in debt too.
I mean if you go around burning down multi million dollar mansions you wont be swimming in money.
its because they only get like 8 cents a record when they sell them for 10.00 plus.
they did unknowingly and that´s y they broke i think.
TLC fired Pebbles right after this. Chili and T. Boz, while angry, held their composure but Left Eye was pissed. Rightfully so.
Actually, they fired Pebbles two years earlier. But they were still contractually bounded to her.
That guy who said, "Hello???????????" and asked, "10 million albums, how can you be broke?" was so disrespectful.
Right?!?! I would've slap the taste out of his mouth, if he talks to me like that,
It’s the 90’s man. Just raw energy back then.

The crazy thing about it happening in 2021 is so many artist from the 90s explained it and you would think in the late 2000s they would stay independent

This is also the reason why tik tokers/twitcher/youtubers and instagramers are big nowadays. they have smelled the easy cash, and now every kid can transform themselves into....hoes.
@@GregorioStyreco wdym?

That dude asking for Lisa pissed me off. How dare you demand someone like that? I'm sure she wanted to whoop his ass and go straight ATL on him but she had to keep it classy.
Danny Jackson-Nelson she was from Philly
Its a press conference, with who knows how many people in there. Talking, lights, flashes, cameras, etc. How else are they supposed to get your attention. Tell us.....
The fuck? You think she should have make a special demand presented in a special letter. Shut up man, she call her cause she wasn't talking at all and she should cause she is part of the groupe and ect.
yeah, she saved the psycho hose beast shit for Andre Rison.
Danny Jackson-Nelson And that would solve what? Like they use to do Michelle Obama, they want to see what we are stereotyped as, and they opposite is what they got. That is not a definition or example of classy, that’s smarts and self restraint.
the 90s wwere NOTORIOUS for screwing RnB and Hiphop Artists....these folks were hungry and artistic and didnt understand law and got screwed cos of their ignorance. Its so messed up!
It was a bad business but it gave us good music! Now hip hop and r&b are shit cos they get paid millions straight away cheap downloads and UA-cam and other media's made music shit

how artists like cardi b earn more than these fine artists is beyond me. 🤦🏾♂️
Then its obvious she is way smarter than all three of these women
It's all an illusion. These modern artists tend to owe record companies
Cardi B could be a better business person. Don't get me wrong, I am no Cardi fan in the slightest. It does not, however, mean she is not intelligent or tough or know what to sign and what not to etc. You can't just be good at one thing and be successful, you need to have a variety of things going for you.
They was getting jerked with a messed up contract
Top Dawg So you know about these girls because of their characters ? Bitch please, youtube comment section is no miss pageant contest.
Someone needs to slap their manager. How tf they giving dirty looks after robbing them
Legally is how tf, they signed the contract agreeing to let the manager "rob" them. I'm not saying it's right by any means but you have to be able to see the business world for what it is, soulless and evil. If this was the first case of preying on the ignorance of others then I would feel sorry but I imagine most groups get swindled like this in their first major contract/record deal.
And if it wasn't in the contract and the manager actually was stealing their money left eye burned the wrong house down.
@@robertpistole7815 when they signed the contract they were still in high school with no legal representation. They grew up seeing poverty and didn't know any better. How is it legally allowed to sign a minor without an adult and or legal representatives present in their behalf.
@@katsparkles370 if you're emancipated, dont know if it applies to them though.
Also, and I have no idea of how music industry contracts go, as the performer the checks are gonna be to me, not the manager, not the company the manager works for, me and the rest of the band. I'd also make damn sure no one gets access to my bank account. If you do it that way then you probably cant get swindled like this.
Now if manager was actually breaking the law and stealing their money, again left eye burned down the wrong house
