    When in the hunting cabin with my dad we make a toilet paper stove in a round coffee can. You put a toilet paper roll in there, fill the thing with lamp oil fuel (clear kerosene) and light it up. Give heat and can put a small pot to cook

    Are both of those cans tuna cans? I don't think I've ever seen a tuna can with a wide lip like the one the top piece is made where I live. Apart from that this stove looks like a professional stove your buy in a store

    I love these survival hack type videos, i use loads of makeip pads and wax for lighting fires in teh hosue, i have the same small esbit stove that you show at 5:20, ive been using it for over 38 years, simple equipment like that last for ages. i use mine at the moment with alcahol hand sanitiser in a cup from a tealight, would be good to see a comparison of boil times for varipus DIY fuels, ive compared wax and cardboard tealights, parafin, etc, there are some very cheap fuels....

    You can optimise this model with a windshield and a mecanism to regulate air so it can run more or less hot.
    It's pretty cool to see you build that much with absolutely nothing !

    Stick a wick in the middle of the alcahol burner and it should be usable as a less flamable oil heater too. Much slower but it can burn a lot more oils. I've used that trick with fat from a chunk of meat and a shoelace stub before.

    • @LastBushSurvival
      @LastBushSurvival  15 днів тому

      Great idea! Adding a wick to the alcohol burner would definitely make it burn slower and allow it to work with oils, like fat from meat. I’ll have to give that a try next time! Thanks for sharing!

  • @joshcarlson5931
    @joshcarlson5931 21 день тому

    Well done. For the penny stove, I've found that fewer holes gives better results. The boiling alcohol inside increases the pressure of the gas and it burns more like a blowtorch on exiting the holes, achieving a higher temperature. That also makes it much better for cooking and boiling water than the paraffin fuel. You'll achieve a boil much quicker.

    Отличная идея! Карманная. Окопная свеча. Только нужно использовать.
    Не тампоны, не ткань. Это всё будет заглотать.
    Металлическую губку. Для мытья посуды. Комочки. Комочек с носиком. Их заливать воском.
    И такой же наполнитель, сделанный для спиртовых горелок. Или другого масла. Масло лучше использовать лампадное. Меньше запаха.
    И остатки масла легко выливаются во фляжку. И снова упаковывается.
    Остатки масла. Утрамбовал салфеткой внутри. Чтобы рюкзак. Не замарать.
    Если использовать накопитель. Железный металлическую губку будет каталистический эффект.
    Что спиртовую горелку. Металлическую. Губку для мытья посуды. Что что восковую, что парафиновую? Металлические наполнители из губки с носиком. Металлический фитиль будет гореть
    Канал есть такой Гордеевые. Занимается разными вопросами. И огородом, и так же туризмом. Муж с женой. И у мужа есть 1 канал, которым он занимается туристическими. Самоделка. У него разработанная модель горелки на растительном масле. С плавающим фитилём металлическим.
    Вот на этом канале изготовление металлического. Наполнители для. Парафиновых печей свечей.

      Thanks for sharing the idea! Using a metal scrubber as the filler is smart-it would definitely reduce smoldering and keep things clean. And coating it with wax or using lamp oil sounds perfect for a steady burn with less odor. I’ll have to check out that channel for more tips, too. Really appreciate the insight!
