Likely more true than you realise; this has unknown electrical tape (probably toxic) and cyanacrylate in multiple burning portions though the red phosphorus from the striker is removed that clear glue if cyanacrylate is a carcenogenic compound that aerosolizes when burned. I’ve been using cotton balls saturated in charcoal lighter fluid and dipped in paraffin wax for several years now. They’re easy to make and will burn for about 11 minutes. About the same thing you’re doing minus the pull start sparkler/sugar rock fuel concoction on the tip of your starter. In fact, if you have a reasonably good selling pill bottle, you can put saturated cotton balls of lighter fluid into the pill bottle and not even bother with the wax. I would imagine the lighter fluid may evaporate over a prolonged period of time. About the longest of had these in storage is maybe six or eight weeks and they worked perfectly fine. It’s just the ease of being able to make three of them inside of about 30 seconds.

@@littleworkshopofhorrors2395 - I’ve not tried the trick candle wax. In fact I rarely even use wax anyone. A good sealing pill bottle works really well.
@littleworkshopofhorrors2395 It's nothing to do with the wax with those "trick" candles. They contain magnesium powder in their wicks so when the flame is blown out, the hot embers from the wick ignite the magnesium powder, producing tiny sparks. This, in turn, ignites the vaporized paraffin hydrocarbons, which relights the wick
