If they are going multiplayer they should absolutely take pointers from Avengers. The combat was fantastic, the characters felt unique and the evolving story was a great idea. They should just avoid all the looter stuff and make sure to build the game in Unreal Engine 5

The fact they mentioned a "competitive mode" tells me that this might be more like dragon ball xenoverse, telling new stories within an established universe where you also have dedicated pvp modes against others.
I would love a super hero game with a destructable environment especially for Invincible, that way you can do the same destructive things.They do in the show, this is probably way to much to ask but an idea that I think deserves to be preserved for the future.

The campaign page is written pretty deceptively, but if you scroll to the Funding section you can find a link to what the $18 million is actually referring to. It was another investment campaign on Republic from about a year ago, it has no mention of the Invincible game, it is completely unrelated. It should also be noted that: 1. You are not investing in the game, you are investing in Skybound. They promise they're gonna spend 65% of the campaign's profits on the game's development and 25% on the game's marketing, but there's nothing holding them to that. 2. You don't get anything in return unless Skybound sells equity to a third party, and even then they get to decide whether to convert your "Crowd SAFE" into equity or not.
Idk where you’ve done your research but my uncle invested a little bit of money into skybound, and they sent him a custom hand drawn poster in black and white of all sorts of Skybound characters on it, and they send him monthly updates on comics/Invincible Amazon series / and anything else related to them, don’t be hatin on sky bound

They are trying to make this game a piece of every pie out there right now, And that never works out. They said it's going to be a story game AND competitive AND it's going to be like destiny with how much dlc it has. I doubt its because they have a vision that requires it. They are literally trying to edge the perfect spot for the news. Using all the buzz words to get people excited. I doubt its going to have a good story AND be a well though out competitive game. I think the potential of it being live service in itself isn't a bad thing - it can be executed well (minecraft,fortnite or Helldivers 2) however they need to be very careful, and Game As A Service could be good too
Also, I know there’s practically nothing close to a shot in hell of this ever happening, but how cool would it be if we can get Todd McFarlane on the phone, make a deal with him and have spawn as either a character or just have him design some skins. I mean spawn is a pretty big name that a lot of people like. Both parties can make some money out of this😅
I wouldn't mind a "Marvel Ultimate Alliance"-esque Invincible game. Just dropping in and out with whichever of the characters you want, maybe locked to certain ones for certain story missions. Thats what the gaming scene has been void of for a decade it feels. We NEED more licensed co-op games!

This is the perfect game it’s not a Superman game but a game where u can progress strength wise and it can make sense they have material long as there isn’t any annoying side missions and stories and be able to play as every character and do their story

The B-Roll is for the mobile game, and those are just the cutscenes, which would be AAA quality easily if that's how the gameplay looked. That's how Dragon Ball Sparking Zero looks.
I think that they could make multiple dlcs in the game. Sounds smart to drop some new content as soon as the series go on, telling the stories, i think. Way better to work on a good engine first then adapt, than making a "new" game that is the same thing 50 times, like naruto ultimate storm series.

Games as a service typically nickel and dime everything that they can and force you to play the game for way too long 4:04 to unlock stuff you already paid for. Both the Arkham games and Spider-Man had tons of free unlockable content. Games with expansion packs have been around since at least Starcraft and Sims.
An expansion pack is just a type of monetization method under the GAAS model. It's no need to overcomplicate it. We have a very clear definition of it already. GAAS simply refers to any form of monetization that is not the initial price of the product. Whether that is a skin, a story expansion, or selling shortcuts to in-game items. It all falls under the GAAS umbrella. A lot of people like to try to distort the definition to exclude games they like because they've been taught by angry people on the internet that GAAS=bad.

There have been enough successful live service games, most recently Helldivers 2, for studios to chase the upside because of how risky game development is

Online games aren't fun if the community is toxic and overrun by try hards. Having story based games aren't that bad and most people take them in to account talking about the writing style and how they like the character development that some developers have rushed over the years. Then I believe till this day that developers could make just as much of the same money without all these micro transactions. Its kinda ridiculous considering most games coming out nowadays that are AAA titles are 60 bucks. Which back then if you were born around the early 2000s you would know games used to be 20 dollars after time had past during the release.
Modern games have better graphics. And that stuff costs money. Akin to comparing a cost of animated to a Hollywood movie…. Yeah, CGI movie will need more funding.
Basic business sense. In this particular case the original project is the comic book, which was created in 2003 and ended in 2018. The Amazon adaptation of the comic exposed the franchise to an even wider audience so it would be incredibly silly to not take advantage of that popularity by doing new projects with the goal of helping the franchise reach even more potential fans. Especially video games which can take years to develop. There is no telling how long the popularity of invincible will last so they need to do everything they can to maximize it.
Invincible should be a game that stems from a multiverse choice-based set up. Put in a hidden moral system where you can change the world into you being an evil Invincible.

Its kinda ridiculous considering most games coming out nowadays that are AAA titles are 60 bucks. Which back then if you were born around the early 2000s you would know games used to be 20 dollars after time had past during the release.
Modern games have better graphics.
And that stuff costs money.
Akin to comparing a cost of animated to a Hollywood movie…. Yeah, CGI movie will need more funding.

Why do these franchises want to branch out to do all this shit when they aren’t even done with the original projects?
Basic business sense. In this particular case the original project is the comic book, which was created in 2003 and ended in 2018. The Amazon adaptation of the comic exposed the franchise to an even wider audience so it would be incredibly silly to not take advantage of that popularity by doing new projects with the goal of helping the franchise reach even more potential fans. Especially video games which can take years to develop. There is no telling how long the popularity of invincible will last so they need to do everything they can to maximize it.

Invincible should be a game that stems from a multiverse choice-based set up. Put in a hidden moral system where you can change the world into you being an evil Invincible.
