So many beautiful books out there. I am addicted to buying them too and have way too many. My first Edith Holden book is one I picked up at a garage sale for $1, not knowing what I had found. I did not do junk journals at the time. Imagine my surprise when I found out how coveted it was. I've bought several copies since, of course paying more than $1, but I continue to keep a lookout for it at garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales, etc.
You have a beautiful collection of books. I'm like you. I have multiple copies and it's so hard for me to rip them up. I just keep chanting "You bought this to tear up. JUST DO IT!"
Thank you for sharing your books. I too collect books and have a hard time ripping out the pages. Rip it girl. I'm new at this and love doing it. I loved your envelopes you did. I hope to spend many hours with you.
Thank you so much for sharing th ose very lovely books. I do own a couple of the Edith Holden books. But like you said these gorgeous books are addicting. Hugs.💙
Thank you for sharing this video and some of the books you have found, Climmie. I have several of the ones you shared and just found 3 new ones that are now on their way to me. ;) You're a great enabler. :D xo
Thank you so much! I have three of them and didn’t realize there were more. I love to watercolor and nature journal. I use to buy how to books but I learned to just buy nature books and learn off them. Lol. Edith Holden is great for that.
I have a book called A Lady's Commonplace Book by Dorothy Ridley. It's not all flowers but it has some beautiful image's and lot's and lot's of writing space. It's the only book I have that resembles the one's you have. I have been on the lookout for Edith Holden books but haven't found any yet. Mind you though, I have a very hard time tearing those utterly beautiful pages out!😜
Thank you so much Climmie! This was so helpful. I've tried going through a gazillion books at thrift shops, couldn't find much to use. After watching your video I ordered a Paperscape butterfly book and the Mountains and Moorlands--I am in love with them both!
Love 💗 all yours books... I’ve been searching for the books with the flowers 🌸 in them. I will now look for them on goggle & search for what you have shown 🤗. Thank you for sharing the information.
ENABLER ALERT!!!! lol, I just purchased a couple. Thank you so much for sharing. I absolutely love trees too and always find myself taking photos of them. x
Geat video, I have a large collection of Edith Holt books too and I collect the foreign text of Edith H books too as I love to see the different languages in text. Btw went to Amazon (UK) to look for the Nature Notes by Ursula Shepherd and the cheapest was £75 yet the US site carries it at $4, how strange is that? Warm regards, June (Coventry, England) x
What a collection you have. I am a new subbie and new to Junk journaling. I love it. I am also a single mom with a teenage boy! Whew lol. Any suggestions where I can find the cheapest Edith Holden books? I want one so bad! Been checking out your. Videos and I love them!
Welcome to junk journaling Kari! ThriftBooks.com use to sell them at a decent price but now they’ve gone up as I feared they would. You can check eBay as well. You may find one there at a good price. TFW!💜
Yes, they do. However, if you run the title through google you’ll not only pull ThriftBooks.com up but other vendors as well. Prices are given so you can comparison shop. ThriftBooks is awesome though you are correct. They get a lot of my pennies😆
All beautiful books Climmie, especially those paperscapes series , thanks for sharing! Instead of thinking about your love of trees and paper as a hypocrisy maybe consider your love of both, especially as a papercrafter, the amount of love and cherish you have of paper. It’s a way of honoring the tree. You would only be a hypocrite if you were wasting and dishonoring the use of paper...and that you most certainly are not!
Ladies, in simplest terms, you can resell the original book (no question about that, right?) and pages from those books. However, you cannot copy them; that’s why it’s called *copy*right. Including the original pages in a new/different way is not copying. One could (and people do) frame a book page and sell it; no copyright law is broken. You cannot claim someone else’s original art as your own (a form of copying), and junk journal makers do not claim books or pages from those books as their own. In fact, many create their own digital art for sale and use in junk journals, but it is not to be resold digitally as the purchaser’s original art. Hope this helps. If not, you may want to google copyright to see the definition.
Thank you for pointing this out to them Annie. I think that the uproar of copyright is a hot topic at the moment or at least it was and some people are getting caught up in that moment.

I want to go to your bookstore
How do you go about selling other people’s art/published art?
I'd like to know that answer!

Thanks for sharing. I am so afraid to use books as so many laws on copyright. Can you share your thoughts on this?
I agree. She is so popular. I can't imagine that it would be OK to sell her images!
Everybody is doing it though...so it must be ok.
