I had same problem, soldered wires and everything was ok for ....2 days :D. I think i screw the assembly part. People on videos make 3-4 turns per side, i count mine 15 per side, i mean i have around 30 full cycles from left to right - in half that is around 15, something is not ok with mine. I'm using com2000 DAV btw, a little different but i see the ribbon cables look identical.
@@lebecky_restoration the airbag wire is cut the horn is still working cause the right hand side wire is not damaged but even after soldering it, it still doesn't work Now I bought a com2005 and will change it The white wires(ribbon) measure resistance once cut and soldered doesn't measure same resistance and the fault remains
@@lebecky_restoration I see were you soldered it's not the same spot as mine , cut the small wire that goes to the airbag and after soldering didn't fix the fault maybe I have a faulty com 2005 but Im waiting for the part to replace it now

Hi. You did something wrong. Everything has been working for about 2 years.
Would this repair fix anything with cruise control not working and average cost to buy/amount of time or have a shop do it?
Hi! If you have soldering skills you should try to fix it!
Hi I cut the out side wire that connects to the AIRBAG while removing the steering can it be soldered?
Hi. If you connect the out side wire that you cut, will the horn work?

But I soldered these white wires (tape) . The horn and airbag have been working for about 2 years now. Maybe you have another problem?

Change com 2005 and look for another reason. Perhaps you have a problem not in the wire?!

my horn works but the airbag light is on, whats your say?
Maybe your car was damaged and there are no airbags? Please check if they are available and if the wires are connected to them.
