This man lead me to reading more books consecutively than I had in years. His writing style is something to be achieved. The tactical knowledge he gives the reader to make their mind the greatest tool at their disposal has had a great impact on my life, not to mention my level of coffee enjoyment, Anyway...Thank you Mr Carr. Since I can't shake your hand this will have to suffice 🤝

I love the details! It's one of the same things that always had me going back to Tom Clancy. Speaking of which, the Terminal List was the best revenge story I've read since Without Remorse.

Love the books Jack, one of my favorite authors and characters. The action and descriptions are awesome and really appreciate the detail coming from the author. What better than to have a SEAL write action.

For what it's worth I've loved listening to all 4 of the 1st books twice and have the new book on preorder and am awaiting may 17th. I am not a military man, But enjoy them immensely. I make a daily run from Dallas to Houston and back and they have kept me company for weeks.

@Jack Carr - you are far more kind than I. I would be offensively snarky at some of these reviews.
I am not a fan of BRC for several reasons (main one being I don’t care for the blends I’ve tried) and I do have issues of how and what has been said publicly regarding Rittenhouse. That has zero bearing on my watching your podcasts or reading your books. You are, in my opinion, one of the three most interesting and honest interviewers on the Internet. This podcast is reinforcement for my opinion. Who reads their negative reviews publicly? Who isn’t afraid of introducing a little biblical principle in their conversations? Few - that’s who. Thank you.

I would like to say your works are superbly written. The action is great, the relationships are relatable, and being fan of the 2A and the military I appreciate your insight and detail. I also understand they are writing negative reviews not necessarily for you but for others that hold their opinions mostly shown to be political none really seemed to attack the overall level of art that your writing is. Thank you Sir.

Author who writes similar work and has a similar background, here, and I want to extend my humble appreciation for you doing this. It may not be walking into combat, but our stories, worlds, and the characters within are the result of long hours at the keyboard. Having people dismiss them (especially when it's just to appear clever to other perpetual malcontents) is a bitter pill, sir. I can't help but offer you my respect for taking one in the chin without losing your cool. Most people don't realize how bad those kinds of comments can hurt.

So here’s the thing the naysayers need to understand. If you’re a Jack Carr fan most likely you are a patriot and strong minded. So in effect their negative remarks are unlikely to have any affect on current fans and are probably just making anyone who hasn’t read the books but is reading the comments curious. As a fan who has read all of the books and a medic who has seen some things. The violence isn’t graphic, it’s realistic. Mr Carr’s fan base are people that are probably gear people we like reading about new gear we may not have otherwise encountered. I would not have developed a taste for Black Rifle Coffee if it weren’t for reading his books and that would be a pity. Thanks to his books and podcast I have started paying more attention to current events, expanded my reading interests and picked up new positive habits and gear aka I have grown as a person. So if you’re one of the Negative Nelly’s feel free to put that in your pipe and smoke it. 😏

In True Believer, I found the parts of his time in Africa fascinating. I really like his detailed descriptions of all manner of things that he puts in his books - history, warfare, gadgets, weapons, vehicles. Other authors may just kind of gloss over those details.

Jack, I've only recently read your four books. No review here. I got introduced to you via a BRCC interview w/ Evan Hafer. During the Podcast you talked about being a voracious reader and spoke of several books I had read as a teen, which led on to the U S Army. Infantry 21 years. However, I retired in 1997. I have been looking for new authors going forward as most of my favorites have sadly been dying off. So I've spent time getting to know you through your and others Podcasts. Your books are good, you deserve your accolades, but, you still have some rough edges for a reader such as myself. Most recent example is Vince Flynn. His first five book gave me the same feelings and then he matured and found his rhythm. I see the same linear growth with you. I especially enjoyed your reverse John Mack trek through Siberia. Great homage! In my day, I had a deployment for training to Rhodesia and trained with a unit of the Zealous Scouts. So I enjoy your odd choice of mix in history. Your sense of conservation is appealing in your characters. I was a single dad raising three daughters and I cherish the tools and devices you give to your children as they grow and develop. Knowing of your special needs child I pray for you and your wife to have stamina. I want to say, you have smoothed out your podcasts, but if you can bring your reading lists back quarterly, I'd really enjoy that.

@JackCarrUSA While I can not make any claim to have served with you specifically, I can say that I served in the US military and deployed in a fashion that one might call a "force multiplier" for others in each branch's Special Operations or equivalents. Having served with many of them, there is a certain respect for those who have served, and those who are continuing to serve, regardless of their career fields. I've been a long time subscriber to this channel, and I have the "bell" set to "all" and yet I still have to manually check every day to see if you have put out any new videos. I only see this happening with youtube channels from one political side, so I have my doubts that you had any say in that happening, but I also was not sure if you were aware of it. Either way, Jack, I wish you and your family well, and can not wait to read your novels. I will of course keep an open mind, given our different career fields, focuses, and branches of service. One thing I wish more of those who wrote those reviews you read in this video would have done is kept an open mind to different points of view.
Thank you again, not only for your service and producing these novels, but also for putting out content like the videos here on this channel. Keep as safe and as healthy as you can, brother!

Like so many others here in comments, I too was a SEF (Special Educational Forces), 180th Landborne, Umpteenth Division, Night Force Ranger Stalker Specialist, but of course I don’t like to talk about it. I have top secret RUMINT (Rumor + Menthol) info about this subject, which is why I’m arguing with GEARDO’s online… you see, I went to different high schools with Jocko Luttrell, therefore have firsthand intel from his mother’s second cousin. Lived next door to my grandpa, who was Delta force in Vietnam. Reminds me of a story from downrange. Well, there we were... I had garnered so much respect and admiration that I was named Col. Fobbit. “GI’s” (General Intestines) would gather round as I dispensed pearls of wisdom, their faces lit up with adoration and smiles, cleaning my H&J&K M&M15-47 Black Ops Special Edition Super Sniper with Scope (4 easy payments & extra magazine!)… sometimes they would cover their faces and have little choking fits… must have been the Moon Dust… but I digress… what was I saying? Ah yes, I definitely know all answers to all aspects of this subject, and can clearly say that *REDACTED REDACTED*

I mean, yeah, we get a lot of technical information that doesn't really pull the story along. But that doesn't mean the story isn't relative and poignant. For my part, I LOVE the violence, and if anything, it's toned down a lot from what it is in real life. I don't need a pg-13 version of anything. If I'm paying my hard won money to be entertained, I don't want the punches pulled.

All Jack car books are fucking awesome. The small details people are complaining about are what make up the back story & pathways for the what’s to come in the story. The people with negative comments regarding that aspect are definitely entitled to an opinion; however, it’s an opinion many don’t give two shits flying fks about.

I looked forward to these books, because they were written by someone who has 'been there and done that'. It kills my suspension of disbelief when an author has the protagonist flick off the safety on his Glock or the bad guy assasin screws a silencer on his revolver...
So I was seriously disappointed when in the first chapter of the first book, the protagonist smells 'cordite in the air'. NO! NO, NO, NO!
Ugh! Come on! First, its a hackneyed phrase used over and over and over. Second, cordite was a small arms propellent used by Britian in the first part of the 20th century. So, no, the hero did not smell cordite in the air, unless someone was rocking an SMLE...
Other than that, I've thought the books were pretty good. 3.5-4.0 out of 5
