I get it why it can be confusing because it happens pretty fast and it is visual storytelling at the end. Loki was carrying all the branches of the multiverse because that were dying since the Loom was destroyed so Loki had to revive them with his magic but he can't let go of them because everyone on every timeline would die. Loki changed the equation.

Pretty much. HWR and the Loom had damaged the natural state of time for so long, that no timeline could survive naturally anymore. They now REQUIRE a Loom or something else to keep it all going. Or...they need to be allowed to die out and reality to start over from scratch. After all, I highly doubt One Above All would just let all of existence simply...not be. It would make a replacement.
That said, they could've hypothetically made the Loom scale infinitely anyway. It would've required setting the loom in a pocket dimension of infinite variation. Every time the Loom takes in another timeline, another variant of the Loom "appears" in another layer of that infinite pocket dimension. It threads that timeline into the rest through the other Looms (since they're all just one Loom in infinite layers of that pocket dimension), and out comes an integrated infinite "sacred rope" of infinite timelines.
That's all entirely hypothetical, but it fits all the wild stupidity of Marvel, and isn't prohibited by any of it, either. And it would've kept Loki free.

He isnt intentionally changing his costume with magic btw, my theory is that since loki is a god who has reached the appropriate level of actualization, he is becoming the very epitome of Loki; the one who finally earned his kings clothes and throne. They were given to him as proof of his ascension by time itself. And it also symbologizes loki becoming He Who Remains.

The costume during his last transformation is how he looks in the comics when he becomes the “God of Stories.” This is Loki becoming the God of Stories, allowing everyone’s stories to play out exactly how they want, truly free will, allowing branches to grow and change and alter to how the people on the timelines want. And he sits there forever, allowing everyone to write their own stories, as he protects them.

I love this ending even though it's very bittersweet. Loki's Glorious Purpose has finally has come with Loki realizing he could replace the branch-killing Loom, and therefore the Sacred Timeline, with something better: himself. By taking He Who Remains place at the center of Yggdrasil, Loki has become the God of Stories.
When Loki locks Mobius and Sylvie out and tearfully says goodbye to them, he says the same last words he said to Odin right before falling off the Bifrost Bridge and seemingly dying: “I could have done it, father. For you! For all of us!”.
Loki's purpose is a glorious one, but the burden is completely heavy, where he is completely alone, unable to be with his loved ones ever again. Still Loki gets watch over them from countless timelines on a throne at the end of the world. No subjects to rule over, no family, no friends. Just him. His god attire isn't fancy, no gold trimmings, as it emphasizes the "burden" he places on himself.
Yggdrasil, also known as the Tree of the World or the World's Tree, is a concept used by the Asgardians to describe the cosmic nebula, with each branch or root representing one of the Nine Realms.

Just an FYI...that's pretty strictly a pop-culture thing. The actual mythos behind it never really specifies how many realms there are, their organization, or which ones are which, really.
There are only 5 very vague and brief mentions of it in all of Norse Mythology, and it's only because of a very questionable translation of the texts. They're very much stretching things to get it in there.
But the problem is, the texts never define what makes something a realm, or something else...and there are many many more places that are talked about in the various Edda that clearly cannot be parts of any other "realm." And there are WAY more than nine.
So, it's all kinda up in the air. Personally, I just ignore whenever they mention the "nine realms."

I don't think this is the last we see of Syvie, i believe she will be in future Marvel projects. But i don't think we will see LOKI anymore as he who remains is holding the multiverse together quite literally.

Coy Jandreau suggested that ALL of this is what Kang wanted. He wanted Loki to get overpowered enough to break the loom and become God King Loki (literally my favorite character and I never knew I needed this)...in order to divert more power and gain more control.
Whatever the case is: this is top-tier Marvel. I hate Loki's final fate, but I LOVE this Loki. ❤❤❤❤Great reaction!

It's not covered...because it would lessen the impact...but it's likely that Loki will not, in fact, be alone for all time.
Sylvie's TemPad can get to the End of Time, so she could hypothetically go see him whenever she wants. If she let's O.B. take a look at it, he can likely modify any other TemPad to do the same. So, really anyone at the TVA could go there. There are also other methods of getting there, that we've seen at least two instances of in the end of each season. So, it's not as if nobody can ever get to him again.
Also, it's even more likely that Loki can possess any of his variants at-will. He's literally jamming his power through every single timeline constantly, so it's very probable that he can just take over whenever he wants. Odds are also really good that, in his current state, he probably knows Sylvie's enchantment power now, too. Which makes the possession even more likely.
So, while they wouldn't get into it at the end here because they want it to hit. I don't think they'd just leave him there like that because of how unsatisfying the prospect is to audiences in the long-term. We'll see him again, one way or another. At least in cameos.

    I love the change.
Thor 1 - Loki is a spoiled trickster god, with an inferiority complex, who wants to be king
Loki Finale - The altruistic and humble, Warden of all Creation
I kinda hope they just leave it here. As good a send off as anyone could get

Loki created Yggdrasil, which is the tree of life from Norse Mythology that connects all of the realities together. It was talked about in the first Thor movie.
He created Yggdrasil to replace the Loom.

The show was fantastic, but there are several plotpoints im stil kinda confused about...
    1. ...if "He Who Remains" knew that Loki would get the time-manipulating-powers... wouldnt that mean, that he knew Loki would become the god of stories and replace his loom?
    2. ...also wouldnt that mean, there is a third bigger overarching timeloop, where the "He Who Remains" Kang-varient would at some point go to Loki insinde of Yggdrasill, kill him and restart the whole loop? -> creating the loom to replace Loki and mindwipe the TVA (remember Miss Minutes is stil there); Ravonna is in Alioths playground wich means she is outside of Lokis influence and can learn about Alioth and and try to controll him, wich she did to help "He Who Remains" win the multiversal war
    3. ...people already speculate that "He Who Remains" tempad was carved out of Lokis horns, wich is why it looks so different and is so strong compared to the other tempads... it inherits Lokis time-manipulating-powers and can manipulate people even without the collars on...

    • @zoc.6922
      @zoc.6922 10 місяців тому +1

for 1- I think because Loki was time slipping, He Who Remains saw Loki's powers were evolving. Just like season 1, he can only see before his death so all those moments before Sylvie killed him Loki was time slipping into he saw. He explained the fail safe in the loom because he created it. That kind of explains why he was fixated on the Loki variants in the first place. Also, it seems like Kang from season 1 was bored and wanted to give up.
for 2- I don't know about the overarching time loop however. Miss Minutes still being there may or may not be explained by the TVA fixing her or overriding her but, you could be right.
for 3-That could be true. Loki made a big impact on Kang given that he knew both Sylvie and Loki were with him at the farthest he could see.

    • @enightc
      @enightc 10 місяців тому +1

      Just to clarify,
      1) Loki changed the equation, instead of letting the branches and Kang variants go wild without a custodian, Loki is now a custodian of all Multiverse, so it won't get that far, especially with the TVA now is on Kang watch
      2) HWR only knows up to the time of his death, the only way he lives is if Loki kills Sylvie, in some version, Loki does , but in this version, Loki like NEO in Matrix, went beyond the programming and selected an option that wasn't available, he scarified his own freedom to forever remain alone watching over all timelines, one option that HWR never thought a Loki would do
      3) That is a paradox in itself, because Loki used the throne of the HWR and Time powers to build that suit, that HWR uses already, so its more of a paradox on which came first, so no answers there.
