@@mooonski Nah, that's the beauty of a recording that isn't of group b and made much more recently. I'm pretty positive about the fact that Group B cars didn't have an european plate 5:07 or that there was no gopro at the time 4:37
And it's not even a Twist, the title says Group B cars, not that it's actually group B.
@@Shalvus it means the cars belong to the group b category in wrc, doesn't mean the video is taken in wrc group b rally races

But what's the point considering none of these is an Evolution model? I mean, they have as much in common with a real Group B car than a scooter with a motorbike.

Thanks for getting these, there's not much rally stuff in the US anymore. Just the couple of events a year. I really love this and hope to one day join you all, either to race or spectate, it would be my pleasure to see such skill in action, from drivers and crews alike. When I see spectators so close to the racetrack, I realize that the 80s were the last time when European men had guts.
Because risking your life to see the same thing is fun I guess? Surely takes a man to not live to see your kids grow. It's also pretty funny considering a lot of these clips aren't from the 80s. I don't think I should have to explain why a Group B can't have an European license plate or why the gopro clips were impossible at the time.
This is modern footage. There are people filming with cell phones lol. And putting yourself in danger of being crushed if a driver makes one wrong move isn't brave. It's insanely stupid. So you're doubly wrong. I'm also shocked they allow the spectators to do this. I thought that's the whole reason group b stopped in the first place?

The sound on that audi quatro... goosebum. This is PROPPER rally where the drivers had skills. Today its more tech and less driver. Give one of these cars to todays wrc drivers...they wouldnt make it to the end..

Now days wrc machine ye are cool but they are all centraline tamed and underpowered beasts

I saw the stratoses (?) and thought "not a group b car but it's just as iconic.
How do stage times match up to modern wrc cars?
Modern wrcs are much faster, cars evolve
@@JR-Rallye that's true. Around around that time however there wasn't any limitations on how the cars were made and compared to modern WRC cars I feel group B took a lot of skill. Still, I don't blame the racers putting their foot down on FIA for enforcing better safety regulations.

Bring brack group B! Who cares what's possible within the safety rules? Motorsports is terrible now and I guarantee that Hemingway definitely regrets calling it a "true sport".
