- It's true that electric steering racks and pinions are becoming increasingly popular in cars. This is because electric steering racks and pinions are more efficient than traditional hydraulic systems, as they require less energy and are easier to maintain. Additionally, electric systems are more responsive than hydraulic systems, which can improve the overall driving experience. With advancements in technology, electric steering racks and pinions are becoming a more viable option for many drivers. #fordexplorer #steering #rackandpinion

The Milwaukee seems to have proven its performance.
Did you have to take it to the dealer to be reprogramed ?
Any link to the part, also is a 2011 Explorer rack and pinion compatible with a 2013 ford explorer?
Had to be the first to like and comment
I appreciate the support
I have a 2012 explorer . Lost power steering. Tractiin control fault and blinkers stopped working. Wondering if the problem could be the rack or something else
Did a great job, I’m doing the same thing to my brother’s truck now same maker model
Hope it went well
where can i get new exhaust bolt? mine broke the same way
Dealer or match up the old one at a nut and bolt place or take it to a machine shop and they might have one or can tell you where to get one
Will you ever livestream? I would love to learn from you live.
Yes, soon
Hello friend, one question, after replacement, is it necessary to take it for alignment? I have a friend who made a replacement, I don't have it aligned and the car runs for 30 minutes and it got hard again 😅
Yes it is. You also need to have have it reprogrammed by a dealer.
@@Chris.P.Bacon. Thank you very much, blessings to you
Alignment yes
Did you reprogram after install?
No
Didn’t last? I did one 2 months ago. Had a tag saying it would be damaged if not programmed.
400 miles later it failed completely.
That Milwaukee na play lololol
Lol NOO sah. You have to careful what you put it on
@@RastamanBuilds your videos and information is amazing...i follow you on all platforms. Great content always.
No reprogramming needed?
I did not
How long did this job take?
5 hours
donot need program ?
It Did not
If something doesn't come lose or break off the car is going to flip over😅😅😅😅😅😅
Did you reprogram it?
No
We say Alot of the same things lol
I would hate to do this on the ground
How many miles on your vehicle til you you need a new Rack n Pinion 🤔
How many bills🤑 for this job?
1.4k in California usa
12
bad exhoust bolts here in sweden is as normal as it rains in the uk 🤣cant get away from it even tho the car is new becouse of the salt 😭
😂😂thank you for sharing and letting me know it's not just me over here
@@RastamanBuilds no you are not alone 😂 btw i just came over from tiktok to support your channel keep it up man
In order for the nuts to be unscrewed and the bolts to remain intact, you need to clean the rust with a metal brush and fill everything with WD40 or brake fluid. And what is also important, you need to unscrew it with your hands, not milookee with a torque of 1000 Nm. Although this also does not guarantee that the bolt will remain intact, it increases its chances of life.😉
No programming needed?
Not for me no
@@RastamanBuilds did it have park assist?
Also, just found out, Ford has added a total of 10 years of warranty on these. Your customer could be compensated for this repair.
@@ryanc3219 Thank you for sharing. I will reach out to them and see.
@@WheelAndRimRepair Recall # 14S06 I'll be inquiring today as well
@@ryanc3219 They said it covers the Rubber Bushings only and not steering rack itself
What should this job cost at a shop?
labor should be approx $750 plus alignment
I know that's a bunch of BS you can't replace that bushing yourself or there's not a spring to tighten it. That's a 1500 fix
Rastaman. Hail I---
