Kato N scale track update

- Hi there railfans.
Today a short update on the status of my Kato N scale model train track.
Let the pictures speak for themselves and then enjoy a few laps around the track.
Special note:
The track is far from finished. I'm not planning any scenery, the track will just be a big yard with two loops running around it and two good sized reverse loops.
All the track needs to be aligned properly as you can see in the video and most of the yards end pieces need to be added and/or adjusted for length.
I'm open to opinions on how to make the track better or other suggestions as long it has nothing to do with scenery... I might put in some grass and some farm animals but that's about it. The track is just to run trains and play in the yard.
What I am contemplating though, I already made the layout, is a helix at the turning point of the upper level reverse loop to create a second level yard/running track. You can not find the upper level reverse loop in the video but the entry and exit points are mentioned. This is phase two and might not be executed, just playing with ideas.
Thanks again for watching the video, please leave a comment when you can and hope to see you back soon.
Have an awesome rest of your day. - Авто та транспорт
That is why I love Unitrack, easy to change up
It sure is. And fun to do as well. I actually like the designing part more than the building itself. Thanks for the comment. 👍🏻
Great job! I love watching your train moving around the tracks. Thanks, John
Thank you and glad to hear you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. 👍🏻
When Working On N Scale That Will Need All The Attention you have All N All It will Be Great when Done I myself Have Plenty of work To Do On 2 N Scale Layouts My Wife’s And Mine As Well But it’s Worth It.
It’s a work in progress for sure. And I don’t do scenery and still keep changing things. One day it will be finished. Now working on a second level as well. 👍🏻
Love the Layout.

George
Try again on a different device maybe. It’s still there.
@@RailfanReneit work now thanks subscribed
@@NHseacoast thanks for the visit and the sub. 👍🏻
This was shot with the RunCan 5 which I just put on a flat bed car.
That was a fun video to watch. Love the layout. What did u use to get the video. as in camera and how did you mount it? Thank you for sharing
Hey Mark. I use a Run Cam 5 to shoot the video. It’s a small cube camera. I just put it on a flatbed car of some sort with some weight for stability and slowly drive around the track. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. 👍🏻
I’m new to N. How do you wire the lower level reverse loop to work on 2 rail DC without polarity issues?
There are auto-reversers you can buy that change the polarity of the whole loop to the track you come from and then again to the track you go onto. One restriction, the train can’t be longer than the length of the reverse loop otherwise the polarity on one end of the loop will be conflicting. If you don’t want to use the fancy auto-reversers you can make your own manual reverse switch but that is harder work, the auto-reverser does it all for you after it is installed. So basically the reverse loop is powered separately and can be switched to match the track you come from or go to. It works best with DCC, that is what I use, not sure how great it works on a standard DC set. Google the term auto reverser and you will find some good articles about it. Thanks for the question. 👍🏻
@@RailfanRene I have been reading about them. I just wanted to know what you were using. Thanks for the reply!
Nice Amtrak Autoracks
Thanks OJ. Are you working on any videos? 👍🏻
