The only thing wrong with Jane Krakowski in Schmigadoon is that she’s only in ONE episode!
And the song is so short 😭
But hell, what a number!
And she played a Nazi woman
Happily, she's in every episode of Season 2 so far!
Season 2 rights this terrible wrong 😁
“Of course I’m a nazi” dude this line had me cackling
Why I'm not sure I get it?
@@leif1075 She's basically the countess from The Sound of Music
Same!! 😂
@@gwydionsamildanach5814🎉🎉
I can’t tell if she’s exasperated like “obviously I am a nazi” or if she’s offended “you’re calling me a nazi now?” 😅
That garter is EVERYTHING.
IDK the color-matched panties were something too...
This is definitely a big Kiss Me Kate reference (Always True To You In My Fashion)
Thank u I couldn’t place the song I knew I had heard before
I got excited and shared that song to my husband immediately after we watched this number and I'm so glad to be validated here haha
VERY much a Cole Porter reference.
Especially the flipped lyrics/internal rhyme (“Texy’s socks led to sexy talks” in this song; “Harris pat means a Paris hat” in Always True to You)
Man I love the uncomfortable and awkward dialogue in the beginning. And that stainless steel gun was just purrrrrfect!
Cole Porter would love the lyrics. And catch references to The Producers and Bye Bye Birdie in the choreography
I recognise The Producers, but which bits are from Bye Bye Birdie?
@@BeccaEve94 , It’s a fast pose she strikes when she’s in the backseat. Exact copy of a pose Ann-Margret strikes in the film.
It’s basically Always true to you (in my fashion) from Kiss me Kate. So definitely Cole Porter.
Jane Krakowski is one of a kind. I've enjoyed her since Ally McBeal
I only found her in Dickinson but I loved her in this too
She did it all in this piece
the way the scene looks when she’s holding the gun really makes it feel old fashioned
This women is 52 people!!!! 52! shes looked the exact same since flintstones viva rock Vegas. Just WOW 😁✌💯💜
I laughed at the obvious rear projection. A tribute to classic movies.
Jane Krakowski AND Kristin Chenoweth In the SAME SHOW!
Love...love her voice
I love "turns out horny Bjorn, he liked servant porn", and "and when Texy socks led to sexy talks" so much
If she’s surprised the countess gets a song then she doesn’t know sound of music as well as well as she thinks, where Elsa has 2 songs
She knows FILM musicals. Elsa’s songs were cut from the movie.
To be fair, No Way to Stop It only encourages passively going along with the third reich rather than actually… Nope. Nope. I can’t and won’t defend it.
She’s a Nazi confirmed.
she is so amazing
I wish this song was twice as long
She looks incredible! Just an amazing woman.
“Of course I’m a nazi” XD
This song is winner! As is La Krakowski!
"For I'm always true to you baby, in my fashion, Yes, I'm always true to you baby in my way." That's the song. Where is it from? "If a Harris pat means a Paris hat, okay!" Ah, yes, Kiss Me Kate! Bianca sings it to her boyfriend.
Darlin’, not baby.
JANE IS 🔥
This is such a Jane Krakowski character and song. She always plays someone with a fixed veneer of optimism and superficiality, and I love it.
But I am always true to you, darling, in my fashion, I am always true to you, darling, in my way.
Some Toms River realness right here!
The Legend.
Jane is a goddess ! ! !
Her performance was great, but Kiss Me Kate and particularly the song "Always True to You in My Fashion" is a big favorite of mine, and I wish the show had done a send up to it with a bigger duet, with a little more production and razzle dazzle.
Jane’s legs (and talent) are plenty of razzle dazzle.
@@randyseay4855 I wish it had been more in a version of my favorite number.
To be fair, "always true to you in my fashion" isn't that big or glitzy of a song
I hate that she hasn’t recorded Always True to You in My Fashion!
Shes giving ber inner Jenna Maroney in this one
3:09 OWIE!!!!!!
starts at 0:50
Jane Krakowski: Mame Dennis. Cecily Strong: Vera Charles. Kristin Chenoweth: Agnes Gooch. Aaron Tveit: Beauregard Pickett Burnside. Alan Cumming: Mr. Babcock. Just saying.
💞👏🎶🎭📺🎭🎶👏💞
@Eriona Pillow As Gloria Upson. Or Eileen to Cecily's Ruth in "Wonderful Town."
You can have a gun made out of stainless steel?
wait, was that an allusion to cabaret?
No, Kiss Me Kate and Sound of Music
These knock off songs only make me appreciate the originals that much more
IMO, there will never be anyone as brilliant as Cole Porter. Hes untouchable and my favorite of all time.
