My husband said he has being praying for a woman like him to Allah before prior to marrying him. Because we are from two different background, culture and race. So after we got married, one day I was like subhannallah how did Allah pair us together lol and he said, I asked Allah for you and your exact type in everything in a woman. Not sure why this video popped up..I was raised Christian.. but I found myself captivated by your words. 🙏🏽 unsure of some of the meanings, but still gave me a sense of peace & humility. Respect.
Could it be a sign from Allah i.e God?, that he wants to guide you towards the truth? In my opinion i think this calls for you to maybe try and look into Islam, and learn about not only muslims but also Christianity. Because as Muslims we cannot be people of faith without accepting Jesus Christ as the messiah, did you know that? God has told us about his miracle birth in the holy Koran, and how he performed powerful and amazing things through the will of the "Father" ie God i.e
Allah (Btw Allah is what we call God in Arabic, our understandings and teachings may differ but I'm sure you know that all the Abrahamic religions i.e the Christians, the Jews and the Muslims all acknowledge the fact that we believe in the same God) so I hope this call of curiosity not only sparks a beautiful journey for you, but also a means for you to find the truth.
Ultimately my sister, as people of faith we believe that there will be an hereafter, and its only logical that only one faith will be the correct faith on that day, so I urge you to read and truly study about Islam and how it came about, because in reality and you may learn this later on in life, Islam has existed since the beginning of time. From the time of Adam, to Noah, to Moses, to Jesus and now to Muhammad, the one thing they all preached, was to believe in Allah i.e God alone, for he created the heavens and the earth, and not to associate partners with him and that is what the true meaning of Islam is, to submit yourself to the one and only creator. Al - Allāmah Aḥmad Al - Najmi رحمه الله said,
“A mans affair is not complete nor his life pleasant except by way of a righteous wife.
And a woman will not be at peace nor her life pleasant except by way of a righteous husband.”

you know what when I was still single and always used to make Dua for a good and dilligent husband,I did not thought of the physical appearance and piousness,and alhamdullilah!!!Allah gave me what I wanted but it was my fault of not asking him for more,because Allah is the most giving and generous,so for all the single ladies or men out there if you want something that you think is impossible,to Allahu ta ala there in no impossible so make Dua more!!!

I think a man truly wants a beautiful soulmate, that beauty can vary from looks to character or both. A man will always get desires to mate with other women that’s instinctual for procreation, however a Man desires a true soulmate someone he can love and protect. Respect cultures, respect religions, respect race, we are all children on this earth grown into adults are minds are shaped to our surroundings. One thing is true love is true power.
It's true, society especially the western culture tries to teach us that men and women are different (justifying the fitna that could happened in relationships), but when men and women have taqwa, they all behave the same. Towards respect, loyalty, and enduring love. Protectors of each other ❤️

@fiddah Good looks, though are usually objective, in the sense only people who are lucky to have the best golden ratios are deemed attractive across races. Looks matter. Nothing wrong with saying it out loud. Too many women are under the impression that men will only see their piety and don't improve their looks in the process.

@@imjustvisiting5397 how do you improve your looks? However Allah made you that's how you'll be, and it's impermissible to beautify yourself using makeup or show your attributes. Of course both men and women will have preferences, and beautiful people get lot of advantages when finding a partner, but beauty is subjective afterall, what doesn't appeal to you may appeal to others, and some people may find average looking women better because beautiful women will cause you a lot of worry or jealousy, it really depends. Of course everyone should look clean and presentable but we should also be satisfied with what Allah gave us and think highly of ourselves.

Getting braces, teeth whitening, skin and laser treatment, if you have too much acne, hair, or wrinkles. All of this is important for women to continue being attractive to their husbands. Beauty is not subjective. It's a lie the media and fat positivity movement is telling you. All husbands want wives with slender bodies, glowing tight skin, white teeth, and chiseled features. This is not so that women show off, but to maintain desirability for their husbands. Too many husbands complain of overweight, hairy, unshowered wives in pajamas these days.

I would have appreciated this video more if the Sheikh referred to surah An-Nur 24:30…the man has an equal responsibility to lower his gaze and act faithfully. That is part of his fitrah too.

The point was when shaytan tried to Tempt him (beautiful woman are everywhere. U can only block it really if u walk around with ur eyes shut) but the piety of his wife makes him remember what true beauty is
For new- and non-Muslims, he means that the most important characteristic of a woman is her relationship to God/Allah----the One and the Only God. Since every woman wants to be beautiful, God allowed her to look beautiful through the years because her prayer life throughout those years had always been strong.
It also means that Allah grants us those things, if He so wills, that we earnestly supplicate Him for (make dua).

I know many people who are religious and committed and do not miss an fard or a Sunnah, but they refuse to carry a garbage bag for an old woman and ignore her as if she did not ask because they fear that their hijab will get dirty. My point is that appearances are only appearances. Do not be deceived by looks, dress, etc. Think about things in the long run, because in life you will face many situations in which neither the beauty of your wife nor the wealth of your husband will help you.

If I ask allah to give me a husband, I will think of a thousand qualities that I want in him before I think about appearance, money, educational level, or anything else.

Although i agree with you concerning humility it's better to pray for perfection while abstaining from adultery and such than settle for less and have a failed marriage.

I’m being honest now, our brothers and sisters are becoming racist towards each other’s. Marriage are being ruined, based off on our culture or skin colour. I’m saying this because I’ve been experiencing this type of issue and I’m still saddened till this day. They rejected cause I’m from “Pakistan” and they are Arabs. I just hope it goes all well for our community and pray for the righteous partners inshallah.
