Part two takes it to a whole new level with a base next to my main venus base with automatic construction and more resources. It's completely unnecessary but you know might as well go there haha!
As in NMS, this is another great guide, I have my starter base on Androphon, but just to let you know there is a much better planet located in the Bessel system (11 o'clock from Sol). The moon Bessel III B, gives Iron, Alum, Nickel, Cobalt, (Argon, H2O, Platinum & Neon) AND has a time ratio of 1hr LT= 57hrs UT.
Hawkes, thanks for the video! Outposts are an element of ganeplay I've been neglecting so this video's timing couldnt be better. I appreciate the work you put in-you've bern steering me right since Elite Dangerous. Keep flying, Commander!
Thank you for another awesome video Hawkes.. I finally got fed up with the vendors never having enough money so I always use the same few and hack their wallet using cheat engine and give them 50 million. Now I can sell all my goods in 1 trip and get my money faster without having to mess around for ages. cheers
I'm going to use this Venus base to get to level 325 which will give me enough points to max all skills. It won't take long cause when it's all charged I get massive exp at once crafting multiple different items. If you want to get to level 325 and beyond you really need a base like this to get there. Or have literally the most ripped clicker finger in history lol!
I love your starcitizen vids which I've found super useful and you've transferred the same approach to starfield which I love too! Please keep up the good work
Btw I liked and subscribed. I liked and found you video better than all the other out there who do not go into this level of detail. This is not for beginners. This is a system to build linked bases to build ultimate artifacts which ultimately sell good. I am sure Batesda will increase on this as there is not enough to gain from this just yet.
Ok all watched and loved :D I didn't get into outpost stuff until my low 20's and I have already advanced to 51 through my haphazard approach so this is going to help a lot. I had a starting outpost on andraphon with the 5 resources and I had already added gold and tungsten outposts and I just built a slightly down-scaled version of your hauler last night so this is going to help me pull everything together. Just to confirm, you are only shipping one resource on each cargo link yeah? I have seen other guides where they are shipping multiple resources on a single link and I often wondered how that would work out on the receiving end. Only thing I would suggest is that it might be an idea to mention the research you need to have completed to access some of the things you are building (like advanced extractors, robots etc) Onwards and Upwards! Looking forward to your next guide on this topic (and all the others) :D
Love the videos and tips as always. I was happy to see you picked this up after watching your no mans sky videos. Question: what is the difference in what you said at 10:40 about the storages not filling from the cargo links to then sleeping to refresh the storage at 10:59?
Great video! I love building outposts just like ships. It would be nice if it was possible to sell large quantities of product in game to make large profits. Due to the limited financial room of the vendors outpost are useless for making money. So indeed that leaves us only with xp farming. I hope this will be changed.
Not really. Go collect 2000 iron and aluminum and then hop around to the trade vendors if you don't feel like waiting the 24 hours right outside for the credits to refresh. By the time your 2000 is gone you'll have stacks of credz.
Better yet hop over to stryx if you sided with the pirates. You can empty out every vendor in that hallway including trade authority for 30k or more per wait.
Space cheddar ftw bro. Have you had any issues with cargo links being buggy? I have a 12 base setup but some of the cargo links only work sporadically. Other than that, enjoying the game. Thx for the vid 👍
Yes once they caused my game to lag about every 10 seconds. That was extremely frustrating until I figured it out. All I had to do was unhook them then re-hook them up. I also had them not deliver things even though it was all wired correctly. Deleting the cargo link then placing again fixed that problem too.
The game says I can only have 3 inter system cargo links at one outpost, yet you have the ability to build 6. What that ability lost in an update, or did I miss doing something?
This is really good but what I really need help us with the cargo length because I'm producing lead faster than I'm producing silver and as a result it's taking up all the space I have set store solids any advice on that?
@@dirkniedfeld7411 no they are going to the solids container but I'm producing One faster than the other and as a result alarm running out of space to house the other.
@@dirkniedfeld7411 I have one base that's producing lead faster than it is producing silver and as a result when I send it over a cargo Link the link is almost filled with lead but very little silver and if I take the silver out and use it it's going to get filled with lead. So what I think I needed the ability to sort what materials go into which container so that if I ever run out of silver the cargo Link will go okay I need to stop sending lead and start sending silver because this container dedicated to it is empty
I was all exited to learn how to build an outpost (because Bethesda couldn't be bothered to show us.) After watching this and seeing just how mind-numbingly boring a task it will be just to rank up, I've decided to drop my base building plans. I'll stick to the fun stuff.

if you can afford investing in all these completely useless skills you dont need to rush experience grind anymore, might wanna consider what demographic you are aiming at when making a guide XD
Which is ironic cause before game plus this is what I did from scratch. I show the exact materials you need to max out those 3 skills and starting building an actual base with good parts. I'm not about showing someone an almost good way to do things. I show them the best way to think to achieve their goals faster than normal. It's also ironic that my first video after launch was showing how a level 1 - 3 character who just got to new atlantes how to make 100k an hour inside new atlantes.
