Is that what they call a "spool"? That whistle right before the acceleration? I quite like it, like some kind of warning that u ain't dealing with some ordinary car. (I don't even think I'm a car guy based on how casual I am, I just like manual and wish to drive one someday and do all these stuff) I was doing research on roll racing and Mitsu Evos for an upcoming project, and I really fixated on this video in particular for some reason. When I post it, know that this video was a great inspiration for me.

At the time I was running a act hd. Im currently putting in a act 6 puck at the moment. The trans its stock it sounds like your synchros may be going out
Get the redline cocktail trans fluid. I had a 2014 that trans fluid alone fixed everything. My 2015 I put the same fluid in and it helped alot but I still feel a little something in 3rd. Nowhere near as bad as it was though
Its a map downpipe with open dump. As far as im aware it’s discontinued but you can still find it on the marketplace etc. After that its a tomei expreme ti all the way back.

My rolls usually consist of 40-140 or 60-150. Most of the time I’m not looking at the speedo lol, I pay more attention to the road and whats going on around me when doing a pull.

Not sure where you pulled 50mph from thats over 100 but as far as focus st go they are fricken slow my friend has a big turbo e30 tuned st and it has a hard time beating my truck with bolt ons and nitrous

Yes some intakes will actually make this sound too without a turbo his car builds and holds boost nicely from the looks of it too

I’ll never understand why people like those shifters besides the lock outs, i feel like they don’t help you shift faster much either
Me personally would never spend $800 on a short shifter but I bought the car with it and personally like how it feels so Im sticking with it

This is the atp version with no t51r mod. Id credit the MAPerformance downpipe with open dump tube. It’s discontinued but ets sells something similar
